Property Ratings at Shorewood Apartments
It's a good place. A little dated maybe. The gym is mediocre. The pools are very nice. I love the duck pond. The price is pretty good though. All in all, I would love to stay. Except for one thing. In nine months of living here, my neighbor was the victim of an attempted car theft, I had one motorcycle stolen and another attempted motorcycle theft of my replacement (I chased them away with a rifle), my neighbor had his window broken into, my roommate also had his car window smashed, and I chased away some tweaker dialing random numbers on the keypad trying to get in. There is no camera coverage or controlled parking lot access or any kind of security other than one of those roving patrols. Make no mistake. This is a GOOD apartment other than the insane theft problem. But the money you'll spend in replacing vehicles, windows, and possessions would be better spent on a safer place.
I love the amenities for what I pay. Actually worked far far away and stayed here. there is and indoor pool, outdoor pool, sauna, workout room, party room, pool tables, ping pong, library, ducks and a black swan (don't ask). Lastly, there is a bar/market/restaurant and elevator ride away. Need I say more.
Is it the newest? No, but for the money it has far and away more amenities than pricier living. The staff is friendly and available. Not needing to leave the building to take advantage of things like a pool, party room, or work out equipment is heaven. There is even a bar/restaurant an elevator ride away. Outside there is alway some drama with the local ducks and geese, but no worries just down the road within walking distance is a beach on the Columbia and access to the river walk.
I love living at Shorewood apartments. It's prefect for the summer. Right off highway 14 so you can head east or west in a heartbeat. Close to the river. Stays cool, because it's tucked on the hills by trees. AC units come in most if not all units.
