Property Ratings at Silverhawk Apartments
I lived at Silverhawk from Nov 2019- June 2023. Overall, our living experience was fine. I mean it is apartment living so the interior is cheap, the management team/office staff is always changing, and you have loud neighbors, etc. I was happy living here until we gave our 30-day notice. Jorge and his office staff are clearly lacking training, organization and professionalism. The office staff was unclear from the beginning about what their move-out procedures were and what was being deducted from my deposit. No one could really give me a straight answer about what to expect. In the end, they tried to charge me for nail/screw holes in the walls, a cleaning fee for the dirt and grime that had been painted over before we ever moved in and an ozone treatment because we had a cat. After putting up a fight and getting my relator involved, I got my full deposit back. In short, I do not recommend these apartments as long as Jorge is the manager.

Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. Please know we care about the experience of our residents and we regret that you received the opposite impression during your move-out. We will use your comments to refine our efforts to ensure this issue does not happen again. Thank you again and we wish you all the best moving forward.
I’ve been at Silverhawl apartments going on 4- years … The management ( Cheryl ) the grounds are well kept , if I place a work order Cheryl and her team take care of issues that day or first thing in the morning depending on the time work Oder was called in . Cherly goes the extra mile to make sure you’re issue is taking care of . Cheryl will always call back and check to make sure you’re issue has been addressed and taken care of . Grounds are well kept, workout and pool are always clean and taking care of . Enjoy living there . Thanks Cheryl .

Thank you for spending the last four years here in the Silverhawk Community! We are so happy Cheryl and the team was able to assist you with that work order, and we appreciate you taking a moment to share that experience. Thank you for being our neighbor!
This place is dirty, trash all over the place all the time. Manager and assistant manager do not respond to you. They use the exercise room tenants pay for, and since COVID it is not open, nor is the pool to tenants. Loud music, guns and drugs rampant on property. Nothing is done about the issue.

We're sorry for the inconveniences you have experienced, but we appreciate your feedback. At this time no one has reported any guns etc. on the property nor have any cops contacted us regarding these incidences in our community. We do have on-call and security options for residents to contact should they be in any harm. We have notified our security and will contact the city of La Quinta to be on the lookout. We do have a porter on-site 5 days a week picking up grounds etc. there's been a lot of wind lately and will do our best to pick up daily. If you would like to discuss your concerns or if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our office. Thank you, The Silverhawk Team
I have lived here for two years and it has just become worse and worse. This year started off with a car break-in followed by multiple fires around the property including within the apartments themselves. Fire outside the apartment were clearly intentional. Management refuses to do ANYTHING to prevent these situations. There was supposed to be a patrol officer; turns out, they have not been showing up and are no longer with Silverhawk. There are supposed to be cameras; turns out, there is absolutely NO surveillance system. The walls are all only five feet, meaning anyone or anything can jump over them and trespass into the property. I have seen both coyotes and sketchy people hopping the fence. Both pose serious safety concerns which management refuses to acknowledge. The poor girls at the front have to hear about and deal with all of these problems while Canon Management sits back and makes money in their offices (which are nowhere near Silverhawk!!!!!). Funny how that works. Do not move here. Avoid it like the plague. I will get out when I finally can, but more importantly avoid ANY property that is managed by Canon Management. They are the real problem. Again, avoid Canon Management, for your own safety.

We're sorry to see this feedback and would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you about these concerns. In the meantime, we can clarify that we do have courtesy patrol, and they are also available for service calls should their assistance be required. There have been no reported fires in the community in the past two years. If a fire or suspicious behavior is observed, it should be reported to the appropriate emergency resource such as the courtesy patrol line or fire department. Since we're unable to locate you in our system based on the information provided, we urge you to contact the office as soon as possible to speak with the Community Manager. We look forward to your call. The Silverhawk Apartments Team
Beautiful remodeled apartments in a great location. Walking distance to old Town and very friendly helpful leasing agents. Will renew my lease!

