Centering on the Salt Lake City International Airport, Jordan Meadows sits less than five miles west of downtown Salt Lake City. Primarily an industrial neighborhood dotted with business that support the airport, it manages to provide a thriving cluster of residential, commercial, and retail options concentrated east of Interstate 215.
Residents choose the area for its low rent and home prices, surprisingly robust shopping and dining options, and -- perhaps most important -- its easy access to downtown, the city's public transportation system, and the airport.

Property Ratings at Sky Harbor Apartments
I had a loft here for a year and I loved the whole experience living here. Everytime I put in a maintenance request they were there within the day I put it in or the next day and the repair men were always so kind and quick. The front desk and everyone in the main office were always very kind and helpful whenever I called or needed assistance. For the apartment itself when moving in everything was in great condition when moving in. The amenities were always clean and taken care of well and the security that comes and checks the clubhouse were very kind when letting everyone know that the clubhouse was closing. For the comments about their cars getting broken into and homeless folks being around, It’s really not a big problem the folks that walk around tend to keep to themselves and the complex sent out multiple emails about the car break ins warning people to keep them locked. My only complaints are that if your registration isn’t up to date they will tow you and they won’t give you any assistance getting it back besides telling you who towed it and there is not a lot of uncovered spots for guests or other residents that don’t have a parking pass. Overall this place was amazing to live and I will be recommending it to future friends!

Hello, we are so glad you were pleased with your residency at Sky Harbor and thank you for taking the time to give us a positive review. Our team works hard to keep the community grounds clean and beautiful. We hope you have a great weekend! Thank you, The Sky Harbor Team
I cannot overstate how strongly I urge you to not live here. Awful area, I was harassed by vagrants more than once. Lived here three years, they raised my rent three times and never improved or renovated a single thing. Cant fathom how they can justify charging what they do for what you get (or dont get rather). The "amenities" were all too often closed or broken, but they certainly had no issue charging you for those things which you cant use. Furthermore after I notified them of my intent to vacate they still send me a note saying "thank you for renewing". What a sorry excuse this place is. Cant stress this enough DO NOT LIVE HERE.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to review our community. I am so sorry to hear that you did not believe our community earned your five-star approval. Rent increases are rarely welcomed, and many on our own team are also renters, so we understand your concerns. However, it is true that broader market trends have made apartment living and maintenance more expensive, which is why you are seeing the increases. We are so sorry to hear that you do not believe the value of your apartment matched its price. The scenarios you describe are not ideal, and we apologize that you have had this experience. We understand that you are no longer living in our community but if there is anything we can do to repair your outlook on here, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Thank you again – Mayra G., Assistant Manager
Very sketchy neighborhood. Car was broken into and stuff was stolen and when telling the office no one even showed the slightest bit of sympathy. Neighbors dont even smile at you when walking by. Apartments feel very small and very outdated. Very rude and inconsiderate staffing.

We sincerely apologize for the situation, we can understand how frustrating it is when crime happens in the community. We truly care about our residents and certainly don't want you to feel this way. We would love to know how we can improve your outlook, please feel free to call us at 801-539-8002 at your earliest convenience. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon. - The Sky Harbor Team
If you enjoy worrying about having your property being vandalized and solicited by the homeless, then this place is for you. This apartment would be much better if it was closed and/or monitored by security. If you decide to stay here, then carry a weapon with you when you walk out the door.

management is very polite here. they will have maintenence fix issues asap. I moved in and one of the burners on my stove wasn't working. I told management about it when I did my inspection and they had someone by the next day to fix it. The guy who fixed it also told me about another concern I had and was very nice in doing so.

Thank you for the 5 star review! We are so glad that you are enjoying your apartment here at Sky Harbor. Our team's goal is to create a community where each resident feels at home, so we truly enjoyed reading your review. Have a wonderful day! Alisha G., Assistant Manager.
I lived here for a year with a roommate. The property management only care about curb appeal. They do nothing to keep residents they have already. I suppose it's cheaper to bring in new tenants than to fix things and keep the old ones. Looking at all of the obviously fake reviews gives you a pretty good idea of what the office staff really spends their time doing. There are also a lot of reviews posted by people who took tours. Super unreliable, seeing as these people see the two hot tubs, but never realize that the majority of the time one or both of them are broken. They've never seen the maintenance staff fish someone's old tampon out of the pool and then leave the contaminated water as it is. They've never had to throw away a family heirloom because mold - which is everywhere, btw - destroyed it. They've never had to listen to neighbors screaming at each other at three in the morning because walls are paper thin. Don't trust any of the "I just took a tour! 5 Stars!" reviews - they have only seen the curb appeal.

