Property Ratings at Shorewood
Shorewood is a great community—amazing location and kind and considerate staff. The schools are also phenomenal, as is Mercer Island more generally.
Shorewood is a beautiful property that is secluded in a quiet neighborhood, yet still nearby to neighboring Seattle and Bellevue. It is ideal for someone who appreciates a peaceful neighborhood but also enjoys being close to the hustle and bustle of the city. More attention to amenities like the gym and the off leash dog area would elevate the resident experience even more. It's a shame to see how certain amenities have really gone down hill in the year and a half that we've lived here. I recognize these amenities are not common at most apartments, so it is very nice to have them. Just wish they were up kept a bit better. The staff are friendly and nice, but it is always hit or miss when bringing up a concern with them. They either address it quickly and adequately or completely disregard it. Would be nice if they were a bit more consistent across the board with this.
I feel so safe and at home here! This has become my favorite apartment I’ve ever lived in! The location is ideal, the facilities are nice, the neighborhood is cozy- what more could you ask for!

Shorewood apartments are conveniently located between Seattle and Bellevue. The neighborhood is quiet but you can easily drive to one of the nearest cities to eat out. The management at Shorewood has improved since I moved here 4 years ago and I appreciate that they’re looking for more ways to service their tenants. One thing they need to work on is answering their office phone.

My partner and I’s experience at Shorewood Apartments is still a pleasant residence! We love our apartment here. Great neighbourhood, but it could do with some improvement in maintenance of the public facilities and management.

Overall all great place to live. A few minor issues. Garabage disposal is broken frequently. Parking is a bit of a pain. But nothing more than minor inconveniences. Staff is great, friendly and responsive.

The Community is very calm, Clean, and overall nice to live in. The amenities provided by Shorewood are perfect. So many small things like the trash pick up make living here better.

It’s cute like Pleasantville, it’s centrally located between Bellevue and Seattle, it’s safe, the island is a great place to start over again & I couldn’t imagine leasing anywhere other than Shorewood.

Overall, my partner and I love the Shorewood property and everything that comes along with it. The amenities, atmosphere, floor layout for a 1BD and 1BR, and the location close to the I-90 bike trail and downtown area of Mercer Island. The leasing office is full of friendly and welcoming individuals that always address problems that my partner and I may have with our experience living at Shorewood. From emails to in person conversations, the team always has assisted us in resolving our APT issues. The parking can be a battle zone at time throughout the day with narrow and in particular lots very tight parking spots, but for free parking it’s something not too complain too much about. Amenities from the gym, accommodation room, outdoor trails surrounding the area are very nice to use. Especially the gym upstairs in the clubhouse for residents. My partner and I always feel safe and content about walking around anywhere both night and day. Door to door trash service is most of the time good, but at times can be a little absent by not being picked up in a couple days in a row especially with a $25 a month fee to add. One unique aspect of Shorewood my partner and I really do love and appreciate is Shane P’s weekly newsletter that is sent. It’s very well written with events going on throughout the island that could be your interest, additional things going on around the property from property fixings to common resident concerns. The end of the letters usually hold a poem at the end that we always look forward to. I really appreciate the news letters because it keeps me up to date with my living experience. Shorewood is a great little place to become a resident! Cozy, safe, and great atmosphere apartment that my partner and I will be hoping to stay another year!

Love this place. Great location and lovely apartments. The landscape is great for walking dogs, the neighbors are kind, and there is plenty of parking at the complex.
Besides the ants and the spiders it’s quite adorable here… I like the escape from the city and being surrounded by nature. Some of the amenities can use an upgrade and we can definitely use more community events but all in all the staff are amazing and the community is peaceful

I have lived at Shorewood for 20 years — and enjoy being a resident of this community.
Although we have only been here a short period of time, Shorewood has appeared to be a great community. There are always dogs walking around the circle and the big trees make the atmosphere more pleasant. We look forward to the rest of our time here.
Terrific support staff, beautiful well maintained property in buildings of character. Location works great for our family. No regrets or disappointments.
It’s been a smooth transition moving into this community. There are plenty of cozy neighborhoods to walk or run. Lots of food options nearby.
Shorewood is the perfect location for me. It’s close to Seattle and Bellevue. Since living here in 2020, property management has changed and there’s a more concerted effort to meet the needs of the residents.

The office was having internet and phone issues when we first arrived, so it made the process take a bit longer. But the staff was great, and were able to answer all of our questions.

shorewood is a great place to live, wonderful people, great location, great parking. so much quality. there was an issue that i won't mention but most everything from my time here was positive.
Great location. Great space. Getting mail and packages is a bit bonkers, but all in all a great community. Would recommend to anyone with a family or single person.

I've lived at Shorewood for a year now and love it. It is quiet and has a nice neighborhood feel to it. The staff are friendly and the maintenance crew are responsive. It is conveniently located to shops, the library, and other community resources. It is also very pet friendly. A great place to live!
If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful, but affordable apartment, this place is for you. We left downtown to find somewhere safer and affordable and got lucky to find this place and it’s everything we could ask for. Buildings are a little bit older but still so cozy. Looking forward to extending our stay.

Shorewood is a beautiful place to live, for the price aspect its priced lower than in neighboring towns like Bellevue and Seattle. I consider it as a haven in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the surrounding cities. I am leaving because we bought a house but if not I would stay here for sure. I work in downtown Bellevue and it takes me 15 min to and from work with traffic ??. I will surely miss the convenience of living in Mercer Island. I love it.

The location is amazing—near various parks and greenways, as well as a 15 minute drive to either Bellevue or downtown Seattle. And the community itself is surrounded by trees.

I have lived here for 4 years now. Love how beautiful the property is and Love my neighbors! One of the best things about my experience here living on the Island feels like a small community with a slower placed feel. Slower paced than busy and sometimes hectic Bellevue.
