Property Ratings at Sheridan Apartments
I looked at a number of luxury apartment complexes in the Shrewsbury area before choosing Sheridan, but no other place felt "right." Sheridan management made me feel very welcome from the beginning. Dawn and Kerry in the management office immediately made me feel like family, and made the application process smooth and simple. The maintenance staff are incredibly responsive and considerate of your needs and your time. Sheridan lease prices are very competitive, and the property offers nicely sized apartments with a contemporary feel--all within well-kept grounds with nice amenities. Heat being included makes Sheridan a "no-brainer" in the winter months. The amount I have saved by not having to pay for heat has been extremely helpful in my savings for a house. More important than any of the above though is that the other residents are all polite and friendly people. I have never had a negative interaction with a neighbor. We all happily exchange smiles and "hellos," while also respecting each other's privacy. There are a lot of young professionals living here, so I have never had to deal with excessive noise or other nonsense. It has truly been a pleasure living here at Sheridan Apartments. I cannot say enough good things about this experience.
Loved that apartment - lived there for 1 1/2 years. I have nothing negative to say about Sheridan Apartments (while reading some negative reviews, that DOESN'T sound like Sheridan Apartments - that's my own perspective) Whenever our apartment needs some repairing or anything like that, they come right up and fix whatever needs to be fixed. Whenever the weather's nice and perfect, I enjoyed walking around, it's very quiet and peaceful. The first morning of our stay - we actually saw a beautiful deer walking. They gave us perfect view of wood scenery. The Property Management, Kerry, has been very helpful. Soon as we found out we got approved for mortgage and we didn't want to lose the opportunity to buy a place we call home, Kerry helped us step by step - we didn't just "break" the lease, we'd close the lease as soon as we have tenant to replace us. Kerry warned that Mid-November through January would be hard to find tenant, good enough she found one few days before we moved out (first week of December), we didn't have to pay for the rest of the rent through end of May as that's when our lease expires (except we paid for first week of December as they need to get things ready for the next tenant). I sure do miss that place. Hope it's something that would convince you to look at Sheridan Apartments ~ Dean W-B
I lived here from 2018 to early 2022, and I would still be living here but for an unexpected opportunity I had to buy my own home. And although I had to break the lease halfway through, Kerry the property manager had my apartment rented within 5 days after I moved out!! Thank you Kerry! The property is quiet and safe. Management and maintenance staff are super nice and respond very quickly to any repairs needed. Great location too, near everything you’d need. I highly recommend the Sheridan!

Thank you for your kind words! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at Sheridan Apartments. Kerry Kirley, Property Manager
I moved in about one month ago. The apartment was freshly painted and had new carpeting. Kerri the manager is terrific. She always has a smile on her face and a cheerful outlook! Any problem has been addressed within 24 or less hours.

I needed to move fairly quickly and Kerry the property manager was super helpful and very friendly. She was able to answer additional questions after I signed the lease and past moving in. Grounds are well maintained and the complex is very quiet which Kerry reiterated when I first came to see the model apartment!

They call these apartments "luxury" but they're not even close. I came from a luxury apartment complex to this one, thinking it'd be more of the same based on the virtual tour I experienced. Kitchen appliances are all flimsy, low-tier quality. The carpets they use are cheap and not the same color as the model. The paint on the walls is the cheapest on the market. I know because they scratch easily, even if you just run a finger across them. They do not allow you to hang anything on the walls. And I have learned the hard way just how cheap these walls are because I took a 3mm strip off the wall twice and it tore part of the wall off with it. Very cheap and very poor quality. We had an ant issue in the fall and it kept returning, despite them putting down traps. They then sent an exterminator to the apartment with no prior warning or communication. The exterminator said they needed to spray the apartment, which I had to decline because I have two cats and didn't have anywhere I could put them on such short notice. Additionally, I had dinner on the stove so the timing was poor. No one communicated to me when the exterminator was even coming to begin with. I called the office to complain and Kerry, the property manager, said it would be another month before the exterminator could come out. I asked if someone could come out sooner because this was the third time we'd dealt with this problem and she told me she'd call me back if the exterminator could return sooner. I never received a call back and the exterminator never returned. We ended up finding a spray that was pet friendly but it should have been the responsibility of the property to take care of this, not the tenants. I think there is a nest somewhere because the issue still comes back from time to time and they've never done anything about it. They had to install/reinstall the garbage disposal 3 times because after the second time, it was giving us small electric shocks sometimes when we were using the water faucet. If you work from home, this is not the place for you. Management never gives any heads up about renovations. The apartment above me is having renovations done and I was never made aware. I work from home and didn't find out about the renovations until I started hearing loud, constant banging coming from the upstairs apartment while on a work call. I called and spoke with Kerry again and asked why I was never notified. She didn't give a reason or an apology for the lack of communication.

We are terribly sorry to hear about these issues & would like to speak with you privately about your experience. Please contact our general manager at sheridanapts@townisp.com when you have a moment. Our tenant’s satisfaction is our top priority.
DO NOT do attempt to rent from Sheridan if you are a student or young professional. After submitting an application, a $500 deposit, and multiple conversations, I was completely left in the dark for weeks with the only contact being contact I initiated. I was led to believe an apartment was available, only to find out after the deposit had been returned to me that no such apartment ever existed. Terrible communication and generally condescending attitude towards younger folks. Avoid.
