The far southwest suburbs of Dakota County sit roughly 25 miles from both downtown areas. Primarily families reside in this area, and they enjoy an affordable cost of living, well-planned neighborhoods and a short (half an hour in low traffic conditions) commute into the city.
In this expanse of the Twin Cities' urban fringe, residents have their choice of newly constructed homes on large lots or attractive apartments in large blocks with modern amenities. While parts of Dakota county overlap with St. Paul proper, the outer edges of the county still host farms and natural areas.

Property Ratings at Shannon Glen Townhomes
When I first moved in here, the plow company was great, they were out shoveling side walks, clearing a path in front of the garages, while it was still snowing,! last year was a was not as good. This year have been a complete disaster. I believe there supposed to come out at 3 or 4 inches. All the resident's hear is due to the heavy snow are crew's are doing the best they can! (We recommend everyone have a shovel on hand in case you need to get yourself out before we are able to get snow cleared away) This is Minnesota, if the City of Rosemount can have DRY sidewalks, before ours are even shoveled, might be something wrong!!! One other thing I moved in to this townhome apartments, not wanting to shovel, or walk thorough 8 inches on snow on my way to the garage! I could go on about plowing all the snow in front of the garbage dumpster, or the lawn company (probably the same) using cars as backstops for blowing leaves!

Hello: Thank you for taking your time to leave your feedback regarding our snow removal and lawn maintenance contractors. We are taking your concerns seriously and are looking into why this has occurred. We appreciate any and all feedback and we hope that we can work towards a solution.
My experience with the Shannon Glen was okay with the townhome itself. Recently updated and a great set up. There is only one AC unit for upstairs for two bedrooms and the bedroom with no AC got very hot during the summer, even with multiple fans blowing. It would be nice for management to put AC in all bedrooms. The handymen were usually pretty quick to fix repairs requested and were nice. Issues with rude/loud neighbors is what led me to leave this complex. The neighbor was constantly running up and down the stairs which sounded like a bowling ball getting thrown down the stairs. He was also constantly slamming doors, peering in our windows and walking in our yard. After making multiple attempts to address the neighbor with no results, I turned to management for help but they were not helpful and didn't care. They only advice they had was to call the police. After the drama with the neighbors, I got a nail stuck in my tire and found hundreds of nails thrown in front of my garage and where I park. I have no proof, but believe this was my neighbor trying to retaliate for contacting management. The lights in the parking lot are constantly going out making it very dark to see at night and management never seemed to care. There were numerous nights where shady people hung out by the dumpsters, including the neighbor and you could hear people screaming. I didn't feel safe going out at night. Overall, the townhomes are very nice on the inside, the complex is fairly quiet during the day/afternoon time and a lot of families seem to live here which is nice, but getting a complex next to very rude/creepy neighbors and being ignored by management gave me a negative outlook on this complex for this reason, I probably wouldn't recommend this place to others.
This property was VERY clean and up to date. It was in a quiet neighborhood as well. The only possible down fall of the location is that it was right next to the fire department. The two bedroom split level was beautiful. Fresh neutral paint in all rooms as well as new appliances and counter tops. They also have very affordable prices. I wanted to move in as soon as I saw it but my boyfriend reassured me that we only needed a one bedroom !
