The worst complex I have ever been at. Has several armed robberies on the premises and management will not allow security cameras nor will they fix the gates. Management walked in with any notice while my underage daughter was home without notice or valid reason
It is February 2023 and we have a NEW "awesome" management team! It is true about some bad reviews in the past decade with past management, but we finally have a "wonderful management here" Everything is so much better! You really should try living here! Its location is great! I want to mention a management member that stands out to me because she went over and beyond to help me in a difficult situation. Her name is Janette M. She has strong communication skills, and she has the ability to formulate strategies and implement those strategies by examining multiple aspects of Crossings at Silver Oak Apartments. This is a great place to live!

This is by far the worst apartment complex I’ve lived at. The A/C constantly goes out and maintenance takes forever to fix it in this HOT weather. The management and front office are very rude and they don’t care about anyone that lives at that apartment complex. And the mailboxes are constantly being broken into and they are doing absolutely nothing to fix them. The post office is literally sending all the mail that people need back because the apartment complexes management can’t get there act together. If you are looking for a new apartment complex to live at, this is definitely not the one. It is a nightmare.

I have been living within my apartment at Silver Oaks since January of this year and to say I am not happy is an understatement. I experienced a severe leak within my apartments bathroom and kitchen and it took them several days after frequent calls for them to send maintenance. Some of the apartments have CARPET in the bathroom so heads up for that. When the leak occurred in the bathroom, it stained the carpet and I have been trying to get them to fix it going on two months now because they have yet to respond to my emails and work order requests. At night you can hear, what sounds like rodents, running in the walls as well. The complex has "gated access" but because the leasing office is beyond the gates, they are left open majority of the day. There are two gate entry ways and most of the nights, even if one side is closed the others are left open completely. Do not get me started about when the storm that hit! There was literally no communication with the tenants at all about the boil water notice or things of that nature. Overall, I would not recommend this apartment to anyone.

I moved out on the last day of my lease. Which was on a Sat. They're closed on the weekend, so I turn in the keys on the next business day. They decided to keep my deposit. Completely against the contract. Central office don't answer so you're on your own. The attorney general's office will contact them.

Have has apartment broken into twice Toilet backed up for about three months as well as garbage disposal not working and full of water. No air conditioning as well. Was given a window unit and then picked up by the property manager to give to someone else. Pushed me and broke my phone. I am a woman and still he forced himself in. Sink in bathroom also not draining and no smoke detectors what so ever in my apartment unit. All problems have been reported to management and still after three months nothing has been done. Cristina was flat out rude over the phone very careless attitude. When asked about all these bad reviews she denied them and said no one has been complaining but there’s many many poor reviews recently in 2020 ?? Haven’t even been to location and was already treated bad. Don’t recommend

The office staff either don't know what is going on, or they are just rude. The AC units are very old and the installation in the apartments have never been changed out no matter how many times you put in a work order. The apartments are falling apart. Walls are cracking. People's tires are constantly being stolen, random CHICKENS are always roaming around, mailboxes are constantly breaking, the list goes on, but unless you want to live in a constant 80-85 degrees during SUMMER or want your problems to be ignored than I suggest living here.

maintenance team here does nothing but bandaid fixes and if they can get away with breaking one thing to fix the reason they came they will o they can leave. also they lie on the open/close sign so they can fee people on rent day

I gave had no a/c for the past 5 days, put in 3 maintenance tickets, apartment won't offer any discounts on rent for them not doing there job, staff is very unwilling to work or even care about your issues.

My son and daughter in law live here with my two grandkids. They have had issue after issue at these apartments. From the a/c unit not working for two months to roaches in the apartment. They submitted several service requests and nothing ever gets done. If it wasn’t for my son paying for someone to check the a/c unit they still probably would have this issue. They asked if they could have some kind of credit for the amount they paid for the unit to be serviced and the office declined them the request. One of the showers was without hot water for about 6 months, luckily they had a second shower. They called the office numerous times about the roaches and nothing has been done. But yet the office is so quick to collect and charge all kind of fees. I’ve been a property manager for 8 years and I could never not service or ignore issues like these. There is a waiting process due to having parts ordered or so forth but nothing like this. I urge you to look else where DO NOT STOP TO RENT HERE... TURN AWAY.

