Property Ratings at Silvertree Communities
Their maintenance crews are terribly messy and not good at their jobs. The office staff is less than helpful and very dismissive.
Better places to live for bsu students! Way over priced and nobody knows what's going on!
Poor communication and love to try and gaslight/twist words so things work out in their favor.
Bad communication, many maintenance requests go unanswered. Some even deleted without the problem being fixed. And management expects you to continue to put requests in rather than doing it the first time. No communication unless it’s about a pool party, then they badger you with non stop texts about it
Silvertree communities are the worst. They have taken college kids money for years. There have been several complaints for countless maintenance issues which were either ignored, partially fix or fix and then residents charged for the repairs of the apartment which were not their fault. This "community" is having college kids to move out prior to their lease being up and still charging full months rent. The "community" sent an email stating the unit would not have to move out due to a delay in the supply chain on 6/21/23 then 6/26/23 turns around and sends another email stating, oh by the way, we received the supplies and now you have to move by 7/1/23 with 7/6/23 being the last day to turn in keys. What type of unprofessional, last minute, misinformation are they providing?? I would NEVER recommend Silvertree Apartments or any of it's associates to anyone looking for housing.
Charged for damages that we never caused. Maintenance takes far too long to fix anything and barely does anything at that. My fiance and I were told WE had to find someone to rent the extra room or we would have to pay more on our rent. Highly unreasonable for them not to place someone themselves rather they make you do it. Rent was far too much for how little effort they do. Don't waste your money living here. It's definitely not worth it.
1. The good reviews are fake! They bribe people into leaving good reviews with gifts. Big red flag energy. 2. Utilities are so high. Around 60-100 monthly, per roommate. 3. You get your packages stolen, Amazon- Instacart-etc orders delivered to your door STOLEN by other residents and/or who knows who because 4. Bad Security. 5. The extra “immunities” are often closed / broken 6. The “appliances” are always broken, you might as well live somewhere without a washer/dryer that’s cheaper, because yours will always be broken and you’ll have to go to the laundry mat anyways. 7. The “management” is not very mature. The management does not handle any issues or problems you bring to their attention. The “management” will even give you attitude on the phone. 8. The in office manager should not be a manager! 9. MAINTANCE is always packed with orders from other apartments, because they have so many communities/ apartments to tend to that it takes them FOREVER to get to yours. Also nothing ever actually gets fixed when they even do show up.
The whole place is a dump. We were charged for holes in the wall that were there when we moved in. The dish washer never worked. We always had to call maintenance. Had to pay over 400 on top of my damage deposit for minor issues. Don’t live here
Electric is absurd, you are charged 2 months late so you get "predicted" electric which is the highest you had times two at the end. They lease your apartment out 5 months before its time to renew, so good luck maintaining a place either. Someone couldn't pay me to come back.
The worst apartment I've ever been in. If you live in the master bedroom, you pay $50 more while the other bedrooms are closets. You have to pay $50 more for the new laminate floors, that you didn't ask for or want. No choice. They still have the dirty stained carpet in the bedrooms. So you pay for nice floors..and nasty carpet. The staff is the worst and you'll be charged for every little thing. If you ever need to sublease, you have to pay a $325 fee..and kiss your security deposit goodbye! Never told me that. I'm so glad I'm not legally blinded to them anymore. Please find somewhere else to live.
Awful people. They will charge you for anything everything they can. Not to mention you WILL have centipedes. They are large and gross and there’s really no way to get rid of them unless you squish them. They have tried to get rid of them a couple times but they really just sprayed in random places. They also recently up charged everyone for electricity. Everyone had to pay like 3 times the amount that they usually pay. Also not at all sure why it says the electricity is free it not. the heat or air is not free. They probably will show you the model before you live here btw... it looks nothing like the actual apartment you’ll live in.
This place is full of lies and wont ask for your opinion on anything they do as they please There maitence deptarment is very lazy and youll be lucky if it gets fixed the first time. Save yourself the hassel and go somewhere else
Our experience here has generally been good. Staff are polite and helpful. Work orders are filled in a timely manner. The rent is definitely affordable for the amount of space that you receive, and the community is generally clean and safe. It's clear as well that there have been some updates in the unit and we see signs of renovations in other units from time to time as well (ex. new carpet, etc.). The workout facility and pool area are nice perks also. Compared with similarly priced apartments in town, this one seems to be the best balance of value and creature comforts.
