Property Ratings at Shelbourne Apartments
They will not refund your security deposit no matter how many phone calls or emails you send, so do not pay your final month's rent. That's the only way to outsmart these thieves Also, heat is controlled by the building and switched off at will, so make sure you have a space heater to avoid freezing to death.
Hanna Properties bought this building last year and, while they have made some updates to the building, their property management services are lacking. Requests for repairs, etc. are usually forgotten and/or overlooked. Our doorbell calls the wrong phone number and we've asked twice to have it updated, still nothing. We've pretty much given up. Also, the elevator is original to the building, which is cool the first few times you ride it, but having to open two heavy sets of doors manually every time you enter or exit the elevator gets old real quick (especially since the cab doesn't even level with the floor, so you're always tripping over the threshold). The building is nice enough and the location is great, if you come here with low expectations, you'll be happy.