Hello, we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear you had such a frustrating experience. The scenarios you describe are disappointing, and we apologize that our services and amenities fell short during your stay. It is something we have reviewed with our staff and will endeavor to improve on so every resident can be proud to call our community their home. We understand that you are no longer living in our community but if there is anything we can do to repair your outlook on our community, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. I was looking for 2beds and 1 bath. It is not a too small apartment (kitchen area, bedrooms and so on...). Great place with great staff. They will make you feel comfortable while giving you any information you might need pertaining to renting here(just ask). Light rail (Metro or train) station (not crowded) is just across the street next to the apartment. Banks, schools, grocery stores and other businesses are close by. Great location to explore the city and also has great scenery...come and make Skyharbor your new home!! I love it.

Hello and thank you for your 5 Star review! We appreciate you taking the time to let us know what makes your home comfortable. Please let us know if you need anything. Have a great day. The Sky Harbor Team
The apartment provided me with bed bug infested furniture, then refused to treat the apartment. After I moved out due to health reasons caused by the bed bug infestation because I was getting bites every night, they charged me $3800. They are frauds, don't be deceived by their appearance. Never rent furniture from them, there is the obvious issue of bed bugs. There is also the issue that they will turn around and charge you for new furniture when the furniture is used and you left it in the condition they gave it you. DONT LIVE HERE

Hello, I have responded to your other reviews and once again I am happy to discuss your concerns personally. Please call 801-539-8002. Thank you, Julie Koch - District Manager
Affordable apartment near the downtown and very close to Traxs, restaurant etc. I had tour a few weeks ago, it looks like everything well maintained and very clean. They have a well-equipped on-site gym, laundry, pool and other recreation activities. The staff was really friendly too. I have been searching apartment for few weeks. I think price compared to other places and been closed to downtown. This will be the best option. I will recommend this place.

If you like to be woken up by random apartment inspections early in the morning with no warning then this is the crap hole apartment complex for you!
So, this is a bit of an interesting conundrum. When me and my girlfriend first moved in, we had a few issues. They suddenly decided to charge us a $5 waiver fee for not having renter's insurance, but we do have one through me and we weren't charged the fee the first month. When we asked why we are now, they gave us some hullabaloo about how my gf's name has to be on it as well and the apartment complex has to be listed. We asked why the waiver wasn't charged for the first month, and they couldn't give us an answer other than, I don't know. We were told about a package fee we'll be charged when a package comes in.... but actually never occurs. They never hold your packages or charge you for them like they said? Don't know. Don't even get me started on the hiccup we faced when we missed a digit on our bank account number when paying rent, even when we came forward after realizing our mistake the next day. Yeah, no bright side for us on that but we eventually got things handled. This was only the first two or three months. Other than those hiccups, the community is really great. Maintence is really quick and friendly, very reassuring when there's a problem. In the beginning, we made the decision to leave this place as soon as the lease was up, but the location, the comfort of the apartment, amenities, friendliness is just very alluring and I'm having difficulty wanting to leave this place anymore. It's located in a pretty shady part of town with a few homeless, but this is like a smaller neighborhood by itself, with plenty of friendly people. Never had anything stolen on my part so no complaints there. Another big downside I'd say, is that there's no map. They handed us our keys to the apartment and we spent a good part of half an hour wondering around trying to find the building, let alone our apartment number. They need some sort of map to help people find their way around, it's hard enough trying to get some food delivered to your place.

