Property Ratings at Shepard School Lofts
Its only one property manager he does not answer his phone and its no number to get in contact with maintenance when you put in a maintenance request. The only time he want to talk to you is the beginning to get you to move in he never knows anything. You will never be a priority he does not care about his tenants and you will receive no kind of compensation for things going wrong with your apartment or your car get broken into on the parking lot. AC unit stay broke always need to be fixed.
I lived here for 2 years. Everything in the apartment is brand new while still maintaining the history of the building. The security is top notch and the dog park is very secure. There is a clean gym in the basement and there are grills in the common area. The residents are all really nice. I enjoyed my stay here overall.
This is an excellent community. I am comfortable in the gym. There's a fun dog park that is wonderful for drinking your morning coffee. All the neighbors smile and say hello. The owner and workers are kind and very helpful.
Our daughter moved into Shepard School Lofts a few weeks ago and is having a great experience. Beautiful old building that's been meticulously renovated, incredibly safe and secure (this is #1 for her), loads of amenities, and a super responsive and friendly building manager. A+++
I moved in last December and have enjoyed the friendly neighbors and ability to walk to work. All my friends that have seen the building ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ at how cool the space inside is. The tenants are quiet and landlord is very approachable and receptive to any need. Gated parking was a major factor to decide to move into the city and it feels safe for the area. Lots of awesome restaurants nearby and cool areas to walk around as it warms up.
I’ve been living here for a while and I love that it’s in an old school building and that all the amenities are new. However, make sure you are reading all the fine details of the lease. There is a lot of stuff that I missed and the landlord is very strict. Also there will be a lot of tacked on fees, fair warning.
Property Manager at Shepard School Lofts, Responded To This Review
We’re happy to hear that you are enjoying SSL! We have no tacked on or hidden fees – all fees related to pets, storage, utilities, etc. are clearly disclosed and discussed before a lease is signed, are stipulated on the lease, and on the tenant portal. Perhaps you are referring to the recent notice of associated fines that we put in place? This was done because some residents and/or their guests were violating existing policies – such as parking in other residents’ reserved spaces, smoking, etc. – which are in place for the safety and best interest of all our residents and property. The notice has successfully served as a deterrent as we continue to strive to make SSL a very pleasant and safe environment for all residents.
I have the pleasure of living here and so far my experience has been nothing but amazing. It’s has everything I want and need out of an apartment plus more. The owner is amazing and is always helpful. Also it’s an old school that’s pretty amazing it self. It’s all new washer and dryer hookup!!! Couldn’t ask for a better first apartment!!
My wife and I had been looking for a new place for some time. Shepard lofts management was extremely accommodating and met us that very day. The owner spent time showing us the different and unique lofts on the property. He understood our budget and bent over backwards so we could call this place our home. Our apartment is modern with all the amenities we could ask for. It feels more like a condo than an apartment.
