Shelby Park Manor, a community for those 55 and older offers secured entrances, elegant 2 story lobby, gathering room, private patio or balcony with door wall, kitchen with built-in appliances, ceramic tile bathrooms, laundry room, kitchen and foyer window treatments, carpet throughout living room, dining room & bedrooms, laundry facilities in each unit, easy access elevator, safety weather shelter rooms in each building, individually controlled air conditioning and heat, walking distance to Stony Creek Metro Park, transportation available by Shelby Twp Senior Center. Carports: $ 40 p/month (if available) Pets - NO pets allowed ALL buildings except for 1 are SMOKE FRIENDLY! Lease: 1 year- no other options available Note: some available units may NOT include a microwave/hood fan or carport. Property Ratings at Shelby Park Manor Apts - 55 & OVER
Avoid avoid avoid! They like to ignore all work orders and refuse to up keep their property. You will have to wait months for basic repairs if they do them at all! From summer till fall they had 4 feet tall weeds growing in all their flower beds. Parking lots are giant pot holes even at the new buildings. They enjoy making tentants time at the complex as miserable as possible. Be prepared for a headache if you rent with them!
The area and apartment is Great. However, I've been here for about a year and a half and not looking to sign another two year lease simply because the building I reside in doesn't get cleaned and I've been waiting to get my door handle on my shower fixed for months. I do not like hounding staff to get maintenance work done regardless as to how minute staff feels it is. I pay rent on time and I should have a clean building to come home to and any maintenance work completed in a timely manner. I have a full time job and a small business and it's just ridiculous to have to ask for service more than once. I should have considered the reviews before moving in here because they were right about the staff and maintenance issues.

Love the apartment! So spacious and a bonus to have in unit full size washer and dryer - no laundry mat trips! Maintenance staff is friendly and office girls are so nice and efficient!
I read the managers response to the 2018 review promising things will get better. Here we are in 2021 and maintenance is STILL non existent. The problem is the owners, who don't budget for decent maintenance. Management has an impossible job of scheduling work orders for 594 apartments that will soon be 132 more when new construction is finished. We have a handyman at best and can only hope we don't need any serious or emergency help before the lease ends. To that end, I hope everyone has a "plan B."
This complex is quiet. Very close to shopping and Stoney Creek Park. People are very friendly. Will enjoy it more when stay at home order is modified . Three things you need to be mindful of is: This is a 55 and over community yet there are younger people living here. No pet policy yet support pets allowed. There is a two year initial lease. We plan on staying here years even if our health takes a hit. Apartments can accomadate handicap . See a lot of wildlife in the area. Very accomadating.

Thank you for your recent review. Wanted to clarify that we do have a NO PET POLICY; however some animals are not pets and are classified as medically necessary where by we are obligated by law with proper documentation to accept these animals.
Maintenance issues are the worst for being resolved! The apartments are comfortable and brand new. But try to get a repair done, forget it. The management is nice and do the best they can with so many apartments to take care of now. Not real fond of the owner/builder. Wants the rent on time but no on time maintenance. Beautiful buildings tho....

I love it here. The apartments are great! They are affordable and have everything you need for an apartment. All appliances, you even get a laundry room in your apartment. The manager Deann is great. I love everything about this place. Every day on my drive into work, I see an abundance of wild life just outside of Stony Creek MetroPark. I've seen Deer, Turkeys every morning, etc. It is extremely quiet other than the additional buildings being built but they are long gone before bed time. It's just the best area and the price is even better. I accepted a new job an hour away that I just could not pass up and I am really going to miss this place. Definitely recommend!
This apartment is great! It has the best amenities in my apartment that I could ask for, two walk in closets plus a third non-walk in. My own laundry room, full baths, etc. It's great. Only downsides is that the management isnt the best and they do not allow any pets at all.
The apartments here are very well priced for their size and quality. The units each have their own laundry, dishwasher, etc. Walk in closets, two bed/two bath units available. They dont however allow pets. Over all I would say it is a great place to live.
