Property Ratings at Silver Oak Apartments
I’m in love with all of the new renovations. Outside and inside look amazing . The new management company has a fan. In me. The manager is whipping this place into shape
Even though it says that they have updated their website just 2 weeks ago, the apartments are actually under construction and none of the listed available units are accurate. Complete waste of my time this morning.
The new management company, TWG Development, is exceptional! They are real and treat you as such while still maintaining a professional attitude. I highly recommend contacting Aushiana, the new property manager, if you are interested in moving here. They have amazing plans for this place!
It's cheap and they charge you about an extra 130.00 for the gas and water which is included in the rent. Pot holes throughout the neighborhood, trash everywhere, wild cats everywhere. ROACHES, ROACHES, ROACHES! I clean and bleach my place every week, I spray pesticide every month and treat my carpet with boric acid. But these roaches keep finding ways into my apartment!!! This method has decreased the amount of roaches from the amount I seen when I first moved in so now I see like 1 or 2 a month but that's still ridiculous. My A/C went down 4 times since I've been there, I had to go to the leasing office to figure out why it has not been fixed and getting into a verbal altercation with a maintenance guy in the middle of the leasing office for them to even come to my apartment! And the A/C still did not get all the way fixed! Since that incident, management has changed three different times... but I feel as though the current leasing agents they have now are more friendly and more professional. I went on vacation and came back to water stains on my roof. They just paint over the tubs, so that begins to peel and turn brown after awhile. And the pictures posted on here... I don't know what apartment complex it is, but my 1bdroom loft looks nothing like that. The neighborhood is quiet, I haven't had any problems with neighbors... but the walls are thin you can hear when people run down their stairs lol.
silver oak apt has been great since the new staff has changed I have been here since for 2 years and this is the best staff since I moved here so thank you so much and keep up the good job...
I definitely would not recommend this place. The pictures definitely make this place look better then what it is . Bugs all over the apartments and they do nothing about it . Ive complained about pest issues from the second day i moved in and 4 months later it’s only gotten worse after all these pest control ‘visits’. Almost wish i never signed this lease because now i have to deal with this until the lease is up. You can’t even bring family or guest over since that’s how bad this issue is. I’ve seen the management office staff changed At least 3 times over the past 4 months . You complain about issues but they do NOTHING about it. But I’m sure if i didn’t pay my rent after the 5th of the month, they’d be knocking at my door. DONT DO IT! Don’t even wanna give one full star!
DONT DO IT!!! Lived here for two years. Moved in with the thought of saving money to put towards a house. Between having stuff stolen and the million fees they impose on you when you try to leave we saved zero, and honestly had we even saved looking back at it’s not worth the lifestyle you have to put up with. So what makes this place so bad. Constant pest issues and I’m talking roaches, like big ones too, everywhere. Despite having routine fumigation by the complex it wasn’t till we had our own guy come out that they really stopped. Maintenance.... lol that’s funny, because there is none. We honestly had issues all around the apartment that were never fixed despite us reporting them constantly all two years. Dishwasher broken, broken drawers, kitchen cabinets don’t close because they just get painted over anytime someone moves out as opposed to cleaning them, bathroom door falling down (literally), doors not locking or closing properly due to being installed improperly, power sockets not functioning.... I mean I honestly could go on but you get the point. Safety... constantly heard gun shots in the middle of the night, both me and my husbands cars were broke. Into on several occasions, our house was broken into twice. Honestly people, not worth it. I know probably cheaper than that other apartment you really liked, and even if they try to sell you the were under new management bit, still NOT worth it. Pay the extra money, you’ll have a better lifestyle and peace of mind.