Hello and thank you for your review. First, let me say how happy my team and I are that you have decided to stay with Sky Harbor Apartments. You said it best by saying we are our own little neighborhood. I found your detailed comments very helpful and have already begun the necessary training steps to assist them in accommodating such questions and requests. I hope you have a wonderful day and stay warm on this chilly, snowy April morning.\nJulie Koch, Sky Harbor Manager
They will rip you off from every direction possible. You are the God until you sign the contract. Then you are a trash.
I have lived at here for 8 months and the maintemces is awesome They complet my work order the same day
When I was first looking for an apartment, I toured this place. When I toured the person was incredibly nice, seemed like a fun person. After I had signed a lease agreement that changed to me being a crook. I felt like every time I or anyone else walked into the office there was this heavy sigh. The door to the laundry facilities rarely work, I sat outside swiping my card for a good five minutes before someone just let me in. Then, even though you need a key to get into it and there is surveillance, It closes at eleven(reference how they think we are all crooks). A joke. especially since I work odd hours and am usually awake with the most time late at night. They nickle and dime you on everything. $20 dollar convenience fee to pay your bill online. 5 dollars for this 2 dollars for that. If the rent seems reasonable, They'll find more was get it out of you. one day I came home for lunch to find a note on my door saying that they would be inspecting my apartment that day, I had no time to tidy up, or if I had animals that would've been awful. sure enough after work I come home to a note saying that they came. if you want to live in a place with minimal office disturbances, or to live in peace. DO NOT COME HERE. I came here because of the five star reviews, but they are probably fabricated by the team of girls working the front desk. Do yourself a favor and don't live here.
My apartment is clean, has beautiful landscaped grounds. It gives a feeling of peace and tranquility. I had to move from my home due to an illness and I needed to find an apartment quickly. I came here because of it's central location and convenience. I am so happy that I did. The office staff is always friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff strives to fix any repairs in a timely manner. There is security here and that makes me feel safer to know that our vehicles and the complex are protected. Overall this place provides a feeling of family and I am home.
The Apartments are very small and old. Yet place is good to stay for small families. Well maintained and friendly staff. Good club house. If you are looking for small place near to airport and downtown this is the place. Local train is available just outside the gate. The staff is reachable and they respond quickly.
I saeeda have been living at sky harbor for over 5 years i love living here everything is close to home i am 10 minutes from the airport 10 minutes from downtown slc my work is close to home as well and also everything else like trax' shopping centers and much more. The community is awesome great neighbors cleans enviroment covered parking and good security at night. Lets not forget about the club house it is so useful and great the laundry room the gym the pool the bbq areas and very helpful staff and again its a great place to live in thanks.
I have found new comfort in my cozy little loft. It's just the right size and has character to appease my contemporary edge. I love the grounds. Very clean and lots of amenities to enjoy... Bbq stations, pool, sauna, hot tub, gym and more. The staff is friendly. I feel safe and taken care of as a resident.
This is a captivating place to live; with a radiant park like atmosphere that permeates relaxation, fresh air and vibrant colors of plants and florets, you wouldn't know the airport's minutes away. With I-80 close and a Trax station directly out front, this makes commuting a sense of leisure. This is affordable living at it's finest with multiple amenities, surrounded by convenience, downtown entertainment, spacious apartments, and a real sense of safety. I'm privileged to call this place my home.
A Great Place to Live Sky Harbor in Salt Lake City Utah is a great place to live! And we ought to know. My wife and I have had the opportunity to live in many diverse areas of this beautiful country of ours—apartment-hopping, you might say, every several years. We've pretty much seen it all: the good, the bad and the ugly—ranging from the overpriced to the affordable in all of the aforementioned categories. Sky Harbor tops our list. We had lived in Salt Lake thirty years ago while I was attending grad school, and we loved the climate and the many recreational and cultural opportunities. And that's what drew us back. Last year, driving around town, looking at locations and apartment complexes, what immediately caught our eye about Sky Harbor is its beautiful landscaping. The tender-loving care that is obviously bestowed upon the many lush trees, bushes and flower gardens nicely accents the thirty-four small buildings scattered throughout the ten acres on which the property is situated. With six to eight units per each two-story building, and ample parking (not only for cars but RVs, motorcycles and bicycles), the property never looks crowded. Other amenities include the pool and recreation center, with indoor and outdoor hot-tubs, a nicely equipped exercise room and racquetball court. Also attached to the rec center is the large (and always kept super clean!) laundry room—with its adjacent TV viewing room. And as I write this, construction is underway for an internet cafe attached to the laundry room. Other—outdoor—recreation facilities include sand volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, and a children's play area with up-to-date, safe hard-molded plastic equipment: and everything is extremely well maintained. It is truly difficult to find fault with Sky Harbor. It is conveniently located just off of one of the city center's main cross streets, West North Temple, which runs west out to the airport and east toward Temple Square and Downtown. The commuter rail, Utah Trax, runs up and down North Temple (stopping just across the street) from the airport to the University of Utah to the east, as well from Provo to the south to Ogden to the north. It is also situated only a few minutes driving time between the two major interstates that run through Salt Lake, I-15 and I-80, as well as the belt route I-215. What is it realtors say? “Location, location, Location!” The staff at Sky Harbor are terrific! UNFINISHED!! WHAT"S MAX LENGTH?
