Property Ratings at Shadowridge Park Apartments
This complex is absolutely disgusting. Mold, water leaks, faulty electrical work, broken "new" appliances, spider infestations, amenities are always out of service. The list goes on and on. There's hardly any visitor parking. 30/60 shot your assigned parking spot will be under a covered spot. They advertise garages.. but can't rent them out because the "worker" need them.. Management does not care about any of the tenants. I haven't met a single person that likes it here. Almost no one stays longer than a year. Cops are constantly called because there are a few tweakers constantly making a scene at all hours of the night and management wont do anything about it. Any positive reviews are more than likely from the workers themselves. I promise. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPLEX!!!

Outside our window there is an AC unit that is extremely loud, we cannot rest and we let them know numerous times however, they really do not care. They never brought in a specialist to take a look at it. If you want a more detail explanation please read on but in a nutshell they are just careless. At 75 decibels, level of noise equal to a noisy restaurant. The City of Vista has a limit of 55 decibels for noise during the night. With their one pane windows it is not enough to cancel much of it and I still have about 65 decibels inside my bedrooms. I told them about it numerous times but they do not care they are using non licensed HVAC contractors that cannot fix the problem and tell me that it is not loud enough. City of Vista does not care also they sent someone during the day, after I complained, without any equipment to check the noise and they said that it is not too bad. Honestly I feel trapped between two careless organizations. We cannot rest properly because of how loud this AC is and we have small children

Tried calling for emergency maintenance request from the number that they gave. No one answers -had to leave VM -no one calls back until 4-5 hours later. Gave me new number which does go anywhere either. I've been unable to use my bathroom for 4 days now- manager said he can't help me with my corporate complaint but just email them. What customer service.

Do not rent from here. Work request takes weeks to complete. The landscape is not maintained, everything is out of date and needs renovation. This is the worst apartment I've been to.

Willmark Communities/management/ maintenance are horrible. Very unprofessional. No integrity. Office staff doesn’t get back to you as promised. Dishonest and misleading. They don’t own up to their mistakes and hold their staff accountable. They don’t have their tenants best interest.
Shadowridge Park has many problems, chief of which is very poor upper management. While on-site staff has been mostly very nice, it has turned over many times in a short time. Recent new roofs on all buildings and garages may have corrected the water leakage and mold problems that plagued the community for a while. However, maintenance of the property and some apartment items remain poor. Overall, the community needs extensive renovation. Only one vehicular entrance/exit is available at South Melrose Drive, and heavy traffic or a car accident can completely block that entrance/exit and heavy traffic often does.
Shadowridge is an awesome complex. Parking can be a bit of an issue but the units are nice. Best part is they come with a washer/dryer. The laminate floors make cleaning a breeze. Lots of storage space too! The only down fall is you have to drive pretty far to get anything like groceries or go to the store. Other than that's it's pretty nice.
Shadowrigde apartments has been a quiet, peaceful environment for me and my family. The staff usually responds within 24 hours of work request. One thing that may need improvement is the slanting ceiling on top floor units. The slant makes the living rooms appear smaller than they really are.
I recently moved to CA and this is my first apartment. Considering the cost of living I think Shadowridge is great. They have everything I need, A/C, washer/dryer in unit, and most importantly they let my dog live here! I would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a decently priced apartment!
