Property Ratings at SkyHouse Dallas Apartments
This property is not very safe. I have seen multiple break-ins with the management doing nothing to ensure safety. Last week 20 cars were broken into in the parking garage. The management is subpar, unresponsive, and only cares about you until you sign a lease. Would not recommend

We hope you know how much we appreciate you sharing your feedback with us. While no apartment community can guarantee safety, we strive to make SkyHouse Dallas a peaceful place to come home to. Be assured, our residents are our first priority, so we will keep you aware of any updates that are made.
There are many issues with the elevators and the garage gates. Guest parking is limited.
Top notch, start to finish. Attention is paid to the details, here. Love my apartment. Love my neighbors. Love the building. The staff (concierge, maintenance, housekeeping, etc) appear genuinely happy to be here... that makes me think that leadership / mgt is doing a fantastic job and taking care of these people. That's awesome. I feel at home here & am extremely likely to remain long term.
The elevators always take a very long time, otherwise I really enjoy living here
Doesn't need to be said, but the elevators are a major problem. There just doesn't seem to be any communication around timelines/downtimes and in addition, rates for the building are going up. Lastly, there's been a police officer in the lobby for weeks now making residents feel like we live in an unsafe area
Excellent service - concierge, manager, maintenance, cleaning staff - all top notch professionals who are courteous and knowledgeable!!
We have recommended to others but make it clear to them there are ongoing issues with elevator and security gate.
maintenance staff and concierge staff are great. it's the elevator issues and issues with people not picking up after their pets outside that would prevent me from recommending this apartment.
The location, the people that live there, the pool, the gym, the view from our apartment, most of the maintenance staff, James at the front desk - there are too many things to list that make it great! The would not recommend are the usual suspects - elevator and lack of restricting non-residents from the pool.
I would not recommend this to a friend because the elevator wait and lack of use was astonishing. There are too many other buildings to live in & not have to deal with a constant wait. Also, the lack of on site visitor parking is a huge draw back.
Great location, clean complex, beautiful pool
The maintenance at Skyhouse Dallas is superb. It offers great value for the price. My main concerns were the elevators being frequently broken and the crowd moving into the building during the final 6 months of my lease. When I first moved in, the crowd was much more professional compared to when I moved out.
Everything about the apartment was great. I just needed a change of scenery.
The concierge is fantastic and everything is so great
No complaints besides the elevator being down frequently.
Only negative comment is the elevators are ALWAYS out of service. This is a major issue and needs swift actions to mitigate the problem.
The elevators are a real problem along with lack of guest parking. My friends that come to visit are always frustrated so I cannot say that I would 100% recommend moving here.
The biweekly elevator problems are too frequent. Furthermore, the is often dog pee in the stairwell when the elevators are not working.
Building is not cleaned on the weekends. One or more of the elevators is always out of service.
The pricing, good views, fun pool in the summer and good staff are why I would reccomend. Elevators, lack of access to amnenities and compenstation through COVID and the parking situation would be why I wouldn't reccomend.
The elevators are not always fully functional which can be quite inconvenient!
Young professionals in a work hard, play hard setting. Perfect for the young people who want love and work in an environment of other young professionals.
1. Elevators - You might want to start going to the gym, your going to need it. Elevators are always broken. As I type this, 1 of 3 elevators is working. Current wait time for elevator around 10 minutes. At one point we didn't have any elevators working for over 3 weeks 2. Drugs - This place smells like a weed factory 24/7 3. One big frat party. If you are into frat parties you will fit right in here 4. Don't move in here with you kids and think you will be taking them to the pool. Pool is one big party, and building will not do anything to limit the amount of outside visitors from using the pool. Not even during the height of covid. 5. Noise. Don't plan on management doing anything about your loud neighbors. 6. I will say the previous front desk people were nice. They let them all go and the new ones could care less 7. People let their dogs pee off the balcony. I have yellow stains on the outside of my window from dog pee. Regularly see where dogs have gone to the bathroom in the elevator (when its working)
First time living in a city setting it’s pretty great
It has been an amazing experience living at skyhouse. Love the apartment and the views it offers. The skydeck and rooftop pool are amazing as well and so are the other facilities like gym and library. What has amazed me the most tough has been the concierge service and also the maintenance team. Always good to have the concierge welcome you back with a smile and help you with what you need. The maintenance team has been top notch as well helping fix issues within the expected timeframe
The views are outstanding and the service I’ve received so far is great!
