Property Ratings at Six Forks Station Apartments
You might want to know what their word means before you give them yours. I was forced to use their payment system. When I signed up to have them take the rent out of my bank account on the 1st and received an email confirmation that they had agreed to do it, I should have been able to count on it. But on the 6th I found a note on my door telling me to pay a penalty immediately because they hadn't or leave in 30 days. After over a day of trying to speak with someone in the office, I provided them the email confirmation. You might think someone would say "We're sorry. There's some kind of mistake. Let us make it right." They told me it was my fault that they had not lived up to the written commitment right in front of them. This should pretty much tell you what you need to know about their view of even written commitments to their residents. There are plenty of choices around Raleigh. You might want to seriously consider others. And you might also want to consider if they are also managed by BH Management

Since I have lived here (Jan 2022) there have been 2 apartment fires, one resulted in the death of a resident (no communication about the death from the apartment, they sent out an email about the fire over a day after it happened). The apartments are kind of disgusting. I see multiple different kinds of bugs every day (despite being treated by pest services regularly) and have seen 2 mice even though I live with 2 cats. The office staff is incredibly unhelpful. In my time living there, I have had one interaction that went smoothly and it was with the property manager. I also often send emails that get no response whatsoever. You can tell these apartments were originally cheaply made and the upgrades were even cheaper. I would not recommend this complex to anyone. If you genuinely have no other option, this won't be miserable day in and day out, but I have at least one issue daily with either my unit, the office, or the complex overall. Don't live here.

We have lived with mold for over 2 years here and nothing has been done. Somebody cleaned it once and took a section of baseboard, however, the mold in the wall was vile. I can imagine it’s 10x worse in the wall. There’s also frequent bugs. We keep the place clean as we can but they keep coming in. I’m sure the damp doesn’t help. There was a fire that resulted in the passing of a resident and no one mentioned anything. Management said NOTHING about it. Which is just very poor taste. No reassurance or any kind of acknowledgment. Rent has gone up no doubt to cover insurance fees for the fire and the few extra plants they slapped outside. I’m done putting my health at risk here. Do not live here. Do yourself a favour and keep looking. It’s not worth it.
Clean, newly renovated apartment. Until you notice the roaches after a few weeks.

Friendly staff but the apartments are still need of a lot of work. Also depending on location of your apartment there are not enough parking spots so residents tend to park in front of other cars and block people in on a daily basis. No repercussions.
Horrible greedy place moldy toxic apartments lived there six years 3 different apts all of them had mold but the last one blew mold from the vents. The new owners are worse than the last Wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy

Six Forks Station is in a great, convenient location in North Raleigh. There are pros and cons to living in this community. Pros: location, spacious apartments, quiet & safe neighborhood, kind & courteous staff (current office & maintenance); be sure to get an upgraded unit for new appliances, paint, and blinds, courteous neighbors. Cons: older building with old heating & cooling systems that make for high electric bills; lack of linen and/or coat closet in units; frequent changes in management company & staff; often unreasonable rent rate increases; amenities (pool areas and fitness center) could be regularly maintained. There are far worse places, but remember the community/buildings are over 30 years old.
Closing in on a year at SFS apartments. Super glad I chose this community to live in. Everyone is friendly and my apartment is AWESOME!!

As a long term resident of Six Forks Station Apartments, I have enjoyed living in this community for almost 16 years. There have been several wonderful improvements made to the property over the years. I have also enjoyed the staff sponsored community activities. Fast and quality service. Peaceful and quite community yet next to a theater, grocery stores, Home Depot and many other stores
The community, the proximity to the airport and businesses, and the affordability for the square footage makes Six Forks Station easily of one of the best apartment communities I have lived at! I highly recommend the apartment to anyone looking for getting the most of out of their money with a safe community that is close to many businesses and restaurants.

Havent been here very long, but since I have been here anyone in the office Ive dealt with has been responsive and very helpful. They seem to really want to make it I feel like home.

This apartment community is a family and community place. I love that there are children playing and parents calling children in for dinner, and children saying hello to me as we cross path in the morning.
I had a problem with my AC unit on the weekend and they had a tech over and he resolved the problem within the hour.

Six Forks Station is a great apartment neighbourhood to live in! They are very community friendly and has fantastic staff, from front staff to maintenance team!
I'm not quite sure about the bad reviews I've read on here and I don't want to take away from their frustrations but my experience has been totally different. I moved in 6 months ago and I have summarized my experience as below: Management - Jimesha managed us. She is amazing at her job and also gave us few discounts. I can't speak for other people experiences but you know how it usually goes, people are quick to put bad reviews and you will rarely hear from those who have had no problems. The staff is professional, and courteous. I would specially want to mention about the maintenance manager 'Ismael'. He is a wonderful human being and very helpful and knowledgeable. Unit- The rent is fair, the facilities are clean. The apartment is quiet spacious and vinyl floored. I had few issues with respect to my washer and dishwasher, but when I raised a request, the management actually replaced those with brand new machines. I am very happy with the service provided and will definitely renew my lease. Community- You get ample parking spots. They have a nice gym and awesome pools(2) ! My spouse's office is just across the road, so its a 5 min walk for him(which is a perk for us). My dog loves the dog park and he has made new friends. Overall I call it home and I love my new place. If you're reading this review as part of your apartment search,I will definitely recommend it to you.Go for it.

Its a great place to live.
Six Forks Station, so far, has been a great place to call home. All my neighbors seem very friendly and the staff at the leasing office were very helpful. I needed to get into a unit ASAP and they made it happen. Bravo
Our experience here at six forks has been nothing short of amazing so far! Maintenance and office staff have gone above and beyond since the very beginning. We cant brag on management enough!
For me it is a great place to live. Everything I need is right around me. Grocery store...shopping ...movies etc.

We very much have enjoyed living here. Although older units, the interior of our apartment is remodeled and very nice. We really enjoy the swimming pool in the summer - glad to know the 2nd pool is opening this season.
Been here 5 years that should speak for it self.
I love living here and seeing so many active and pleasant and busy children playing outdoors. I have really enjoyed my time here.
Since moving in October 2017 I have had nothing but issues with my apartment. First day moving in there were fleas in my bathroom. Following that mold in my bathroom ceiling, and roaches. All that has been done is a ceiling replacement , but while repairing it I was left with a hole in my bathroom for a week. Now my issue is a rodent , and I have to wait until Friday when pest control can come out.
