About Us Sky Properties manages 6-unit garden-style apartment buildings 10 minutes outside of Washington, DC and just minutes from the Beltway in the sought-after Montgomery County suburb of Takoma Park/Silver Spring. Many of the buildings are located near Wayne and Flower Avenues, while others overlook Sligo Creek Park. Most apartment buildings are within walking distance to the Silver Spring Metro Station. Convenient Location There is no need for a car when you live at Sky Properties. The J-4 Metro bus stops close to our buildings and provides direct access to Bethesda and College Park, while the Silver Spring and Takoma Park Metro Red Line stations are only 10-15 minutes away on Montgomery County's Ride-On bus service. Washington, DC's Union Station is just under 30 minutes away. The University of Maryland campus in College Park is only 10 minutes away on their shuttle, which stops nearby. Loved my 2 years here!

I'm a woman in my early 20s and moved into a one bedroom right out of college to pursue my Master's degree in D.C. Terry in leasing is amazing and such a sweetheart. The buildings are older and do need upkeep every once in awhile, but the maintenance team was great and very friendly. I felt super safe living on my own here. My neighbors were great and very considerate. I loved my time here and was very sad when the job market took me out of the DMV area. Would highly recommend looking into these properties! Great location, super close to downtown Silver Spring and the metro into D.C.

Unapologetically bad service

We moved in Labor Day weekend 2018. We did a walk through and addressed things to be fixed before move in. We moved in on a special since the unit had been vacant for an entire month prior. Nothing was fixed when we actually moved in; light bulbs out, blinds broken, no shower rod, no toilet seat, electrical sockets not working, AC not working, bedroom door not being able to close. It’s been almost a year and there are still things on the initial requests that haven’t been addressed. In addition to that, there’s black mold growing from the ceiling of the bathroom that leaks out, cockroach infestation, lights in the stairwell have been out, and our AC has been out for over a week in the middle of summer. We were forced to break our lease after it was made clear after contacting the leasing office and all points of contact that the air conditioning wouldn’t be fixed as the company they use to service the apartments seems to keep missing ours for some reason. If you have any other options lined up besides anything sky properties has to offer, do that.
