The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Shrewsbury Commons
Location is great, the buildings and grounds themselves are decent, maintenance crew is absolutely phenomenal (when using the app to put in a request [due to a poor management team]). The management team is beyond horrific; to the point where it’s not worth looking to live here. Any maintenance involving new materials, management will cut corners and cheap out on. Management on every level from the bottom up is terrible. It’s certainly accurate to say any concern to appease existing tenants, even when it concerns the health and safety of tenants, is nonexistent by management. Communication is by far the worst I’ve experienced in any industry, let alone a service industry that affects people’s daily lives. To label this establishment “luxury apartments” is a stretch. “Luxury” would include good service which this place lacks severely. The office here is a complete joke as nobody is ever present and the hours always change. It’s apparent that 100% all of management’s resources and focus is on getting new tenants with absolutely zero interest in pleasing current tenants or maintaining good relationships. Once you’re in, you’re forgotten and they focus on getting the next person in. They will blatantly lie to you to get you out of their hair so they can focus on getting new customers. For example, they spent a great amount of resources and money to completely redo the landscaping, which was perfectly fine before, during a time when a multitude of tenants needed AC replacement during the height of summer heat. This resulted in people having heat strokes, going to the hospital, and yet they still didn’t do anything. I read all the reviews about how bad the management is here and knowingly disregarded them, figuring everything else was nice so I don’t need to worry about the management team. But I was so wrong as you do need good management when renting. There’s also some borderline false advertising that goes on to lead you to think you’re getting certain amenities, to find out later they are not what you expect or that you have to pay extra fees. Unless you’re ready to embark on a stressful journey of endless deceit, look somewhere else.

Thank you for taking the time to share this insight with us. We aim to offer our residents a great place to call home and we’re disappointed to read that you haven't gotten the best impression. We would appreciate the opportunity to provide you with a more pleasant experience in our community. Please stop by our office so we'll have a chance to discuss your feedback in better detail.
They act like you emailing/calling them with questions is a big inconvenience. They had broken appliance's, that they refused to fix until we threatened to not sign the lease, and we asked to be notified when the repairs were done and we were not notified until we decided to pull out. I would not recommend this place.
Property Manager at Shrewsbury Commons, Responded To This Review
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We apologize for the lack of communication you experienced from us. Please know this isn't our usual standard of service. We'd love to do what we can to turn things around for you, so if anything changes, please don't hesitate to reach out to us again in the future.
They don't treat people with minimum courtesy. They are too rude from day 1 we move in. I don't specially recommend it to people who have elderly parents or with small kids
This was the first place I have ever had on my own. I moved out of my parents basement and the property staff made my move simple and easy. They understood the fears of a first time renter and took the time to explain everything to me up front. When I moved in the apartment was immaculate, clean and with a brand new kitchen. The building is quiet and neighbors friendly. During the winter, the lots are cleared quickly and carefully. I have a job that I can not miss because of snow and the crews are always there to make sure that there is easy access. When I did have a problem with a leaking sink in my bathroom, I made a phone call and someone was out within the hour to have a look. He needed to go get an additional part and was back within an hour. My year lease is coming up soon and there is little doubt in my mind that I will be renewing with this property. I just hope to maybe get a 1 bedroom instead of my studio.
