It's a chill place to live. The apartment complex itself is spacious and the apartments/bedrooms have a good amount of space as well. I do wish the recycle was closer.

There are many great things about Signature! The rooms are fantastic, the staff are great, and maintenance is very quick. However, my only complaint is that the Wifi is spotty.

Y'ALL- I wanted to love this apartment complex, I really did. But, after living here for a few months, I'd advise anyone against it. 1. The fire alarms go off at random times, constantly. Doesn't matter if it's in the middle of the night, in the afternoon or during the morning- you'll be woken up out of your sleep, expected to exit the building and then wait while the building is cleared. This has happened multiple times. 2. The building is supposed to be impenetrable- individuals who don't live here shouldn't be able to get in. Yet, due to lackluster security, a man was able to sneak into the building, through the hallways and come to the door, where he beat it down three or so months ago with a fire extinguisher. Our door has yet to be replaced. 3. There is constantly construction that is happening, and often times loud, at night or early in the morning. Also, the workers often leave the doors propped open with various bits of material, and therefore anyone can enter. 4. The ground side doors are supposed to lock automatically are broken, meaning that anyone can get in. 5. There is no readily available number that you can use to contact security- you have to call and ask for it, which doesn't help in a time of need. While the staff has been fairly responsive when dealing with issues, it doesn't make much of a difference when fundamental safety measures are ignored. You can pay much less and get much more at other local apartment complexes near Raleigh/in the NCSU community.
Signature 1505 is in a fantastic location with beautiful amenities and nice apartments that have balconies. The apartments are brand new but fairly small for the price you are paying. The Maintenance Crew is wonderful, the Leasing Consultants are always polite and attentive- shoutout to Maayan, Emily, and TK for being excellent- and Shomari the Assistant Manager helped me out when needed . Overall, I enjoyed living there and wanted to re-lease. My experience with the re-leasing process is what made me give this property one star and pushed me away immediately. Destany, the Leasing Manager is the one who oversaw this whole process which I am about to describe. First, me and my friends re-signed for a D3 layout, which we were then told they overbooked that layout and we had to chose another. We were disappointed but decided to give it another shot and re-signed for a D2 layout WITH a balcony. We signed this lease in early March and thought we were set for upcoming year. May 30 rolls around and I get this email that my new lease is ready to sign. I read through it and saw that our balcony was NOT included. I call the property to see what happened and they said they couldn’t accommodate all our needs, so they had to put us in a room without a balcony. This was frustrating because there was no previous mentioning of our balcony being taken away beforehand. When we signed in March no one told us this could happen, and for nearly three months my friends and I received no email saying this happened because of this, we just were handed a brand new lease. I didn’t understand and was angry, so I decided to look living elsewhere. We found a new property to live at and then emailed Signature 1505 to tell them we would not be signing that new lease. They then stated I was bound to this new lease, even though it was a completely new lease that required a new signature, which is false. I said I’m not signing that lease and then they threatened me saying they would separate me from my friends that I originally signed with to put me in a room with a balcony thus fulfilling my original lease. Ultimately I got screwed and had to find a sublease for the next whole year. I wrote this to one- let you know my opinion, and two- to warn you about leasing here and fully understanding what you are getting into!
The worst management I have ever seen. We wanted the new complex but so wish that we had not made that decision now. The office personnel are rude and act as if you are an issue and they never have a solution for anything. Managers are useless and they do not provide resolution. Continually get emails asking for rent when it has been paid. Pay $90 per month extra for parking but on Saturday nights there is NO parking as ANYONE can park there and not have to pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maintenance leaves snarky responses acting as if the residents are clueless and do not provide a proper fix.
Promising at first, but turns sour fast. The office takes at least 20 calls to finally get someone to pick up and when they do finally pick up, you get a rude student worker who can’t answer any questions. Each worker has a contradictory response. The managers are never available when they need to refer to them. They almost never call back and ignore most emails. Rent checks did not even reflect on the account for over a month with no confirmation except “We have a bunch of checks here, so it’s probably been received.” On the bright side, place looks nice and Ikea-quality furniture is functional. The bedrooms are much smaller than they appear to be online. Apart from the hype and free swag which is just tees and food, it doesn’t seem to be worth the price.
