Property Ratings at Sienna Lofts
Got lucky and had a corner apartment on a quiet side of the complex so noise isnt that big of an issue, my neighbors can be loud at times but nothing crazy during quiet hours. Parking is difficult, only one assigned space and the width of the spot is super tiny, so if you have two cars [like most households do] good luck trying to find guest parking, and forget about having guests over. Ive gotten scratches and dents on my car in no time bc of how small the parking spots are. As for management I get a pretty good response time on maintenance requests when I need it, and they keep the outside and inside of the complex super clean. Bug can be an issue considering the amount of trees and plants are around, and get used to the busy sound of traffic on Stark. Overall its been decent living here so far, probably cant find anything better unless I wanna break my wallet.
Unless you’re lucky enough to get one of the 2 floor loft units… I’d make a hard pass. This building far exceeds thin walls/structure. It’s not my first apartment but, it is the first one I’ve had where I can hear neighbours doing literally everything from pooping to snoring to talking on the phone to opening their fridges and everything in between. It’s incredibly crystal clear, even with my own TV or dishwasher etc running. The noise never stops. I’m listening to my neighbours talking right now and I can hear every word as though they are in my own apartment. There’s no heater in the bathroom, so it is always cold. The only dual plug in the large, cold bathroom is in a position by the sink that doesn’t allow to put a space heater in because of the proximity to the door and layout of the plumbing fixtures. All taps take a full 2 minutes just to get lukewarm water, and then suddenly go blazing hot. The shower only gets about 5 minutes of hot water. The washer/dryer combo is stuck in a back corner of the bathroom where the doors open up to where the folding door contracts, which makes it awkward. The apartment gets very cold from drafts instantly when the heater shuts off. The insulation is at a bare minimum at most. It’s nice to have a built in air conditioner, but it’s under a window, at the floor level in the bedroom. We all know that cold air doesn’t rise, so it makes no sense to purposely install there. Especially as there is a vent system for the heating. The layouts are also not a great use of the minimal available space. The kitchen drawers are half sized and barely fit anything in them, and the sink is barely deeper than my fist. The parking spaces are mostly pretty close together. There’s rarely guest parking as the neighbours use it for their extra vehicles. It’s a shame. Everything looks nice enough at first, and they’re good about keeping the hallways and exterior cleaned and looking maintained. But aesthetics don’t help to enjoy a space, they’re only there to suck you in to a contract on an incredibly subpar living experience. I can’t wait for my lease to be up so I can get out of this hole, and I’m considering just eating it and moving anyway.
I've lived here for about 7 months and it's a really good apartment complex. I have a loft and it's nice, spacious. The office is very responsive to issues both maintenance and other. For the most part there haven't been any real issues with other tenants, at least in my area. Noise can sometimes be an issue simply because as with most complexes, adequate noise protection between units doesn't have seemed to be a thought during construction. The utilities that are billed for are reasonable unlike some other complexes where it feels like they use them as an opportunity to gouge you. Being a smaller complex, there isn't much parking, so if you have multiple vehicles you'll end up parking across the street or if you're inconsiderate, you'll take up one of the limited guest spaces.
