Property Ratings at Shoreside Village
Apartment manager Molly is so sweet and prompt in addressing any issues that come up.Nice man made lake, great view to watch beautiful sunsets. Our maintenance man Andre is so quick to respond to any kind of issues...big or small, day or night,if you need something fixed,he's there to do it. Everything in the apartment is brand new. New flooring new washer dryer new appliances new carpets we it's we love it here.
5 years and I should have moved sooner. Parking situation is bad. Children play in the parking lots. Rusty water with sediment from the kitchen sink so filter is needed. Poor snow removal . Garbage control is also an issue. Fire safety is an issue. Laundry is on premises but not well maintained. Thin walls. Management company is shady so keep accurate info on all deposits etc.The lake is nice.
We have lived here nearly 2 used and have minimal issues. Positives: Management is always quick to help with any needs that arise or if you need maintenance, maintenance is extremely kind. The parking situation has improved over the last couple months with a new parking pass system recently put in place. Each apartment has a dedicated space to them as well at no additional cost. Many of the apartments have recently been remodeled to have the laminate flooring and we got to pick a color for our accent wall before we moved in. Apartments are relatively quiet after dark. The majority of the time anything you have delivered is delivered to the front office to eliminate the chances of theft, mail is also locked up. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Tenants appear to be very diligent about picking up after their dogs. Negatives: Washer and dryers are shared (although I've heard a few units have them inside) and do eat change nearly every time we do laundry, if they're even working at all. For awhile we had washer/dryers that you paid with an app on your phone that worked super well but they got taken out unfortunately and replaced again with the coin operated ones for who knows why. The playground got taken out a few months before we moved here and so the kids tend to play in the parking lots and sometimes run out in front of your car. I've been told that a new playground will be installed soon though so hopefully that will help. There are a few shady people who walk around the parking lot and ask for cigarettes, a dollar, etc. Maintenance is pretty good about telling them to leave though. In short I would recommend renting here, the pricing is fair, the apartments are roomy, and the staff is great.
The lake area looks beautiful and have friendly feathered friends but this place is nothing but problems. The laundry rooms are shared and always unsanitary(lots of dog hair so not good for those with allergies). Visitor parking is almost unheard of- as it is always full. I had a very creepy neighbor in his 40s who always ran outside to bother and stalk me and another who screams at people in the evening- sometimes as late as 2 AM. Children play in the parking lot instead of the playground area and has made several dents and scratches on my car...I also had close calls in bumping into them when parking. The biggest problem and main reason to break lease was management. They constantly make mistakes and either delay or forget anything you need help with.
Nice location! Sunny windows are a plus! BBQ next to the lake is great! Management is prompt with any issues that may arise! Parking is safe. Maintenance personnel excellent! Great customer service overall!
Alright if I could give this place zero stars I would! I just moved in at the end of July and I already HATE it and I'm breaking my lease.... I have a downstairs neighbor who is just creepy EVERYTIME I open my apartment door he opens his and runs outside to talk to me and he is like 40.. Even when I pull up to my parking spot he looks out the window and comes outsides and bothers me I can't leave my apartment without being bothered by this guy.. Also the laundry room is nasty!!! It never gets clean and always sucks your quarters.. Oh and the parking!! There isn't even parking for visitors you would like to have over its always full so they would have to park down the street.... Ridiculous. And the one parking spot you have is so tight that you get door dings all the time. I would highly suggest to live else where!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and I have a ant problem in my apartment.. I also can't take baths because it leaks to downstairs...
This apartment complex has a gorgeous view of the man made lake in the back. The apartment manager is a sweet, compassionate, understanding women. She's a no nonsense women that won't allow problems on her property. The living spaces are big enough to fit comfortably a big sectional. The balcony is big too. I like the floor in the kitchen. Unfortunately there is no washer and dryer in the apartment but it's ok for my sister and I.