I absolutely loved this apartment complex, the views were amazing & Wayne was AWESOME. I wish I could call Skyhouse my home but the rent is out of my budget. Hoping I can lease with you guys next year. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
The folks here are incredible! I've never had a single issue
Would bc it's convenient downtown living, walking distance to Victory Park. Would not bc the studio is too small for 2 people and the neighbors are NOT respectful of noise.....
Really like this property, but opted for an apartment closer to work
Elevator fiasco at move out, requiring me to use an auxiliary elevator instead of the freight elevator for move out and drawing out time it took my hourly rate movers to complete the job, costing me a higher fee and added stress of coordinating residents away from my “reserved” elevator.
Elevator problem every week is not very good for residents' safety and convenience. Corridor areas are never vacuumed. Maintenance staff are the best!
SHD is a great community. I enjoyed my time there.
Very professional, friendly, and cool guy. He really made me feel good just from interacting with him alone. Also, he fixed the issue so fast that it didn't interrupt my day.
Wayne was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. He made the experience easy and enjoyable.
The issues were addressed but were not fixed long term.
I lived at the Skyhouse for just over a year and had a terrible experience. The walls are very thin therefor I could hear absolutely everything happening next door. They also allow drugs to be used in the apartment so entire halls will smell of drugs and "there is nothing they can do about it" (according to management). One of my neighbors had a sub-woofer that consistently vibrated the wall between our apartment all hours of the day and management did "all they could do" which resulted in the continuation of me being woke up every morning at 3am because of the noise. I moved out and notified corporate of the issue but they told me the logs looked as if the noise complaints had stopped... obviously i stopped calling down because I moved out. The elevators NEVER work. There were many occasions where the garage elevators stopped working completely and I would have to climb 8 flights of stairs up to my car just to leave to go to work. There are 3 elevators inside the building that are consistently broken as well. During a usual week only 1 of the 3 is working for the entire building which means... you aren't going anywhere fast. I would often wait 20 minutes for an elevator ride up (I totally would have take the stairs but they keep the doors locked so you can't). Due to these problems I tried to leave and get out of my lease because the living situation was just too much to handle but at the end of the day they are a company who bottom line only cares about money and not their residence, so I'm currently still paying rent at the property but got the heck out!
Maybe have a better solution for guest parking. I still see many residents parking in the first floor guest spots, which makes it difficult to bring guests over.
Great place to call home! Love the location and staff!
I think Skyhouse is a great building, but I could not recommend it because of how often the elevators break down! The parking is also extremely annoying- people constantly park over the lines and take up more than one spot and nothing has been done about it despite all the emails.
This place is amazing and in an amazing location with amazing views of Dallas!
A couple of the concierge (SAM) and another who had recently been fired (Austin) are SOOO RUDE makes me hate going home bc typically ESPECIALLY the new guy SAM HES SO RUDE!! To myself & all my guest. I have text msgs to prove from friends sayin your desk ppl so rude
would recommend based on the view, friendliness of front desk staff, cleanliness/appearance of amenities. the main thing i wouldn't recommend based on is parking. for guests, it's almost impossible for them to get parking after 6. this is a huge issue. for myself, so many spots are compact spaces that people end up using them regardless. it would make more sense to have less overall spaces and make them all usable.
I would recommend the units and location. Hesitant if they like to entertain guests (no parking) or even have someone that needs to visit regularly (boyfriend). Would recommend for concierge and luxury living
Elevators were very slow and one or two would be not working a lot of the time
The technician was really nice and fixed my problem quickly.
This community is exactly what w're looking for in a lot of ways, however, the features in the apartments felt a bit out dated compared to competitors in the area. Still very much under consideration though. And Lexi was fantastic!!!
elevators were a really big issue when you live on the 21st floor and they were always broke.
The maintenance team is one of the best parts of living in this building.
Extremely nice facilities and rooms. Location is convenient for my work and American Airlines, but there is not much else around