One word.....roaches!! We moved in here with our newborn baby and she has had a roach crawl on her head in her crib!! We keep the apartment very clean and never leave any food out. We’ve had apt exterminated but there is always at least a few here and there we see. At least one a day. The really tiny baby ones got into our bread. I’ve seen one in the dishwasher and our microwave. I can go on but it’s not a place I would recommend to anyone. The staff has improved and is really nice but the roaches, even if there’s not an infestation, is still too much for us especially with a baby.
I wish I had read the reviews and paid attention. It's not a coincidence that every bad review has had the same issues. I have had every type of issue with this apartments and I have only been here for 4 months. Currently now I am struggling with noise complaints from upstairs and the office wont help us out. They will just tell you to call the non emergency number. We have about 3 noise makers is every room to keep my kids from being woken up at night. We can't hang up stuff on the walls because it will fall down from all the stomping. The pop corn ceiling falls down also due to them making so much noise. I have had issues from toilet leaking and ruining all of our stuff, water leak from the ceiling, roaches, not being able to get a handicap parking, waiting 4 months for a mail key. Keep in mind the front office will take forever to fix your problems or they just wont call you or email you. I have tried to speak with the main manager by email and phone and in person but she ignores us and avoids us. Till this day have not heard from her and my issues started on day 3 of moving in
Your AC will break and you will not get immediate service or a window unit to make the place habitable. You will have to park around the corner if you're in buildings 5-12 Manager WILL hang up on you if you try to get actual answers instead of an excuse. My AC has been out 7% of the time I have lived there twice it has broken in 2 months. Better hope it doesn't go out on a Friday before a 3 day holiday weekend or you're buying a window unit because they will not provide one. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere
There are a lot of reasons why this place is so reasonably priced. You get what you pay for. They only care about ways to lure new tenants in and have no regard for the living conditions of the current ones. Most repairs take weeks to months to happen and require multiple visits. There’s a lot of crime in the complex including overt drug use/buying/selling. The security gates rarely work, so the complex is wide open all day/night and is poorly lit at night. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for another complex that’s safer, cleaner and more efficiently run.
Have lived here for 3 years. The rent is cheap, but you get what you pay for. You will go days with no hot water, days with no ac, and any little repair will take them over a week to get to. The leasing office does not care about you or your comfort, just that you pay them your money. They implemented changes to their office hours with no notification. It caused a lot of people to be late on rent, and no accommodations were made everybody had to pay the late fee. They will shut your water off and then hang a note on your door after it’s shut off telling you they’re gonna shut it off. Live anywhere else in the city, as soon as my lease is up I’m out.
The first day I brought the move the grocery of jessy told me before signing a contract that I would live on the first floor when I arrived that day I find that my apartment was on the second floor I go and I complained and he told me a trickster on my face that I had to remind her because she had many things to do as if it was my job to remind her of things. However I tell him that I have three dogs before moving the day of the contract that was in English and I do not understand letting me take his word because I did not read English I said things about the contract for myself, believing that this was what the firm said. contract when the part of the animals arrives I tell her I have three dogs which she tells me is true that you have dogs she never charges me the cost of the animals now she wants to charge me $ 800 for two more dogs they are even forcing me to abandon one of they because they only accepted two when I told her I had three and she told me not to pay for the third one is free! Again she made me look like a liar saying that she did not tell me that is very grocery. Apart today I just saw a cockroach in my bathroom and I've only been