Property Ratings at Shores
I've lived here for a year and I can confirm this is probably one of the best managed buildings in Los Angeles. It's been an absolute pleasure living in this community - the management team put in a lot of effort to make this home, including organizing events for residents where they able to meet, spoil you with gifts every now and then and will assist with any maintenance requests with high priority. Highly recommended!
I lived here for 5 years until I had to move away for a job. Loved everything about this property. Big apartments, fabulous pool, super close to the beach, great parking, friendly and helpful office staff. I hope I can move back some day soon.
We moved in 2 months ago and unfortunately experienced nothing but problems. The other tenets allow their dogs to defecate on non-designated areas that are within an arms reach of other's patios and units, and you have to put in a work order that takes days for someone to take care of it. Similarly, the designated pet areas are not well-kept. The building is full of irresponsible dog owners and tenets that take others's packages. Packages being delivered to wrong apartments apparently happen all the time, as per the front desk. Other tenets allow their children to throw things and water off the balconies that fall on other tenets. Perhaps I'd put up with this if the actual apartment was nice, but there is no real tile, everything is laminate, plastic, or some other crappy material. The kitchen faucet is not conducive for anything other than washing your hands. The florescent lighting causes headaches and the standard painting is drab. It's in an excellent location, but that's all it has going for it.
This is by far the best apartment I've ever been at. My kids love it here, my son found 3 boys his age here and they've been going to the beach ever since. There are party every 6 weeks here that have free food and drink, so it gives me some time for me to hang out with my friends. There are a ton of places to get homework and projects done, there's even a business center with computers (both windows and Mac) and a printer. The neighborhood is great, sometimes I let my children go out and get food. It is 5 minutes from the beach so we go surfing all the time.
