We are soooo happy at Skye of Turtle Creek! The apartment is very large, in great shape, and has an amazing view! The pool AND jacuzzi are like new and their are BBQ's and a great workout gym. The maintenance staff are also great. We turned in 3 minor maintenance requests and all were responded to almost immediately! And there is always someone cleaning everyday. And the staff are so friendly and accessible. There is even a concierge! Dakari and Shara are awesome! Sooo happy we found this place and highly recommend it!

Just walked in and the entire lobby is under construction. I was in search for a 3 bedroom apartment because my current place was flooded. Although they didn’t have anything available currently the office staff was welcoming. Kendall said she would get back to me asap if anything came up. When leaving the assistant manager, Anthony asked if I would be so kind and write a review of my experience since I love the place. My friends lives here this place definitely a hidden gem, tucked away in Turtle Creek. I can’t wait to see how the new lobby turns out.

Prime location right on the Katy Trail a little removed from the busy-ness of uptown and downtown. Besides this the apartment is average at best. During my 1.5 years living here we had no less than 5 flood incidents, including one where I woke up to water pouring through my bathroom ceiling. Months and months of fans, broken elevators, service crews etc. This is obviously not an isolated incident as it keeps happening. The units are nice and in solid shape but somewhat dated. If you happen to have a unit on the east side of the building you will be woken up every morning by the construction crew that has been at work almost a year in the lot next door. My car was broken into here with a smashed window. The parking garage does not have enough free spaces for residents unless you play a usurious reserved parking fee for a reserved spot then good luck finding a place to park after 10pm. The staff is friendly and the concierge is nice but I think you can probably find better bang for your buck and not have to worry about a 15 story complex being reduced to one or two operational elevators because there is a monthly flood.
I never complained once when I lived at Skye, though there were many occurrences for me to do so (i.e. the recurring water leakage that halted the use of functioning elevators, parking space unavailability, excessive fire alarms, etc.). I never negotiated for a reduction in rent, though there were many times I was not able to even conveniently use the most basic amenities (working elevators). Throughout it all, my only suggestion to Skye is this: please kindly inform residents that the last month of rent (no matter how many days of stay) will be automatically charged with the new rate, unless they remove their credit card from the auto-pay function, or simply just modify the payment system application to reflect the correct charges. I would hate for this instance to happen to future residents, so I feel like it is within my obligation to inform, as Skye was unfortunately not able to do so. Sad to say that I will not be referring anyone to live at Skye.

From the time I called inquiring about an apartment home here the staff was very nice and answered all of my questions. When I toured, they were very knowledgeable and polite in answering all my questions. It's also steps away from Victory Park and super accessible to downtown life. I would definitely recommend Skye to my friends or anyone I know looking for an apartment home.
We now have had 4 pipes burst since May and the rate of repair is terrible. The service elevators broke in May and are still not fixed. It took them until end of July to repair the baseboards. Then end of July the pipes have burst 3 times over the last two weeks and we keep getting our water shut off for a whole day. We have 1 (sometimes 0) working elevators and no compensation for it. Do not move in here

As for the elevators, while there has always been at least one elevator that has been operational, we also know how inconvenient not having them all working is for our residents. We are trying to make up for this as best we can with Hello Alfred and hosted events. And while we know that doesn?t take away all of the inconvenience, we hope it helps some. Please know our team is working around the clock, and we hope to have all of the elevators operational and repairs completed as fast as possible.
We have had flooding in the apartments from May until currently (middle of July) and there has not been communication to the residents nor have they truly fixed the problem (aka it keeps happening over and over). It’s frustrating because the rent price has gone up $200 since the flooding and the owners are standing firm on that front. I wish they would just do the right thing since the advertised “luxury living experience” has not been so luxury.