living here for two weeks here the stairs are very dirty they show you the model apartment but they never take you to the one you will be living and when you arrive you find yourself with the stairs and the area. As you can lie so much to attract people now I have to give one of my puppies for that jessy liar. My refrigerator did not work from the first day I moved, but one lady asked me what the apartments were like. I told her about my bad experience which the lady went and told her and Martha well grocer claimed me what I said !!! This site is terrible they are disrespectful and they are both fakers after writing this they will have reprisals against me and they made me feel that if I talked they would throw me out of here I walk with my hands crossed just for not knowing how to read English and fill a contract that I did not understand I'm super in depreciation of having to take out my puppy but up there is a God who sees everything !!! I only ask you to do justice for us who do not know how we defend in this country ... DO NOT MUDEN, YOU ARE GOING TO REPENT, I SWEAR IT.
The staff was nice. Jesenia the leasing agent that was working with me was amazing! She worked with me to get the apartment and floor that I wanted. The follow up time was great she gave me a call as soon as I was excepted. Everything went really fast, I had no problems on my move in date. It really was all I could of asked for in my situation. Roach Oaks Apartments is what this needs to be called. Have a hole behind my fridge that never has been fixed despite 4 maintenance requests (all magically closed despite no repairs) and 5 in office complaints and they had the nerve to tell me to put in an online request. Worst office employees. Not trained. New folks every few months. Rude. Holistic maintenance. Don’t fix anything. Pools are always stagnant and opaque. Old wood. Bad carpets that aren’t replaced upon move in. I know for a fact mine wasn’t. Horrible parking near Ingram side. Rate increased b/c of “competition” across the street, the new plot on Mabe/Ingram. It’s not competition at all. STAY AWAY! Not worth the price.
Infested with Roaches, apartment is not cleaned when you move in!!! Leak after leak, Ac unit does not work correctly so it's hot as he'll in this apartment. Put in work order after work order nothing gets done! Maintenance guys don't do nothing they are lazy and pretend they did something to fix issues but goes right back to the way it was the next day. Managment is horrible!!! You can never talk to the manager. .. DO NOT MOVE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO COME HOME STRESSED ALL THE TIME DUE TO ALL THE ISSUES IN THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX. SLIVER OAKS IS THE WORST APARTMENT COMPLEX EVER!!!
This was my fiancé’s first ever apartment and everyone in the office was very nice when we first moved in but once we started having problems with our AC it was nothing but rude service. Every time we would go pay rent or ask questions they would say “oh we’re closed can’t help you right now” when they were fully staffed in the middle of the afternoon during business hours. During the holiday time we would have packages delivered and one of the employees opened my package “cause it sounded suspicious” it was a video game! After we moved out we discovered that the employees and office management create fake positive reviews on websites like this to boost appearances. Only good thing is the prices. Not saying move in here just be careful
Our scheduled move in date changed several time and we were not allowed to view the apartment ahead of time. On our move in day, we picked up our keys and to our surprise our 2 bed/ 1 bath was a Studio. They did not have anything available until a month later, and we are now paying $30 more for an additional electrical hookup (for a washer and dryer we do not own). Also the A/C has never worked, even though maintenance has made half a dozen trips over, plus one contractor. We have to run window units since they cannot seem to fix it.
They are more worried about getting you into an apartment and once you are in, their customer service goes out the window. You get the run around for everything, nothing ever gets fixed. If you need something nobody can help you except the manager and the manager is NEVER in the office and has more "emergencies" than anything. The assistant manager doesnt do anything or cant do anything. The point of an assistant manager is to be able to take over for the manager if they arent there. But that doesnt happen!!! Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

