Regarded as a vibrant college town with a small-town atmosphere, Grand Forks sits in the Red River Valley, sharing its eastern border with the North Dakota-Minnesota state line. Grand Forks is home to the University of North Dakota, the largest college campus in the state, as well as an Air Force Base. As a result, many residents enjoy easy commutes in North Dakota’s third-largest city.
In addition to the many restaurants, cafes, shops, and bars of its thriving downtown area, Grand Forks also offers a laidback pace in its many idyllic neighborhoods. Residents bask in the outdoors at Grand Forks’ many scenic parks and on the lush Greenway Trail that runs along the Red River.
Grand Forks also contains the state’s largest indoor waterpark, Splasher’s of the South Seas, touting a variety of slides, activity pools, a lazy river, kiddies play area, and a hot tub for adults.

Property Ratings at Silver Waters
Silver Waters has been nothing but fantastic for myself and my Family, very clean & quiet with great tenants. We have used the meeting rooms to have Family over for Christmas and other functions. Family have stayed in there guest rooms which were very clean and comforting. Management was second to none, very respectful and accommodating. I would rate this place a 5 plus.
When I first moved here, I thought it was a decent place to live, but the management is dishonest and the maintenance is lackluster at best. The apartment I moved into was new, but hadn't been rented since the place was built 2 years prior, so there was dust and dirt everywhere. The fake wood floors had been scratched by the construction workers, and the fake stainless steel appliances looked like they were from the scratch-n-dent store. The leasing manager, Tina, assured me everything would be cleaned before my move-in, but this never happened, so I ended up spending countless hours cleaning and shampooing carpets to even make it liveable. This place was the only one I could find offering short-term leases at the time, so my options were rather limited. While the prices continue to rise, the service continues to be very poor. If you enjoy walking down the hall to your apartment and stepping in dog poop, not being able to get your car out of the underground parking for over a week because they can't bother to fix the garage door, wondering if you are going to be electrocuted in the elevator every time it rains because of a water leak they refuse to repair, not be able to see out your windows because they are too cheap to have them cleaned at least once a year, enjoy walking into your apartment to find a creepy man in your bedroom because they couldn't bother to let you know maintenance was going to be in your apartment, send countless maintenance requests and wait weeks to get a response, or deal with being told you are going to lose half your deposit after spending half a day to ensure the place was spotless...perhaps this is the place for you!! They couldn't care less about their tenants as long as they get your rent check every month. The rent is very high for the quality you receive, and management is there to do nothing more than drain your bank account every month. They don't enforce pet management, so dog poop is everywhere, including in the hallways. We had a major problem with theft of items in the garage and recently there have been a lot more police calls to the complex as well. Every morning, afternoon and evening you can be serenaded by the sounds of transport vans honking their back-up horns fifteen to twenty times, just because they can. I could write an essay on all of the problems I have encountered with a less than scrupulous leasing manager, but I am just glad to be out of there!!
