Property Ratings at Silos South End
my only complaints are related to other residents not taking care of their pets, it's so sad that there is dog pee in the stairwells and people don't utilize the many bag stations and garbage containers all around. The staff is wonderful and I know this is not their fault.
We have had a wonderful experience living at The Silos! We appreciate the cleanliness of other residents when it comes to common areas, how clean the staff keeps the amenities, and the variety of amenities that are offered
In the past, and currently, I continue to recommend this apartment community to friends. I have had friends sign leases with Silos and others tour the facility. I believe Silos has a unique blend of community and location.
Every staff memeber has been fantastic. Everytime i go into the office for anything my expectations are exceeded. Everyone is soo helpful and nice.
The excellent responsiveness and quality of the maintenance staff here is one of the first things I mention to people when I talk about what I like about living here.
This apartment is great for everyday needs and a roof over your head. It is pretty outdated and things within the apartment should be updated.
My car was stolen from the parking lot and neighbors car broken into. Also the carpet was pretty gross. Should definitely consider switching to wood flooring.
It's a great place to live if you want to be around South End and the hub of the city.
Best layout and price in the area, responsive and supportive team. We're a little nervous about the living room layout and how loud the community will be.
Great location, nice layouts, fair price
It' a great complex, the staff is super friendly and the amenities are very nice.
Great office staff. Only complaint is the car robbing and the kids holding the girl at gun point outside the apartment
Great location, good condition of apartments
I would highly recommend Silos for anyone looking for an apartment community. I was over multi-family living and wanted more space for myself. It was time for me to buy though I will miss the amazing people in the leasing office (you both are great and you have a fabulous team @Jessica & @Courtney!) and that awesome pool this summer!
Cleanliness, Peaceful and Friendly Community
I am loving the community so far! Very friendly and respectful
Wonderful location, amenities, living space
I would not recommend this apartment due to the thin walls and ceilings. The neighbor noise is the worst I have heard in an apartment building- and these people are not being overly loud.
Lovely community and a good sense of community among the residents.
Only complaints are the car break ins and really loud people on the sidewalk at night but that' part of city life and hard to control. Staff is great and I know things will always be fixed or taken care of.
All of the amenities are very well maintained and cleaned almost daily
I have really enjoyed living here and love the area.
Great location and a fun community
yes
I would recommend this apartment community because of the wonderful office staff, great location, and the beautiful apartment homes + amenities.
From the beginning it was very easy to work with everyone in the office. All emails were returned promptly and there were never any issues regarding rent or payments.
Silos has a strong community and location, as it is located near Uptown, the light rail, and several breweries. Additionally the Silos staff is professional and friendly with its residents. Importantly, there are several weekly resident activities which are important and have caused me to recommend the apartment to other people.
Outdated/cheap appliances, Cheap paint, and great for new leasees but not great when re-leasing
A lot of parties happen in our building, so any resident needs to be prepared. Additionally, it took a full month to get the internet working. Spectrum sent me off with incorrect equipment and had about 5 ling phone conversations to finally get it working and 2 trips to the retail store for correct equipment. A month is a long time to be without internet in my home!
Convenient location, feeling of safety, the pool/ breakfast are all great reasons!
Great value for the location, appearance and amenities within the community.
Would not- getting louder and louder. Parking for guests getting very difficult.
Would because it's a cool place to live. Would not because my fob is not working and it's taking over a month to sort it out.
Great location in Charlotte, and not a bad commute to work.
I do like it here but it is not as nice as some of the newer apartments. The price is a little bit high for what you get
As a pet owner, I value the “pet friendly” amenities. The staff and maintenance have always been professional, friendly and timely. This will be my third year as a Silo resident.
The units are not well maintained. Required charges for water, valet trash and cable. No customer service. The community grounds are not kept up; bad emergency lighting and parking lot lights, trash and bad odors, stained carpets In building common areas. The elevators smell like urine and not serviced. The amenities do not function and are out dated. Parking is big a problem.
Property Manager at Silos South End, Responded To This Review
We’re sorry you had a bad experience. Please feel free to reach out to to us directly at social@simpsonhousing.com. We’d love the opportunity to help in any way we can.
The apartment is super cute, but the walls are ridiculously thin and I can hear my neighbors having sex every night. Many apartments in south end provide breakfast for residents, but ours that used to be good is now disgusting
Great location and friendly, helpful staff. The only downside is that the amenities and appliances are not as new or large as some of the competing communities in the area. Instituting a limit at guests at the pool per household is nice, but the paid security guard enforcing the rules is wearing a bullet proof vest. Can give off the appearance that the community is not safe or secure when in reality i usually felt very safe.
Located in a great spot, and seems like a great community to be a part of
Everything's great. I wish the gym was a little larger or included a free bar rack instead of a smithing machine. Overall the price I'm paying is due to limited availability of units at the time of signing. I really wish I could knock this price down a few hundred and comprise with a smaller unit to continue renting from here.
townhouse is great, not sure I'd recommend within the apartment blocks. neighborhood is getting noisy & overcrowded, lack of guest parking becomes an issue
It's nice, good price compared to most of the other apartments in south end for what you are paying for, and I am here so it would be fun to live with more of my friends.
I have told many friends about how amazing my experience has been and how highly I recommend this community.
Great location, love the community feel of the green spaces between the buildings.
Community was well kept and quiet and staff was very friendly and helpful
24 hour concierge is something I would definitely look for/recommend to someone looking for a new apartment.
Sonny was awesome, he came right in, had the list of things he was going to work on and got to work right away. He knew exactly what to do to fix the issue with our doors and quickly handled the other items as well. I was very impressed when we offered a one-time, easy fix for our missing shade cover and he insisted that we should get a new cover because "it's the principle." I've never worked with a maintenance worker before who would rather do it right over easy. He was also very friendly and courteous.
Everything about living in this community has been excellent. There only difficulty has been with valet trash not being picked up from Friday to Sunday.
Very hard to find parking - we were promised a parking spot, but the lot always fills up prior to 10 PM so I have to end up parking on the street or far away Maintenance issues - we've had an issue with a washer that took over a month to fix, and had to pay for an external laundry service (with no response from the leasing office telling us if they had even received our maintenance request)