Current tenant with serious issues with management of property. 1st we moves into this dirty unit with brand new EVERYTHING. APARTMENT WAS NOT READY FOR MOVE IN ; BLINDS MISSING, CURTAIN BLINDS MISSING FOR FRONT LIVING ROOM and STOVE TOP DID NOT WORK PROPERLY. Later around august of 2017,we discovered my infant baby bed and our brand new kind size bes and carpet infested with bedbugs that we contacted property about and they never treated. Moving into this complex was the worst. My husband car was stolen outside of the building and so was my neighbors car. This complex has security but I don't think he does his job after 5. The pool area sucks and then playground is always muddy days after rain (no fun for kids) in site laundry mat is trash and to be honest I've handwashed my underwear better than silvers oak laundry mat. Looking to move into the city of clakston search just 5 more minutes TRUST ME . Brockett Rd have many complex apartments silver oaks is the nastiest
There was a promotion this past October that stated that if you applied before October 31st you'll receive $250 off your next two months rent. Well I applied on October 26th and they didn't process my application until November 1st and had the audacity to tell me that they may not be honoring the promotion. Then turned around and asked me for a $500 deposit when I have a credit score of "727". When I say shady and dishonest?! I would never want to business with an establishment who can't keep there end of the bargain. This here people is a RED FLAG! A WARNING! Continue at your own risk....
My daughter moved into a townhouse about a year ago due to a job change so her move was very quick. We didn't get a chance to see an actual townhouse before the move so the modern flat we toured was nothing like what she got. Hers had previous water damage & continued to have problems. Sagging ceilings w/water damage (kitchen/laundry) water accumulating in kitchen cabinets, wet carpet. Roaches, sagging old cabinets, leaking toilets. Response time to issues slow. Wish I could show you the pictures. Make sure you see the unit you rent. She's out of there thank God!!! Rent at your own risk!! This review will probably never see the light of day cause the truth hurts!
They apartment is good but their management is so bad specially maintance so bad and employe who is work for front doesn't know nothing I mean he has long hair.
I cannot express enough how unorganized the staff in the leasing office is. After sending in $100 to hold an apartment, as requested by the leasing office, they informed me days later that they didn't even have an apartment available to lease for my selected move in date. I have been put on hold for over 20 minutes only to be hung up on and then have my calls not answered when I try calling back. I was misinformed on what documents were required since I live out of state. I called in to see if my application was looked at and further processed and was told that I needed documents that I was told I did not need. In a nutshell, I felt misled and disrespected. If this is how they run business then I'm glad to not be living there. Honestly, did not want to give this any stars.
Property Manager at Silver Oak Apartments, Responded To This Review
I apologize for the miscommunication, please contact the office if the matter has not been resolved as of yet.
Garbage compactor always nasty, roaches on this property is so out of control.this property is in need of some serious pesticides spraying on a daily basis.??
I moved in October 2015. I was told to come look at the unit before moving in and when I came it wasn't ready. On the actual move in date I wasn't allowed to move into the unit that was assigned to me. I got a seemingly better unit(I couldn't compare because I never saw the initial unit). Despite the size of the living room I made the best of the space that I have. My only true complaint is that when something is broken or missing it seems like forever just to get someone to look at it. There are 2 Maintenance men (Mike and Harrison) that have consistently helped me as much as they can. My living room floor continues to flood (for no apparent reason), knobs are still missing from the kitchen cabinets, the toilet in the half bathroom still runs all day and night, there is still no screen for the patio, the space around my door still allows rain and critters in, I still pay my rent on time and I still get the cold shoulder when I speak to the Leasing Agent (the female). Bottom line is if I didn't have to deal with it I wouldn't. But for the time being this is what I can afford. Which may be the case for several tenants, hence the lack of urgency when it comes to repairs or concerns from the staff. If you simply need somewhere to stay this will do. But if you can afford more you should so that you won't be disappointed.
