I lived here for 2 years. I gave the required 60 day notice yet they continued to hound about renewal. Get to the final month, which was not a full month, yet they did not adjust the rent due. Can never get replies to calls emails or even texts.

I have refrained for many months from making a public comment regarding this property in hopes that things would change. Needless to say, they have not. I signed my lease 2/21/2022, several days after I was supposed to had signed my lease for move-in due to computer issues and from what I was told my unit was not ready due to the housekeeper needing to clean the unit and new flooring was being laid in the unit. Upon actually moving in, the flooring was peeling, clearly not new, and there was urine and hair on the toilet and there were large pieces of glass near the bedroom window, as if the window had been broken, on the floor. Upon moving in, I completed my move-in checklist and I had several items of concern on the checklist. I was advised that a work order did not have to be completed to have the items addressed. One of the issues of concern was not having a lint filter for my dryer. A dryer cannot be used with a filter because it is a fire hazard. It wasn’t until Friday, October 28 that I received a lint filter that now allows me to use my dryer. This was ONLY addressed because I submitted my notice to terminate my lease earlier that week. I selected this unit with a washer and dryer, paying extra for this amenity, to make my life easier due to, at that time, having recently had brain and spinal surgery. Instead, I ended up with having to either wash my laundry and hauling wet clothes to a laundry mat to dry them or washing and drying my clothes if I was in too much pain to haul the wet items around. This meant that over these many months, I incurred additional costs having to launder my clothes elsewhere. I submitted multiple work orders for not only the washer issue but for other items of concern in my unit only to have the work order pending for months at a time and then arbitrarily closed with a note stating “If this has not been taken care of, please submit another maintenance request.” One of the safety features that drew me to the complex was that it was gated. The gate has been secured once since I signed my lease 2/21/2022. I was supposed to receive a key fob for said gate having made multiple requests and never received it.
Get ready for a long read if you want to know how things actually are here. I have been living at this apartment for less than a year and I already hate it. You have to call the office multiple times to maybe get an answer. The apartments definitely get the "landlord special" in that there is paint on the edges of carpet and floors and outlets not installed correctly...super cheap fixes everywhere you look. They also have a contract with dynamix towing. The towing company drives around checking cars for any little thing and the front office keeps a list of all the cars and provides information to the towing company, even if the information is wrong or not checked correctly. I almost had my car towed because the office had wrong information and even after I told them they were incorrect, they made me jump through hoops to prove it to them. What a way to treat your residents. Only a couple of gates work, so it's not really a gated apartment because they leave these gates open all of the time for anybody to get in and break into your car. The pools were all improperly maintained or closed and the pools were even shut down by the city at one point this summer. Definitely not worth your money. There are better places to live.
Unfortunately I did not have a good impression with these apartments. Last month I applied with my rommie for an available apartment which I went to the link to start the process but the link only let me fill in the information of 1 person to whom I went to ask for help via mail and phone which they never helped me. They contacted me to report that my information was missing and I repeated the problem I had. The staff with a rude attitude told me that if I could enter it was my problem, I told her that I had a photo that her link would not let me, I had a photo that I had completed another format which she told me that my information was still missing. I told him to give me a solution that could be done because for my part I was trying and he wouldn't leave me the link. In the end they denied me the application due to the missing information, and although I asked for help they never helped me. The staff's solution was for us to apply again and pay again. I do not recommend this place.

The property is relatively safe, with hardly any reports of burglary or theft. However, the Management was recently replaced with a ruthless one, specializing in charging exorbitant rates for Apartments this old. This is a 'heads-up' for you.
You've been warned. Quoted me 1 price but sent me a lease for a different unit that was over $100 more

I have lived here for 11yrs and I haven't had any issues with my area or staff. Any problems with something needing fixing that get to it if not the same the next day. Maintenance guys are friendly. If they sold their property I would buy and stay.