The leasing professionals and the concierge staff prop this building up. If you stop by for a tour you’ll be right to like them. But if you stop by for a tour, take note of the plastic-covered carpet on the first floor, the cut-out sheetrock on floors 1-5, and the water stains throughout. Ask about the freight elevators — they’re out of order. It’s been this way for more than a month. The property manager says that they’re waiting on insurance approval for the repairs following a major water leak. The subtext is that they can’t/won’t float the money to complete the repairs in the meantime. Oh, and if you stop by for a tour, I truly wish you the best in finding a parking spot. The parking garage doesn’t have enough capacity for all the residents, so we overflow into the future resident / guest parking, 15-minute loading zones, and even the fire lanes. For what it’s worth, the assistant property manager told me that they’re looking into adding more levels onto the existing parking garage, but I’m sure that the best case scenario is 18-24 months to completion — if it’s even possible. Pros: • Great concierge staff • Central location with private Katy Trail access • Large floor plans • Nice views Cons: • 23-year-old building with a fresh coat of paint • Maintenance issues • Original windows — not energy efficient • Poor parking accommodations

The main reason I live at SKYE is because of the 24/7 concierge, that not only myself but other residents have gotten close with over the years. They know us by name and our pets by names and what our lives are about. These are the people I trust to allow others into my home. The concierge staff is amazing, always willing to help and make the quality of life here so comfortable and rich. However, GREYSTAR has decided to fire all of them without telling any of the residents what is going on. No email, no letters nothing!! It's very shady that the company is doing this to paying residents and people we have built a relationship with to trust, main reason why people live here is because of the concierges. Without them here, honestly I am not going to have the same level of comfort or feeling of safety anymore here, makes me want to break my lease and move elsewhere. While, I am not the only one who is considering this just about half of the residents are. The reason to fire all of these people who help the residents is to cut costs. This is not where costs should be cut. Costs should be cut at HelloAlfred, coffee machines, dog treats and renovations. It's very sad a company is taking away what matters the most to their residents.

I have had a wonderful experience living at Skye at turtle creek. The leasing office is very friendly and accommodating. The complex also offers in home concierge and cleaning services, Hello Alfred. They are very responsive and help with daily tasks that I might not be able to get to. Having them stop by weekly has been great.

This place deserves 0 stars. I lived in this building a few years ago and absolutely loved it. I am moving back to the area and my hubby contacted them about availability. The leasing agent sent us their availability and we chose a unit we liked. We filled out all of the paperwork. The computer system "wasn't working" so we had to take a cashiers check to the office in order to keep the unit (we live 200 miles away). When I arrive, I take a tour to see the updates and I view the same floor plan of the unit we were renting. All is well. As I drive home, about 30 mins on the road, the leasing agent I was just with calls me and tells me there has been a mistake. The computer system "malfunctioned" and the unit we have had on hold for 3 days has actually been leased to someone else. Im shocked and upset because I was literally just sitting in their office... the girl tells me she has good news though... wait for it- they have a bigger unit available for only $600 more a month. Wow. To make it worse, I go in person the next day to "negotiate." I get the privilege of speaking with the assistant manager (Myra). She again offers me the $600 more a month unit and nothing else. I understand they they are likely unable to change pricing, but I had to drive to give them a cashiers check for a large amount of money. Given that this was at the fault of the building, I was hoping for some empathy, but Myra was less than pleasant and unprofessional. I stated that "since this was the fault of the building, I don't feel like it is unreasonable for yall to give me the money back in the form of a check or cash." Myra argues with me and tells me this is not their fault... she says "it is our computer system, not us..." As I attempt not to laugh uncontrollably, I ask "what is the difference?" At this point, I am done. She then tells me she has been "in the industry for 7 years"..... I told her "I would hope that in 7 years you would know customer service." I completely understand that Myra can't change apartment prices, but all I wanted was ownership of a big mistake and acknowledgement of how much it displaced my husband and I. This was asking too much. In short, if this post helps one person, then I have succeeded. Im saddened by the poor management since I left this building years ago. It once was a great place to live...

Building under Construction including the swimming pool area. Construction is very noisy and busy. Working even on weekends. Painting the exterior of building a dark color. First floor has new blue and grey theme. Rest of the floors are still in the old finishes. Parking is super crowded. Very young and noisy tenants. Lots of Animals.
