Property Ratings at Six Trails Apartments - Saline, MI
Do your research. LR management has a horrible reputation in the rental industry. Huge turnover rate and unprofessional. If you see any high reviews beware, they are CAP.
On-site manger is condescending and inconsiderate to your concerns. Beware of the outrageous rent increases upon renewal.
Endless issues in this community. Horrible workers.

I had a major life change and this is my first apartment experience. The manager here was so kind and friendly and made me feel so comfortable. The process of leading went very smooth. I feel very much at home here!
By far a great space for monthly cost based on my past experiences of living and renting in many other places and states. Great woods views and any issue I have brought up have been handled in timely manner

Hello valued resident, The Six Trails office and maintenance staff sincerely thank you for your kind words and positive review. The Six Trails team prides themselves on providing great customer service and ensuring each resident is given a great experience! Thank you for making Six Trails your home.
Lived at Six trails for 2 years and moved out on August 31, 2020. The neighbors were quiet. We did have a friends car broken in to but she did leave it unlocked overnight. The shared stairwell was not cleaned for at least the last 6 months that we lived there. During the winter months, do not be surprised if you hear a squirrel climbing inside your walls or ceiling. The paint in the apartment is done as quickly as possible prior to move in. We even had a large fly painted to our kitchen wall which we affectionately named Frank. We did have a dog and payed a non refundable $300 pet deposit, as well as a refundable $500 deposit at move in. When we moved in, the carpet was in poor condition and was pulled up along the front door and where it was seamed together in the hallway. The carpet also turned the bottoms of our socks black until after we vacuumed multiple times. After move out, apparently we had to pay $80 out of our refundable deposit for a carpet cleaning. What was the point of the pet deposit if not to cover the cost of needing to replace the carpet? shouldn't a carpet replacement been in order anyways seeing that it was in bad condition when we moved in? We also had to change our own furnace filter. For a few months in 2019, I payed over $250/month for electricity in a 2 bedroom apartment. It turned out that our furnace filter was so old that it looked like a cement sheet with all of the dust on it. Once I swapped out the filter, my electricity dropped down considerably. The flood lights outside our apartment that were supposed to light up the sidewalk and parking area also do not work. I sent in a request to have them fixed so my wife could feel a little safer walking outside at night if she had to take the dog out. The response I received was that they are currently working on a solution. That was a couple months after I moved in 2018. They still weren't fixed when I moved out in August of 2020. They did have a nice strobe feature every once in a while where one would continually flash all night long. All in all, its a cheap place to live that's near a nice town, but don't expect more than cheap quality. They do the minimum amount of maintenance possible to get by and that's it. The complex is generally quiet. If you need the cheapest in the area, then six trails is for you, if not, well..

New management every 6 months, Rent Payment System notice was given days before the rent is due, while the notice said the 1st of November, it was given on the 19th. Situations such as stairway lighting, leaky pipes, faulty electrical outlet's and switches, and MOLD "ARE NOT PRIORITY" to Management.

I've lived here 3 years. The management company, SG Real Estate, is now charging$15 a month for carports that have been here for decades. They said they're going to make neccessary repairs and a coat of paint. In the first year alone. That's around $52,000 per year. The tenants now, would rather see another maintenance person or 2, for that money. Not a paint job on carport for goodness sake. Just so it will look prettier haha.

My wife watches a lot of home improvement shows and is very into the whole modern house chic. She is over the moon with joy about the state of our apartment.

To be honest, the thing that sold me on this apartment was that it has a washer and dryer. I can't stand having to go to the laundromat.

We have lived at six trails for a month now, we have been taken care of very well by Stacy and the Maintenance department. Improvements are being made here and they have been great. We are very happy with neighbors also.
My son, our cat, dog and I have been living at six trails for the past 4 years. We have never had any issues with the owners or even or neighbours. Lots of young families live here which made it prefect for us. There is a nice park in the center of the complex, a decent sized swimming pool with brand new lounge chairs and tables as of this past summer. They are currently renovating the club house to include a small gym and internet area. The best part, in my opinion, is the woods behind the complex. There are plenty of trails for hiking, absolutely stunning in the fall and of course, the wildlife is right behind us which is super cool! Very dog friendly. I believe they will be adding a dog washing station soon. I love this place and would recommend it to friends and family looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment. Especially for young families starting out.
Given the relatively low price of these apartments they are okay. They definitely aren't luxury but if you are looking for affordability they are decent. Some things you should know: - They never clean the halls. Seriously never. There are so many spider webs and bugs in the hallways. They don't have a cleaning service that comes in so any debris in the hallways pretty much stays there indefinitely. - What they call "central air" really is not. The air only blows in the front living area not in the bedroom. As a result it takes a really long time to cool down the apartment and the DTE bill reflects that. Be prepared for at least a $100 DTE bill monthly, usually more. - Office staff is iffy. One woman in there is very nice and the other is very rude and dismissive. The rude one never seems to have time for anyone. And has gotten an attitude with me before. - The mailboxes here are owned by the post office. Meaning you have to get your key from the post office not the leasing office. Trouble is the previous tenant didn't return the key so I had to go three weeks without mail. Be forewarned if you happen to move into an apartment where the previous person didn't return the key there's a chance you might not be seeing your mail for awhile. - Last but certainly not least. This apartment complex does not offer Comcast or AT&T. No one bothered to explain this before I signed my lease. The apartment complex signed an exclusive contract with a company called Suite Solutions and that is the only internet/cable provider that they allow. Suite Solutions is absolutely horrible. It has unbelievably slow internet and costs double what Comcast does. For that reason alone I wouldn't move here. If you care about internet at all don't live here. Suite Solutions isa horrible internet provider. - If you do end up living here I'd recommend bringing your own bug spray and spraying twice a month.
I have lived here since summer of 2013. Over the years there has been many improvements: New Windows and patio doors that has made a difference with the utility costs. They are working on many other projects: New roofs, a future fitness center and laundry facility at the current office and many more. They are very pet friendly (no size restrictions) but are strict about the rules. Avoid getting complaints: they are quick to take action and fine. If you follow all rules to a T, they are very nice and it stays a peaceful place to live. Very nice area and I feel very safe here. The rent cost is high in my opinion but they are working on providing activities that helps you earn dollars off rent. I have no serious complaints about management, or maintenance: my previous concerns have been fixed. They have come a long way since I moved in. If you are looking for a apartment to rent for a long term period, check out Six trails.
