Property Ratings at Sharonridge Apartments
My husband and I have been trying to sign a lease with them and trying to get information from them is terrible. We were constantly going in circles and being asked to repeat the same information we had given multiple times. We were told by two different people that they did month-to-month leasing, and it wasn’t until we paid our application fee that they let us know they only do 6 month leasing. If their communication is any indication of what it is like to live there, I would stay away.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!! THEY NEVER REPAIR ANYTHING!! All they care about is taking your money without fulfilling any of their obligations as landlords. I have lived here for almost 7 months and they still haven't fixed several things since my move in day. They will do and say anything to avoid actually repairing anything. I've had to get the head office involved, twice, and it still isn't getting me anywhere. They won't let you hire professionals to fix the issues and subtract the cost to you from the rent. They just want you to be ok with a broken apartment while paying full price rent. The area is constantly riddled with trash because they don't maintain the grounds either. They stopped paying their recycling bill almost 2 months ago and tried to hide the bins so we wouldn't notice. The bins have been full for almost 2 months. Appliances are dated, kitchen is small. Find somewhere else to live.

I lived here almost 2 years and now planning to move back. Quiet neighbors mind they own business. Very recommended. Apartments are a little old but for the price you can’t beat it
I am a current resident and this complex is horrible! It is bug infested, maintenance doesn’t fix anything, poorly managed and just unorganized! I am so disappointed with living in this complex. I have had three ceiling leaks that attracted a bunch of bugs and I have complained several times to the property manager and even called the owners! Nothing gets done! This isn’t a safe environment to raise a child either with all the mold that keeps developing from the water damage.
Wife and I have lived here for 6 months and have been very satisfied...very quite here but the true asset of this complex is the resident manager (Geneva) who is always available and goes out of her way to rectify any issue...even the most simple maintenance problem or question...one of the few apartments I've seen where the maintenance man responds the same day and is on the grounds every day
I lived at Sharon ridge from Nov '14 to Nov '16. First of all, i want to say that the people they hire are excellent. It is beyond their control of the conditions of the apartments. The apartments are simply poorly built and need structural renovations. 1) Hot water. If you take more than 10 minutes to bathe, this place isn't for you. I literally had to decide if I was going to wash my hair or shave my legs during the shower. There is no way to do both with only 10 minutes worth of hot water. The maintenance man tried everything he could including changing out the water heater but it never rectified the problem. 2) Insulation. I lived in a 2 BR unit that isn't even 1K sqft. My utility bill was consistently almost $200. I've lived in larger apartments and even lived in a 3BR 2 bath home and my bill was never consistently this high. I even got Duke energy to come out and check the meter. The ONLY time I've had a utility bill this high in my adult life was during a winter month of record level low temperatures. When I moved in I could tell there was a SEVERE insulation issue. The heat hardly Ever went off. I brought it to the maintenance guy's attention only to be told that the buildings were poorly insulated and that it was reported to the owner. The tracking on the sliding door was completely off which cause more gaps at the base and sides. I also taped the windows on the interior, sealed the guest bedroom off from the rest of the apartment and lined the entrance doorway with insulating foam. 3) The building maintenance – the stairwell and breezeway were not being maintained and haven’t been pressure washed in ages or at least not since I lived there which gave the outside of the apartment a very displeasing look and a bad stench. 4) Poor insulation between floors. The adults were CONSTANTLY pacing back and forth and there was a young child that lived above me and made it completely unbearable to live there. The constant running all day everyday back and forth was enough to drive me near the brink of insanity. This kid LITERALLY ran and jumped until 4am almost Every night as if he was going for Olympic gold. I absolutely HATED coming home everyday due to all the noise that went into the wee hours of the morning. No kids should be allowed to live in the upstairs units due to the poor insulation between floors.
Perfect apartment floor plan for my wife and my baby on the way
Only 19 have my own apartment with the mother of my kid and we have never lived somewhere like this place. So quite. Nice floor plan and awesome 8 foot deep people
Nice quiet neighborhood and very convenient location to shopping centers / interstates. The price is less then average on a neighborhood and it very reasonable. Apartments furnished with full kitchen equipment, Minus: pool works time to time and maintenance should be more quicker and often.