Affordable apartments relatively close to downtown Salt Lake City. Walking distance to trax. Great pool, hot tubs, racquetball court, laundry area, and sauna. The grounds are well maintained and the apartments/parking lots are constantly being upgraded. The leasing office is understaffed which generally leads to a long wait time when you need help. Otherwise, a great place to call home!
This beautifully maintained apartment complex is literally 5 minutes from downtown SLC, UT & 5 minutes from the airport. The Utah Transit Authority's light rail is situated in front of Sky Harbor, and buses are within a two minute walk. You couldn't ask for a better living situation than what Sky Harbor offers its residents. The apartment's ground are immaculate and well landscaped. Its clubhouse is clean, and has wonderful amenities such as a gym, laundry facility, lounge, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, pool, sauna, business center, and covered parking at no additional cost to a renter. The only drawback we experience is an outdated air conditioning unit that is too loud, and cannot be regulated automatically. That said, the rental price is very competitive compared to other apartments within the SLC metroplex, especially so given its remarkable location. Finally, the staff are friendly and attentive to our needs.
Sky Arbor Apartments are by far the best experience I have had so far. As a family man, my wife and my under 18 boy have found in this place the perfect balance between security, closeness to the city and open spaces to enjoy, not only within the apartment complex but also, among the many parks that Utah offers. Security: So far I have not had a trouble regarding my apartment, parking lot or anything that the Sky Arbor offers: With a business center, lounge and a great swimming pool, I have found this amenities 24 hour secured due to the private security that is always on the watch. Also, the neighbors are very friendly and easygoing, that makes you feeling like part of a big family. Closeness to the city: It is well known by Utah residents (and non-residents like my family) that Salt Lake City has one the best public transportation services within the U.S. One of the Metro trains stops in front of the Apartment complex, which makes moving around the city way easier than other places. You can be in 10 minutes in a city mall and also, 20 minutes later, in the University of Utah or any other schools spread around the city. It is by this strategical location that Sky Arbor is great. And if you have to take a flight, you only take the metro again, since the next stop after the apartments is the airport. That is great. Finally, the recommendations: One of the things that my family and I have noticed is that there are many young children living within the families in the apartment complex. Since Sky Arbor has tons of space that it is a green area or is already in use, I would recommend to make an analysis in order to open, exclusively for renters, a Childcare center. Can you imagine how many mothers or pregnant women are willing to work but they can't because they have to take care of their children? Sky Arbor Apartments feel safe for us, the renters. This attribute that they own, can be used to expand and open a daycare center for renters: The families will feel secure that their children being taking care of and also, they are inside the place they call "home". They won't have to make another stop in order to pick up their children and a bond of trust can be made in deeper ways. Finally, these mothers or fathers now are earning money, not only to pay the proper rent for the apartment and the daycare center, but also, this will boost the city economy, so it's a win-win relationship.
In short, it's okay. The property is kept up pretty well. The grass is green, the "club house" has some nice amenities. The apartment is pretty close to the UTA Trax (public transportation service)which is convenient for a quick trip downtown. Sometimes after dark you may have some "interesting" encounters whether it is people yelling or people making lewd comments. I suspect that is just one element of the apartment lifestyle. Inside the apartment things seem pretty standard. No fancy furniture, appliances, carpeting, floor etc. comes with any apartment, but what is provided is perfectly suitable for most people. The only real negative I'd have to say about the Sky Harbor Apartments is that it can be difficult to deal with billing issues if/when they occur. I do not get the impression that a billing misunderstanding will be resolved in a way that is beneficial for the tenant. Lastly, the location of the apartment complex and services provided do not reflect the cost of rent. I feel the apartments are a bit pricey for what they provide.
Nice 2 floor loft space just minutes from work. Been here 6 years and it has been quiet and comfortable. Maintenance has always been quick to fix anything with a minimum of trouble. The clubhouse has a weight/fitness room, laundry, racquetball, pool, and sauna, free for resident use. Parking is pretty plentiful and I can usually get a covered spot within steps from my door. Neighborhood is a mix of residential and commercial and the TRAX train stop is almost right in front of the complex.
