After the American Revolution, the untamed wilderness of Onondaga County was designated a Military Tract, where land was donated to war veterans. John McHarrie and his wife Lydia were two of the first permanent settlers, arriving in 1794. They helped those traveling the Seneca River, and one of those travelers, Dr. Jonas Baldwin, arrived in 1798. Dr. Baldwin constructed a dam and a canal to harness the river's energy, and he built a bridge to establish the settlement as a river crossing. Eventually, the settlement was named for him. Today, the Village of Baldwinsville retains much of its historical atmosphere, with several buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Baldwinsville apartments provide easy access to nearby Syracuse, just 12 miles southeast. A trip along I-690 takes roughly 15 minutes, making Baldwinsville ideal for commuters who prefer a small-town atmosphere.

My parents live here and when I come and visit, the property is clean, and quiet, residents are friendly. The maintenance staff is personable and caring. Larry knows my parents and he takes great care of their needs. He makes them feel so comfortable and appreciated. The owner, Matt has gone above and beyond to help our family get settled in. I could not ask for more. I know my parents are safe, known, appreciated, and taken care of if the needs arise.
Who would have ever thought I would no longer be a homeowner, and instead, be living on the third floor of an apartment building! Spacious vaulted ceilings give us the feeling of living in a penthouse, and for the first time ever, we have a "walk-in" shower. Being the owner of a small, older dog, it was questionable to be on the top floor, but the elevator has made that a breeze. Our thick, cement floors make it almost soundproof. Looking back now, I wish I had made the decision to rent, long ago.
