Property Ratings at Sherwood Forest Apartments
Toured and applied for an apartment, the leasing agent waited until we submitted and paid for our application fees before telling us the unit wouldn’t be available by our move in date which we communicated several times. Very shady and not good business practices.
Lived here with my wife and son for two years now. Maintenance came to my apartment on a Sunday night to respond to a request to fix our refrigerator. It took 15 minutes to get over here and about 30 minutes to fix. Yes, there are "interesting" people who move in and out, but you can find that anywhere. Keep in mind folks that there are only 2 or 3 maintenance people for everyone's requests. As for the "they never change the furnace filters" remarks, our filters are changed every 3 months. It has been a nice experience so far.
The units don’t look anything like those pictures. Maybe a select few, but the handful I’ve been in look like they haven’t been updated in my lifetime. Extremely poor cleaning, if any, in between move-out/move-ins, but they’re quick to take cleanliness out of the money you get back when you move out. Exterior and interior of buildings, as well as hallways/stairwells are falling apart. Major mold issue that no one is eager to fix (bathrooms & windows especially), you’re told to “just use more bleach and clean it better.” It is a cheap place to live, compared to the rest of the market. I understand you get what you pay for, but this place is a sick joke.
Maintenance is rude and does their job poorly, streets and parking is really run down, and there's all these hidden charges that they don't tell you until its too late. Only positive is that the people I've seen in the office are polite.
Interior and exterior not in the best of shape. Some neighbors are obvious heavy drug users, so it's not the safest place to live. Have to be firm to get things fixed, etc. However it is affordable and in a good location
Was told i am not allowed to have chairs or my sons toys outside of my window because we do not jace a walk out patio was given 24hours to remove it or else they would send us a eviction notice went to talk to the property manager and was cursed at infront of my one year old son she had called my girlfriend when she was at work and was rude and disrespectful to her also
This place has been a joke since the first day. Had to call maintenance 30-40 times within the first 4 months. Water has been shut off 10 times for full days at a time. You basically pay 800 or more to live in sub par conditions and treated poorly by the management and maintenance.