The apartments are in great shape, the grounds are beautiful, and all of the facilities are great quality. The pool is nice and big, and the laundry facility and gym have quality equipment. The apartments themselves are small, but there is still plenty of space as long as you don't have large peices of furniture. And there is a lot of closet space for each room! The only problem I encountered was how long the process of getting applied and approved was. It took a full month of applying and two weeks for the background check alone. Every form was sent separately and not in good time, but once we got moved in the staff has been very prompt and the maintainence staff is amazing!
I feel lucky to have found Sky Harbor. The grounds are well-maintained, with many amenities. The management is proactive, and takes care of the needs of the tenants in a timely manner.
These apartments are small, without much storage, but they get the job done. There are lots of amenities (laundry, sports courts, pool and hot tub, playground, etc). Maintenance is usually quick, especially if you are having an emergency, and management is often nice and polite. The location of the complex is good, next to public transportation, restaurants, and major highways. But the neighborhood isn't the greatest--things get stolen off of porches and out of cars and the police have to come around every so often.
this complex is very nice it is very close to things the staff does a great job on keeping the complex looking nice I am planning to be here for awhile
Pros: Good location, right next to Trax, the airport, lots of restaurants Great amenities (on-site laundry, pool, 2 hot tubs [1 seasonal, 1 year round], racquetball court, volleyball court, basketball court, playground, bbqs) Maintenance is quick and isn't afraid to spend the money to fix up your apartment (we got a new water heater and a new window) Pretty cheap for SLC cost of living Cons: Not the nicest neighborhood (I've had things stolen from my porch and I had to call the cops on a violent, drunk neighbor and I've only been living here a couple of months) Management isn't always nice (they are overworked and a few of them tend to get rude and sarcastic by noon) They nickel-and-dime you (You have to pay a $5/mo waiver if you don't have $100,000 liability renter's insurance, $5/mo for them to hold your packages in the office if you buy something online, etc. Lots of fees you aren't aware of going in) These apartments don't have a lot of space, especially not storage space. My husband and I live in the layout with the loft, which is really cute, but is a lot tighter than we thought, even though we are both minimalists. The kitchen has half-appliances (can't fit a regular sized cookie sheet in the oven). Also, since all the loft apartments are on the top level (and our windows are West-facing), it gets HOT in the afternoon, so electricity can be pricey. But it's decently made (if using cheap materials, i.e. the carpet). There are also a lot of kids in the apartments, even though it isn't the best of neighborhoods. Also, it all runs on electricity (no gas) which is nice because you don't have to deal with the gas company.
Tiny Apartments, one step per room and you are in the next room. Overpriced for the size. Poor insulation, for the winter and for the summer, so it was super hot and super cold. Nearly froze in my apartment. The amentities were nice, wish that there were more. Maintenance was quick to respond, but would argue with you, if you said there was a problem, they will tell you it was fine, such as the insulation stated above, but the Community Center people were nice and helpful. Office Staff could not give you the same answer and beware as when your contract is finished if you extend for a shorter time for example a few extra months, until you move to say a new area or another part of town, don't advise that you are leaving just advise that when you are down with the contract you are not re- signing, if you give a date before they believe that the apartmnet will be empty then they will charge a breaking the lease fee, because as soon as you advise you are essentially breaking your lease and they charge once for breaking the lease and next for your rent, and they will try to say that they are having you pay your rent but they are just getting you to double up the payments.. Neighborhood, is the ghetto for Salt Lake, which means not bad for everywhere else. No real noise. But could smell other tenants tobacco smoke due to poor sealnt between ventilation systems, in the bathroom. The water heater is the size of a mini trash can so don't expect hot water for very long. Save yourself the hassle and rent somewhere else.
Hi, I have recently moved here and found this apartment is best for family who have kids, as there is lot of space for kids to play. The staff is very good and helpful. Thsi socity is near by Trax station so very much easy for commute.
A lot of things seem to be going on to improve the property. The buildings have been painted a nice color and they are really working on improving the sidewalks. I think it's a nice effort to keep the area looking beautiful and welcoming.
Didn't love the location at first, but it's grown on me. I do love my apartment though. Its the perfect size and easy to keep tidy. I wish they allowed pets...but on the plus side, I don't have to worry about stepping in dog doo when I'm outside!
This complex is a good place to live. There is a wide variety of things to do. The laundry facility is top notch, and a lot cheaper than going to a laundromat. Only downside is that there are no hookups in the apartments. Staff are available for long hours, and are very helpful.