I absolutely can not believe that I have allowed myself to live here this long. When I moved in my ac was broken. It took over 4 months to get it replaced. A few months later, a cockroach infestation took hold of the entire apartment and the apartments refused to let me switch units and said that the only thing they could do was have exterminators come in on Tuesday's. 5 Tuesday's later, having not been able to stay in the apartment, I finally decided to spend more of my money and take matters into my own hands. Even now I am dealing with the filth of the infestation. This place constantly has pluming issues, theft, mailing issues, and wild animals running around all over the place. No place is a good enough bargain to live like this. PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!!
I'm far from high maintenance, but this place needs some standards checked. For the last month I've gone without a working toilet and a sparking stove that has one working burner. Work orders have been placed with no contact from the front desk or maintenance. Roaches appear daily and nightly. Im petty sure my neighbor is a pot dealer or never stops smoking as I come home EVERY day to a marijuana scented apartment. Honestly, look else where. Ive filed a complaint with all the items listed above and STILL have heard nothing back. The front desk has one decent person while the rest seem to be there to fill a seat. This month has been a serious wake up call, I have 11 more to go.
The review right under this one pretty much took the words out of my mouth, you definitely get what you pay for. The only thing that this place had going for it was that it was "safe enough" for the price. That's not even the case anymore seeing that there was a drive by a couple weeks ago and then we get a notice saying someone in this apartment has been shot. I'm not even sure if that was the drive by I heard or a different incident. The staff, is a hit or miss. You either get the really nice one, the chola who just stares at you when you walk in saying nothing, and another one who is so-so. Dont hold your breathe on maintenance service requests. They "take them in the order they are received." They must get a hundred orders a day then because they'll take about a week to finally fix it. And pretty much nothing is an emergency request to them. NOTHING. I'm not picky, I just want to be safe (with all 3 gates open all day and night.. probably not the safest) and for my kitchen/bathroom appliances to be fixed within 48 hrs. If that's not even possible, at least be nice to me.. the resident! Once you sign that lease, customer service goes flying out the door. Can't wait to get out of here. The only good thing I can say is that the location is pretty convenient.
Good location, walking distance from the mall, restaurants and banks. Rent is affordable, I pay 590 for a one bedroom with a fireplace (700 sq ft) but management is slow and the apartments are old. The wood on most bathroom units has water damage, A/C goes out often, the water randomly stops in the building and pest control slacks (lots of random spiders and roaches). If you put in a work order management will not let you know when they'll fix it, they just put in the order and when it's done it's done. They have three pools, one is mostly for kids, and the other ones are pretty clean the only downside is that they lock the gates for no reason sometimes. The only thing I love about this place is that it's pet friendly. :) To be honest, if you take a tour, you'll like the place, but it's not the same when you actually live here.
looks are decieving. i love where my apartment is located. not to far from the mall or resturants. everything if with in a two mile radius. i love my apartment and where it is located.
Have been living here for a year and I must say this is the worst place you can live at. Honestly the staff and management make it bad! They are so unprofessional and you have to talk to 4-5 different people to get something done and forget asking for manager they well just give you the run around. No one at office knows anything, they have to make calls to get answers. It's just ridiculous!! You have a better chance of taken care of your own problem. I can not wait till my lease is up. PLEASE HIRE BETTER STAFF TO RUN THE PROPERTY!!!
I have had the worst experience I have had in my life with customer service or even just people in general at Silver Oaks Apartments with management. I have lived at these apartments for almost a year next month and will not be renewing my lease. From the day of move in I literally have had issues. I am a good renter I have never been late and have rented with many apartments and property management companies. I have never been treated so poorly or had the kind of issues I have had at Silver Oaks with there staff and management. I would NOT recommend these apartments.
The support staff and the admin staff don't know how to provide customer service. I had an apartment booked and a move in date provided. I called for my apt# and I was asked same questions by two different ppl for FOUR times after keeping the phone on hold for almost 15 minutes. So I went to the leasing office and when asked, they gave me differnt apt plan than what I chose. The management is very poor.

Save yourself problems and headaches and stay away from this place. Maintenance is horrible. It took three months to get my dishwasher fixed and before that several weeks to get minor plumbing problems taken care off. The manager is never available and doesn't replies to emails or calls. My AC has been broken for days and no one has stop to work on it.
