Located in central Connecticut, this neighborhood of homes and rentals sits midway between Hartford to the north and New Haven to the south, a 30-minute commute in both directions via highway or the Amtrak rail system. History buffs love the number of National Register of Historical Places in this town, including the former Meriden Curtain Fixture Company factory, a sprawling red brick building converted into the Charles Street Place Apartments.
Outdoor spaces also hold historical landmark status, such as the world-renowned 1,800-acre Hubbard Park from the designers of New York's Central Park. Meriden provides 24 municipal parks, one of the top 10 public golf courses in Connecticut, and three dedicated trails for hiking, biking, and running.
Residents gather at the award-winning Ted's Restaurant, an area staple for over 50 years and home to the first steamed cheeseburger.

Property Ratings at Silvertree Apartments
Place looks great, but the Property manager is unprofessional, and has an extremely cocky attitude. I couldn't imagine having to deal with him regularly. Not what one would expect, when trying to rent a luxury apartment. I will roll the dice somewhere else.
Typical of an apartment, management is slow and useless, and just expect to lose your entire security deposit.
If you're looking for peace and quiet this is not the place. Garbage is collected at 4am so you get to be woken up by a loud dumpster being emptied. They also had the brilliant idea of placing a playscape right outside the first two buildings, so they get to hear screaming kids on a daily basis unless the weather is bad. Parking sucks...if you are not home before 7pm you will be parking way on the other side of the property and nowhere near the first two buildings. Sagging floors inside units and sewer smell inside and outside the property. The occasional smell of weed as well though it's supposed to be a smoke free / drug free property. Management makes efforts to fix things but these are ongoing issues that will most likely never be corrected. Continue your search and good luck!
I have been a resident for 2 years...I really like it cause is a quiet place, countryside feeling but not far from major malls, shops...the pool is relaxing...grounds are clean....the current management really is on top of their game...Always address issues fast....Communicate....Only sad part is my rent was raised in the middle of pandemic but thank God i was able to keep up...
Good management support. Good service by property manager for any maintenance work.Supportive staff. Property manager takes care of all pending works very efficiently. She gets the things done fast
