Resting an hour and a half north of Philadelphia, Bethlehem is located in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, steeped in rich industrial and colonial history. It’s endured a revitalization over the years, but its surge in popularity hasn’t hampered its old-city charm. While Bethlehem may be under 20 square miles, there is a ton to discover.
Experience the city’s beginnings in the historic downtown district, which houses several museums and landmarks. Spend a day learning about mills, wash house, and other structures in the Colonial Industrial Quarter, or the town’s role in the steel industry at the National Museum of Industrial History. After your history lesson, visit some of the specialty shops, galleries, and local eateries in the downtown area.
If you’re an art lover, you’ll fit right in because this quaint town is home to a vibrant visual and performing arts scene, with several spaces dedicated to artistic expression.

Property Ratings at Sherwood Apartments
This place is horrible! Can’t control heat in the winter, can’t get anything fixed unless you threaten to call city inspector, maintenance is more worried about getting high than actually communicating anything, gone weeks without hot water. Only time all of our problems were “fixed” is when there was a fire in one of the units and the city came in to inspect.
This is the worst place I've rented without lying. 1. These apartments are super old. 2. It's very cold in winter. It filters very cold from the windows. Since the windows are loose. Super dangerous especially for those of us who have children and live on the second floor. 3 there is no pool or playground. 4. Maintenance is a garbage you call every day so that they fix something and they don't come. I lasted 6 months waiting for a door to be fixed. They only fix it cause I called the city. 7. It didn't help to call the city. Well, the owner has a friend who works there and always takes the cases of these apartments and nothing is solved !!!!!. 8. The pipes are damaged, there is not enough water. And sometimes it gets dirty. 9. For everything they want to give you a fine in order to get some money out of you. This is just a little of what happens in these departments. If you want to move here, come to the apartments and if you see someone outside who lives there ask what the place is like and it will confirm 100% everything I'm writing. All the neighbors talk and we regret renting here. If you don't believe in this, I'll write to myself. Stop by and ask the tenants and you'll see all the bad things about this place that they have to say.
absolute lack of concern for the welfare or even life of tenants left them without power and water for 12 days seriously bad bad maintenance flooded several apartments due to stupidity do not get within a 100 miles of this dump ever
Just wanted to say you really need to go to the complex don't believe everything you read. They are nice affordable apartments. Maintenance could be a little better but i'm told they have hired a new team. I saw here something about mold this is totally incorrect. Just like my old place you must keep your place ventilated the right way and its good. people confuse mold with mildew which is usually the case. I moved in & enjoy my apartment have had no problems. Mary in office is a great help when asking questions. would love to have a microwave in the apartment but that would be the only thing I see to get better.
We moved in and there were cockroaches, but within two months they got rid of them through pest control, so not a huge deal. However, the washer/ dryer in the basement is 1.75$ each load and they are always breaking. Maintenance won’t fix them, rather the washer/dryer company has to come fix them. They don’t let you use the storage in the basement even though they advertise it. You have to pay for a pool membership. The playground is pretty pathetic but my kids still have fun. I think my two biggest complaints are that the hot water runs out after a few minutes so if we all need to shower we have to space it out through the day. Second, you can hear all movement in other people’s apartments and the floorboards are very squeaky, so the downstairs neighbor must hate my kids! You can ever hear squirrels running around on the roof throughout he night. However, this place is still nice because we love the area!
I have had great experience with the apartment im in, the maintenance is really good . At first i came to see the apartment expecting nothing but the worst after reading all the bad reviews people had left here, but let me tell you once i moved in everything was the opposite , the apartment was very clean , painted and ready to move in . mary and Julie were very nice and helpful and they are very respectful. I am currently a Tenant in this apartment complex and im not planning on moving anytime soon . Dont judge just base on what you read in the reviews , just come and take a look to judge it your self. Just in case no body told me to write this review i just wanted to let everyone know my experience. Have a good day.
my apartment is average not to shaby ide like to do better tho lol please help me!!
Great starter apartment with affordable rent. Maintenance is a little slow, but has easy access to Route 22, and other major highways in the Lehigh Valley area. Close to the Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) and several industrial parks; the area is thriving in job and career opportunities. Tons of restaurants, malls, and local hang out areas.
Good apartments, with cheap rent, but the maintenance takes foreverrrrrrr, we once waited 4 months to get our dishwasher replaced. Close to 22 and plenty of jobs in the area. Its a nice place with parks and tons of shopping. Good luck!
I rented from them it is terrible. Utilities they include are not worth the terrible condition that make you live in. Glad I moved. Will never ever refer anyone here