Yay! We're so happy to hear you'll be renewing your lease! Thanks for the fantastic review!
Silverhawk is a great place because of the professionalism of staff and maintenance and their caring attitude. Praises are in order for both. Location and amenities are A . I give them 4 stars because the landscaping is over pruned and the poor little shrubs need a chance to grow naturally.
I'll leave her a detailed list of pros and cons for this complex. CONS: 1. This complex has doggy poop bag stations located throughout the complex. However, residents here seem to refuse to pick up after their dogs resulting in dog poop pretty much everywhere. Sidewalks, dead grass patches meant for dogs, outside your sliding glass door, the road, you name it, there will definitely be dog poop. 2. Dead trees throughout complex. Not many pretty trees here anymore since management has felt the need to shut off their sprinkler system. Makes this complex appear uncared for and neglected. 3. Random people jumping the back wall at all hours of the night. I've observed them jumping the wall at 11pm and as early as 5am. Very unnerving to know strange people are entering and leaving our complex by jumping the back wall. 4. There are only TWO security cameras in this complex. They are located near the front gate and nowhere else. Get ready to have your stuff stolen with this lack of security. 5. Front gates break at least once a month. 6. Our so called "patrol officer" does not appear to want to do his/her job as I have never seen them; not even once and apparently they've been here for months. Interesting. 7. Break ins have become a common occurrence. Thieves have been opening closed garages and going through the cars parked inside. 8. This complex states they do not allow pitbulls... there are dozens within this complex and the vast majority of them are aggressive. My own dog has been charged by one that was off a leash. 9. Cockroaches galore come summer time. 10. Golf balls flying into the complex from the golf course located next door. A car window is just waiting to be busted. 11. Front desk is incredibly hard to get a hold of and they fail time and time again to follow through with work orders. PROS: 1. It's near the cove.

Have dealt with theft hard drug use someone BEING SHOT!!! Cop chases this place is so sketchy and they still keep raising the rent!!! They put good looking girls in the office to sucker you in!!!Place is very shady and only getting worse. Had a neighbor throw his wife off the balcony. Had another neighbor stealing power out of an outside light because they turned off his power. Gates are always broke pool is dirty and always closed
This property is a disappointment starting with the office management team on site no customer service skills and always blaming eachother for everything can't follow up with complaints or service calls takes them more than 3 months to get anything done and that's because we called and had to go in to remind them. The apartments aren't as they seem they are rundown they don't look nothing like the model apartments and the appliances are dirty old looking The walls have cracks and you can see where patch holes up also over painted with cheap paint that you could see the streaks and damage. On site amenities aren't available at all business room computers & printer has never worked since I lived here for 2 years!!! The pool table room is old the sticks are always getting repair so never on site. Fitness room old and rundown sometimes if you get lucky the treadmills are working always hot in that room when office people leave the temperature in that room gets very hot and you cant adjust it!!!! Parking lot gates aren't working so it's open to the public same as the pool area. Since we first moved in we told them about a few things they always had a excuse and promise to repair or change thing but never really did they would just come and do a Mickey Mouse job!!!! The carpets aren't put in right so when vacuuming it lift up.
The management is friendly, but very unethical. I won't go into the details, because I promised my family that I would let it go. That said, the property is much more rundown than it seems. The amenities exist only on paper, because you won't be using them. Parking seems abundant, but it isn't. "Controlled Access"? ... Tell that to the homeless, who dumpster regularly. Do you see the common theme here? This place is an illusion. If you have to stay longer than a year, I am truly sorry.
Close to old town La Quinta, the Silverhawk Apartments sit near some great restaurants and offer a beautiful view of the mountains. Some unbeatable features of this complex include a garage and a washer and dryer. However beware of the parking situation, because if your car does not fit in the garage, parking is on a "first come first serve basis." Response time to any maintenance requests is very slow. When we first moved in a lot of work still had to be done, such as a cabinet door had to be hung and light fixtures were still not installed. However we did have new carpet when we first moved in which was very nice. Overall this is a good apartment complex for the price. I would recommend this apartment complex to a couple looking for their first place, or even a small family with one child. Two or more kids might need a bigger space.
For the price, I believe the units are acceptable. They are relatively roomy and overall quiet. The main problem is the maintenance of the amenities that are included in the cost of the rent. Here are some examples: They boast a pool table, but since I have been here (two years) it has been unusable because of a big rip in the felt. The two treadmills have been out of order for more than six months. They finally removed them, but have not replaced them yet. The lounge chairs at the pool are often ripped up due to lack of security and supervision at the pool. It usually takes several months to get them repaired. Additionally, there are pool rules posted, but they are a joke and are never enforced. I'm glad I don't have a poolside unit because there are always late night parties out there, which clearly break the rules of glass containers, hours, and excessive guests who are not tenants. Use caution when deciding to move here.
When I think of Silverhawk (Luxury Apartments), I think ghetto transition. This applies to the property and tenants. If you are moving in, you need to seriously consider where your life is headed. Once you look pass the facade, you will see a cheap, rundown, poorly maintained and managed slum. This place gets worse not by year, but by month.
This place has it all. Great management and maintenance staff. Very friendly residents. Total package of amenities. Super value for the money!