I have lived at Silverbrook for eleven years and I love it here. Maintenance and office staff are the best. I should know, I managed apartments for 25 years.
Silverbrooks Apartment is more than apartment but a home with all form convinences available... Its a home to stay
I haven't even seen the place yet but when I called asking about floor plans the agent had an attitude. I called back later to inquire about getting a tour and seeing if the price quote for rent was still accurate and they put me on hold for 12 minutes. I hung up, called back and said what happened then she placed me on hold without any communication and transferred me to the department's voicemail. Poor communication skills and terrible customer service. I won't even bother with them.
Its been great since Ive been here. Its quiet and very clean. I have no issues, and Maintenance requests are done fast. I highly recommend!
Stay away
With Silverbrook apartment homes, They give in their urgent service whenever I have anything to fix in my apartment. I am very much satisfied.
Dont walk, run! The staff is horrible, no communication whatsoever! Staff doesnt know up from down, very incompetent and poor service. Several issues at move in, still no resolution after a month! Promised that things would be resolved that werent with no follow up!

Silverbrook Apartment Homes is a home away from Home with staff's that value the people living in the apartments. It is a perfect place for peaceful minded people. The all round Security put in place is one of the best i have seen in this state.
The maintenance issue is the only problem for this community. Its a very peaceful community but the maintenance is very poor.

