Property Ratings at Shoreview at Baldwin Park
Be sure that you read your lease very carefully. There are thing in it that they don’t tell you upfront and things in it that I have never seen in any lease I’ve ever signed. Also, be prepared because they won’t tell you ahead of time that you will need to go to the post office yourself to get your mail key. Yet another thing I have never seen at any other apartment I’ve been at. And of course they don’t tell you that the post office is going to charge you $35 for the keys and to change the lock. On the plus side… the washers and dryers in The laundry rooms are actually reasonably priced. Apartment itself could have been cleaner upon move in.
The office people have been very plait ,and very professionals.
I like the area, it's very peaceful. So far, have not had any issues with anyone or anything. Very conveniently located.
Shoreview of Baldwin is in a decent area and the rental prices are great. I just wish units came with their own washer/dryer.
The apartments are a little outdated. For the price they should be bigger and more renovated. I don't believe they're priced right for what is being offered. The market is high, but those are not market value.
I would recommend it because of the area and the service.
With some apartment updates (windows, doors, countertops, cabinets) I think the apartment would be in much better shape and would have a lot more value.
I already recommended the community to a friend. She is moving in soon.
It?s a good amount of space for the price. I would not completely recommend because finishes are not completed. Issues with pests that are caused from this and just overall issue with pest that needs to be addressed.
It's a good price and a good location and the hardwood floors and countertops are nice. But my apartment had roaches on day 1 as I was moving in and the maintenance staff needs some training.
Chino and Jose are incredible and have done wonders to make my experience with this community great. However, in the past week that I have lived here, I would not recommend this community at all based on any other factors besides maintenances' capabilities and friendliness.

Dear Resident, Though we are ecstatic to hear that our talented maintenance crew is giving you the 5-star service that we pride ourselves on, we are saddened to see that you would not recommend Shoreview at Baldwin Park for any of our other wonderful amenities. Please let us make it up to you by coming to our office and discussing any questions or concerns. Thank you and we hope to round out your experience!
I have been a resident here for 3-4 years. When I first moved in, rent was lower than it is now. It made sense that the amenities that I paid for to the ones that I actually used ratio was good. To clarify, the laundromat was terrible. It required a card system that required you to go into the office, a minimum of $5 per card (which is reloadable), and the washers were small. I would go to the laundromat in a shopping plaza. Since the rent was cheap I didn’t feel anyway about going a distance to wash my clothes. Now, my rent has been raised and my apartment hasn’t been updated. The outside of the complex and the aforementioned on-campus laundromat have been updated. They added storm doors to what used to be open air walkways to dark stairs. They painted the parking lot, planted some pretty flowers, took down the torn and tattered American flag, and laid some multch. I believe the roofs and the gray paint came before the new management. When comparing the price of my apartment to other appartments I have to say I am being robbed. The bathroom, laminate flooring is coming up, shower pressure is completely off, instead of redoing the tile I believe the painted it, the vent fan doesn’t work. Throughout the apartment is laminate wood floors and carpet in the bedrooms and in the living room ). Only one room has a cable outlet, all the electrical sockets are questionable, and the windows have not been updated. HVAC system does well. The ventilation of the apartment is another thing in itself. This apartment was built in 1975, I’m assuming they didn't think central air all the way through. Each room has a one single vent. Depending on which way your apartment and room face, sunrise/sunset is going to be hotter than two slabs of bacon on a frying pan. The AC will not be able to keep up with this and you don’t have ceiling fans. Maintenance is now handled via an app.. That app is terrible. When they are complete you don’t get a notification nor do the leave a work order. It might be me but I like to know if a stranger I requested to come into my home tells me he was there so I don’t leave a million VMs waiting for service. The front office, It would be nice on weekends maybe a 9-12 or something once a month. When I do go into the office the office is aesthetically pleasing but the people that work there service is not. The people that worked here before felt like a mom and pop almost. Current management is a corporation and they treat it as such.

The newly remodeled apartments are nice but are way overpriced. I have lived hear for 5 years and have seen lots of ups and downs. I do really miss the different party they would throw and raffle gift cards. I'm kinda neutral on recommending.

Dear Resident, We appreciate yous input on our new time. Transitions are always tricky and we would love to discuss with you ways in which we can improve our services and ultimately your experience! Please come by our office as soon as you're able to get started.
I've been living here since 2015. A year and a half ago with the old management I would have rated it with a four star, because management when I first moved in was very helpful and would try to assist resident's with any problems that they may had to the best of their ability, but now since a new management took over in 2017 it's by far the worse! Both the receptionist and the management woman are rude! They both don't care about the residents nor there problems that they may have with their apartment. It appears that they both just come to work for a paycheck and are miserable and fail to realize that they work for an apartment complex that when a resident has an issue especially with their AC instead of giving them attitude they should be more helpful to get a solution to the problem especially if they've been without AC for two days. By far the worse experience with management personnel.
Let's be real we are all grateful for what we can afford but a true rating is what's needed...the girl name Kelly with braids is rude and nasty. She is unprofessional and a big mouth. I walked in and she's telling other people's business! She didn't have great knowledge and when I tried to get my bathroom fixed it was over a month. the windows are falling off the track, my tub lining was peeling off . They have garbage all on the smaller homes. Bugs in the stair wells they don't clean up and homeless people or people lookin for drugs walkin thru the fences at night! They harass you for parking on the lawn when numerous people do it. People's car all over in front of others homes during the day and at night. They pick and choose who to treat with respect. Young kids hanging at all hours. They need professionalism, cleanliness and organization. I will be leaving. The size is nice for what u pay for but the employment is a disgrace. You can tell they have the "just give me your rent attitude).
I love this apartment, very nice comfortable with added charm, very close to shopping, Highways and schools, devine and exceptional staff.. this is a place I love to call home
This complex is definitely perfect for someone on a budget. Its comfortably livable but its not luxury. Maintenance however is AWESOME and super sweet about timely repairs. The walls are super thin and I can always hear my neighbors, however i'am in the one bedroom, i'm sure the town homes are much better! The staff are very friendly and are always out to help you. If your moving out young and looking for friendly neighbors this definitely wouldn't be my first choice for you but if your young and on a budget and not concerned with your neighbors I certainly would recommend. The new dog park is a great addition unfortunately i'm not a fan of their pool it just always seems dirty to me, which is a downfall living in Florida. This place could definitely use a few renovations however I always have a smile on my face coming home every night so it does its job.