I moved in Dec,31,2015 And was told that the problems With my loft would be fixed"To many to name" It is now Feb,20,2016 And nothing has been done It's trash always out by the trash can And big rats.... And when I moved here The roaches where HORRIBLE & I COULDN'T SLEEP.... I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY LEASE TO BE OVER ....BUT I WILL BE PUTTING MY MONEY IN escrow till everything is fixed...OR THEY LET ME OUT OF THE LEASE
I moved in here a year ago and I've been begging these people for the whole time about the fridge is leaking, the stove top burners are not the right ones, don't have dryer hook up and they keep giving excuses after excuses. Maintenance comes in looks and leaves without saying anything. I asked one of the managers why can't they just replace the stove and fridge ? she told me it's not as easy as that. So right now I am working on Rent withholding the legal way..
Silver oak is my first apartment ever. Definitely a great starter. The people in the neighborhood and staff are friendly. Although I do feel like maintenance can be done a little faster. All together it is a great start up community. I feel safe and my space is clean. And that is all that really matters.
i been living in silver oaks for almost a year the area is great if you asked me.i love that marta is right there if needed, you also have a plaza that is walking distance.the trail is near if your a walker or runner and most of all the police is always there whenever you may need them
Very good place for a family. Townhouses are very spacious. Located next to stores and the metro transit system.
I been A resident of Silver Oaks almost a year and I love living here...its quiet and peaceful and if anything goes wrong in your Apartment they always on time to fix it.. I going to sign another year here.. Thanks Silver Oaks for making it really feel like home with all the friendly staffs and friendly neighbors
I moved to Silver Oak in a pinch. I was going through a separation and needed an affordable place to move to. Silver Oak fit the bill. The apartments have nice layouts. My unit is a one bedroom, two story loft/townhouse style. The people in the leasing office are nothing but nice and always friendly. Maintenance staff is friendly and very prompt. I love my neighbors. The only reason I give the place a one star is because of safety. And that's a huge issue. Gunshots are commonplace here. One night several rounds were fired off right outside my window. I found a bullet casing on my door mat another time. I even witnessed a drive by ... thankfully no one was shot. My AC unit (as well those for 2 of my neighboring units) were stolen in the middle of the summer. Fortunately maintenance replaced them the next day. I won't be renewing my lease at the end of my term. I value safety above all else so this is a real concern.
After living in homes for over 20 years I decided to down-size because I'd become an empty-nester. I was impressed with the decor and furnishings in the leasing office, and was very happy with the model. However, on move-in day I was taken to an apartment that looked like something out of the 70's. A wood-panel wall? Really? And my furniture didn't fit, even though I was told the 2BR/2.5B TH was larger and more spacious than the 2BR/2B flat that is the model they show. Mold spores are coming up through the carpet and the sink in the 1/2 bath was so rotted underneath that my hand went through it while cleaning it one day. Needless to say I'm almost done with my lease and will be trying to find another apartment to move to that I can truly call home. Repeated requests to the leasing office and PEM Property Management did not resolve 1/3 of the issues I was having when I first moved in and after a few months I just stopped complaining and decided to endure. I now remember why I had said to my child all these years that I would never move back into an apartment.....
A first glance I thought these were nice apartments but upon moving in I realized they weren't. Very first night there were dead bugs in our refrigerator and nests in the closet completely gross. Kitchen cabinets we're torn. We of course called about the fridge and it took 2 weeks for someone to come clean it but bugs returned and it took months to replace the whole thing. We were just charged an enormously outrageous fee for a dog we never had and I tried talking to the rent office and without curse words she basically cursed me out! I feel they are money hungry and do not feel the contract goes both ways. Pest control it a joke. I always ask for pest control but I've come to realize it's pointless no one ever comes ! I wait months on top of months getting excuse after excuse then I just had to call a professional because the problem is getting out of hand. I do not recommend please go far far away from here my lease isn't up till the end of the year and I'm already searching !
I like my rental team, and the maintenance crew. Everyone is very nice and personable. However, after 3-months I have yet to have screens put into my apartment and my bathroom sink still leaks. My my patio has not been repaired to make more safe and stable, and I can't use it because of the constant barrage of pine cones from the tree over hanging it. Besides those cosmetic things the neighbors are nice and the area is quiet. I wish the rent was a bit cheaper, but overall I like it.
