On move in day (10/07/23), my apt wasn't ready, had to move into a different apt. Hot water in the kitchen after being fixed still takes too long to get moderately hot. My mailbox door still doesn't close all the way but they finally gave me the right key (took almost a month). On 2/1/24, I went to the office to get a replacement a/c filter but was told maintenance had to install it, so they put a ticket in; as of today (3/4/24), I am still waiting for the filter (which isn't great for my allergies-I sneeze less when I sit outside). I have 2 other tickets to put in but I am trying to see how long before this ticket is completed. There's no garbage can in or near the 3 laundry rooms I have used so they & the machines are rarely ever cleaned. If a broom, dustpan, & garbage can (that gets emptied regularly) was onsite, I would have cleaned while in there. The main thing I dislike is the fact that if I want to pay my rent online a few days early it can't be done until the 1st of every month. On a positive note, I love the location, my neighbors are cool, & the office & maintenance staff are friendly & approachable, and the rent isn't ridiculous.

If I could give a negative 10 on this place I would! The apartments are over priced for what you have to live in. there are shootings and plenty of domestic violence going on in the other apartments around. Now, lets talk about the management. They have no concept of customer service, nor do they like to explain why they say one thing and then turn around and bill you for the same thing they stated that you didn't owe. And when you try and talk to anyone - NO ONE will return calls or emails. I have started a claim on the BBB with this company. Again. RENTERS BEWARE of this place!
Sherwood Acres is a place that you should avoid at all costs. The entire complex is disgusting and poorly maintained. They managed to take some good photos from certain angles, but the rest of the complex is a garbage heap. There is non-existent maintenance. The number of problems I've had to report has been insanely high. Most of the time, the response I get is "Well, that's the best it will ever be." Dishwasher breaks. A/C is 50 years old and doesn't work. Sewage has backed up into the bathtubs. The people running the place are rude. There is literally garbage everywhere. This place should be the LAST place you ever look. The place is disgusting. The employees are rude. Maintenance is useless. Everything about this place is terrible.
Awhile back, I wrote a very negative review of this apartment complex. While there was a fairly recent shooting, I have seen some improvements. First of all, it seems that they are more responsive to maintenance requests. I had a pipe under the bathroom sink break off, and the maintenance person was very friendly and eager to help fix the problem. I noticed yesterday a slip of paper was left indicating someone came from pest control. I don't know what they put out or sprayed, but I haven't noticed any more roaches like in the past. I also have noticed the parking lots are usually much cleaner than before, and I see workers outside picking up trash often. I don't like writing negative reviews, but the last one I submitted was only indicative of my experience up until that point. However, like I stated, I am noticing some improvements around here. Maybe they are under new management. Whatever the case, I would like to thank whoever is making sure these things were corrected.
I give this place 4 stars because it’s not luxury. It’s just a regular apartment. I’ve read reviews about rodents. I don’t have any, and I’ve never seen any. Just 1 roach when I didn’t sweep my kitchen for a month. We have pest control. I live in the front, and if I had to live in the back I wouldn’t live here. I’m not sure what it looks like back there. There are pools, but I’ve never been. Living here is like just having a house, not like a resort like luxury apartments are. I’ll be moving to a luxury apartment soon. But I feel safe here, and it’s affordable. Maintenance comes a day after you put in a request, and the rental staff people are nice. Also it’s very very very quiet and peaceful at night.
People please save your hard earned money and move elsewhere!!! This is the WORST apartment I’ve ever lived in. I’m looking into contacting legal aid to get advice on how to get out of this lease. I’ve been here since April 2018 and I had over 10 maintenance requests! I’ve complained about the same thing over and over (toilet and a/c). They will send someone out and temporarily fix the issue. I’m so tired of calling maintenance for the same issue. It was so bad, I had to drive to Walmart in the middle of the night to buy a fan so I can cool off. I hate it so much. Please don’t waste your money here. This is the worst decision I’ve made so far. The tenants here are nasty. People leave their trash outside their door, my neighbor has been seen outside numerous of times in nothing but his underwear, smoking weed. Please believe I will not be renewing my lease next year. Absolutely not!
Everything you read in their discription is s LIE! I've lived here for a little over a year, and it's a nightmare. My apartment and car have been broken into. Office staff needs major training on policies and procedures. I'm being illegally evicted because of misinformation I received from the office staff. So now I'm homeless for the next 2 weeks.
I had a rodent problem because they don't let them come spray the apartment like they should. Also I saw a rat in home. The appliances are very old. They don't have any pet stations but they allow pets. My bathroom and kitchen sink were leaking to the downstairs apartment.

Old complex with many apartments, slow emergency maintenance, no patrol officers although they will tell you there are, neighbors that allow there pets to go anywhere on the property and dont take the time to clean it up. Slight pest problem as well, could be the excess of trees, but the roaches almost look like there on steroids and they like to crawl on the sewer lids that are right by the apartments. The kitchens could definitely use an upgrade. You get what you pay for though.

Constant drug dealing, cars broken into and crime. Unsafe! Esp if you have children. Infested with fleas, ac doesn't work and you better hope nothing breaks! It will take them days to fix it. They also like to leave passive aggressive notes in your door