This was actually the first apartment I came to when looking for a new place. The staff is very friendly and the place is so affordable. Maintenance doesn't take forever and it's very quiet and clean over. I love it. I highly recommend these apartments.
Noisy.....A lot of people always hanging outside, rude after you move in (office team), no where to park unless you pay for covered parking monthly but people still park there and didn't pay for it. Ridiculous fees after you move out. I would give them a zero but the lowest it let me select was one.
There are roaches in the apt and I've told the front office multiple times about it and they don't do anything about it. 2 of my burners do not work and I've called matinance multiple times to fix it and they don't. I asked to get a new stove and they told me that is not possible unless the stove completely stops working. My packages get stolen constantly. And the manager is a total jerk and he is super rude. Plus they charge you for any little thing.
DO NOT RENT HERE!!! They knowingly gave me an apartment with roaches & refused to give me a different apartment. Their so called termination only made the roaches crawl around my apt. I had to handle the issue myself with professionals out of my own pocket. The apartments are nothing like the model they show you. Cracks, holes & cheap paint everywhere. Also plenty of hidden fees! The staff is horrible! The gate is always broken so it stays open. The laundry room smells like sewage! The maintenance has left my apt unlocked before & never turns my alarm back on. Recently they set my alarm off while I was gone & caused a $50. The manager refused to cover the charge. Worst decision I ever made. I can’t wait for my lease to end.
This’s the worst decision ever. They said an amount when you sign your contract and after that they charged you everything again. The first and second month you don’t pay and looks like all is fine but is not. I don’t believe in the reviews cause the apartment looks nice kinda new but yeah this isn’t new just wall paint. This is horrible for the same price you can find a better one.
Sliverbrook apartments may be the most horribly run apartment complex I have ever lived in!!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!! Where do i begin first when we moved here they told us rent would be 750 fast forward to the 1st months rent it equaled out to be 950 for a one bedroom like wtf on move in day we had to pay 200 for renters insurance! Once we finally got settled in the lady in the office didn’t mention anything about the gate code so i had to go back up there just to get that and also we have these stupid alarm systems that you have to pay to get it working right even if you don’t want the alarm system they charge you 25$ a month for that not to mention we get charged twice for trash even tho we live right in front of the garbage since they have valet trash they expect people to pay for that also even if they don’t use it also you have to call the office EVERY WEEK!!!!! Just for pest control to come out regardless if they come out or not you still get charged not to mention that they can just come in whenever!!!!, one day i was home alone just getting out of the shower and the pest control guys had let them selves in i was beyond pissed so i called the office in the women i spoke to sounded as if it was my fault by saying “well they come at the same time every Tuesday so just make sure someone home “ she sounded so uninterested in my complaint!! And this wasn’t the first time we told them that no one is allowed in our apartment without us being there ... fast forward to me getting ready to go to work one morning and to come outside and see that someone took one of my tires off my car yes ONE TIRE off my car i filed a police report and called the office but yet again they were unconcerned as usual i expected them to send emails out to notify other tenants but nothing was done couple months after that someone broke into my boyfriends car and took his middle console and his other things in his car , not too long after that someone stole gas right out of his car (it is a older car ),how could i forget my apartment FLOODED TWICE!!! Because of bad plumbing issues they finally got that fixed and installed these so called new Toilets that are cheap asf they claim my apartment was newly renovated but all it looked like they did was paint over everything and i mean everything from the floors to the walls everything looks cheap!!!!
Buyer beware. The property managers at Silverbrook have chosen to have a flat, No-Appeals-ever, process if you are flagged for anything by their third-party, Yardi screening company. First is the cloud of mystery for who is responsible for the decision. The Property Managers will blame Yardi screening for your denial, and say that unless the screening company changes their "decision", there is nothing they can do. I was initially told that this was from their corporate office, BH Management, but when I followed the process to start a very reasonable appeal, per the instructions on the leasing document, the BH Management corporate office directed me back, saying that it was Silverbrook's property managers who should handle the appeal. I have a collection on my credit because an uninsured motorist from Louisiana ran a stop sign, totaling my car; and that, according to those who had financed my car, was the only way a payment plan could be set up for the amount remaining owed on the totaled car. I have provided documentation to show the payments, with only 2 left to go, and got absolutely no mercy from the management office. So, unless you are absolutely sure that your credit and other background is pristine, beware making an application as you will only be throwing away your application and administration fees. Note that many other large property management companies will put a less than perfect application to a committee before making a decision, in addition have a real appeals process. At Silverbrook, don't expect that.
I have lived her for about 4 months now and I love it. The buildings are not new but what I like about that is the walls are older and really really insulated and muffle sound better than a new built apartments. Neighbors that I pass while going to and from my car are friendly. The management staff has been friendly from day one, and are all friendly and helpful even now whenever I go to them with a question. I have only had to call maintenance once (for a beeping smoke detector) and they came within 15 minutes and took care of it quickly and with a smile. I have read some of the reviews that mention roach problems and I have NOT experienced ANY issue with bugs of any kind. I saw one bug once and sprayed it myself. Never seen a second bug. I love it here and plan on renewing my lease when it is up. :) Dee
These apartments are horrible . The cops are always here, people get their cars broken into, and roaches !! I have filled out a million maintenance requests and only a few have been fixed!! These apartments are old and out of date, and let's not forget about the roach problem that they can't get rid of . I can't wait to get out of these apartments . I rather go anywhere than here. These reviews are no joke!! I would give them 0 stars if I could!
I will never rent anything from this company again!!! They rent you a place that is not clean or maintained! Than when you move out they want to charge you for cleaning even if you shampoo carpet clean walls and leave it looking better than you got it. Charge you for photos $1 for each that would not cost even close to that to take and print out. Charge you to cut off electric even if you have called to shut off it. They will charge you for a high end price for low end apartment. We had a Freon leak in the ac they didn't even come by to look why the ac wasn't working they told us ac unit was old, come to find ac had leak that why we had $170 electric bill on a one bedroom with no one there in daytime we even put in led bulbs to save from the start. They took two of the led bulbs when they had to replace a fixture in dinning room and put regular ones in. Maintenance guy's stand around not doing anything, and looking to see if apartment manager is coming so they can hide. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM UNLESS YOU HAVE NO OTHER PLACE TO GO!!!!!!
Been living in these apartments since past 6 months, they give u false promise of getting the roaches out. but these suckers are growing and no end to them. I keep asking, for help, and the pest control doesn't show up for days! I keep requesting them, but they lie that they did it. Fed up and stuck in a lease. Roaches doesn't stop and my infant is now crawling to catch them and trying to put it in her mouth, very disgusting. My 5 yr old, is scared to go to the bathroom, as he sees bugs each time. please don't come here... sincere request from a mom.
Worse apartments ever they lied about what apt I was moving into they charge extra fees and the water in these apts taste like salt water remind you have to bathe and brush my teeth with this water also management is rude with bad attitudes you have to call these apts at least 10 times or more before someone answers the phone and i think it's sad how they run these apartments everytime you turn around the put a notice on everybody door about what they charging for I can't do it no more I have to go......
