Thanks so much for your great review and we are happy to hear that you plan on renewing your lease in 2025!
Skyhouse has been a breath of fresh air after dealing with so many horrible living situations. The community is nice, people are friendly and I love to get a free view of pets :)

Thank you so much for your review! We are happy to hear that you are enjoying your time here at Skyhouse!
Pro: beautiful view; love the apartment layout Cons: Dirty floors; dirty elevators; dirty loading dock; dirty walls; one elevator is frequently out of order and the service elevator might be locked for move-ins/outs, which means one elevator for the building

Thank you for your review! I am happy to report that since Greystar has taken over, we have gotten the fire pit operational again, replaced the pool heater and successfully received our year-round pool permit and worked with the parking garage company to get the gate arms operational again. We are also under contract for renovations on Level 23 and will soon be replacing the flooring in the hallway, in addition to putting some fresh paint on the walls. For the elevators, we have engaged a consultant to hopefully get those up and running 24/7! Again, thank you for sharing your concerns and we hope that these refreshes will increase value in your experience here at Skyhouse
This apartment building is in an amazing location, surrounded by excellent restaurants, a square with lots of activities, and walking distance to the Amtrak station. It also has beautiful views and an incredible lobby with excellent concierge service. It is an older building so you can’t expect everything to be perfect and up-to-date as you would see in a new apartment building. But for a downtown city location, it cannot be beat.

I have lived here 1 and 1/2 years. I love the convenient location and the views from Skyhouse. We have a lovely Skydeck, with 2 grills and a firepit for winter. However, the building desperately needs refreshing. The carpets are disgustingly dirty. Over the past couple of months, the elevators have had paint dribbled on the floor and walls/doors are scuffed badly. The TV in the yoga/pilates room has not worked for several months so you cannot stream workouts there. I could go on, but hopefully you get the picture.

Moore Square used to be a great area and now the homeless and gang population has gotten really unsafe, especially for single females. The leasing staff is terrible and rude. There are MUCH better apartment complexes and high-rises in better areas where the staff actually care about the residents.

Overall, I have had considerably mixed feelings about my two years at Skyhouse Raleigh. The views are great, without a doubt. Concierge and the staff, in general, are all very friendly and helpful for the most part, including the maintenance staff. However, there are problems with noise pollution. I have had my share of rude neighbors who constantly *slam* their doors and have lead feet. I have heard some horror stories from another resident who ended up having to have the police called on someone who was a constant disturbance despite submitting several complaints beforehand. It should have never gotten to this point for them. It can be severe in colder climates. The frigid temperatures seem to cause openings in the balcony doors, which lets in a lot of outside noise pollution. That is on top of the elevators which can too be loud at times (to the point you can feel them vibrating the walls). The portal software which is used to send rent payments and submit maintenance requests is buggy. I have had my share of issues with the software, most recently where I could not log in to send my payment properly and ended up getting stuck with a late fee because of it, then told that I could no longer provide payments using the portal system. My rent has increased significantly since I first moved in. The first time it increased, I was offered the same free months rent incentive if I signed a lease for another year, or a 6-month lease with no increase in rent. This year, I was told I would not be given the same offer, and on top of that, if I was to opt for a 6-month lease this year my rent would be increased $100/month. Skyhouse staff have started hosting pool parties and the likes again, which produce noise so loud it is constantly vibrating my walls in every room of my apartment all throughout the day. If this becomes a problem like it was my first year at Skyhouse again, I plan to terminate my lease and seek residency elsewhere. So overall, very mixed feelings. There are times when I have loved it here, but now it has become incredibly frustrating. If you're into constant partying and don't mind constant noise and the smell of pot lingering in your apartments occassionally, this could be a great place for you. But if you're a young professional truly trying to go somewhere with your life, I would recommend looking elsewhere. This was NOT the kind of environment I was promised, and I've started to regret moving here again this year.
I love living here. I never want to leave. There is a long list of great things I can share with you about this place after living here for the past six months. Here are a few. Maintenance requests are always handled with exceptional speed. Same day service is normal. I have not had very many requests, but the ones that I have submitted have 100% been completed as expected and quickly. To call the rooftop pool amazing is an understatement. It is awesome to float in a clean saltwater pool 250 feet above downtown Raleigh while drinking a cold beer and listening to a first class sound system. They also have TVs on the pool deck, which is an ideal place to watch football. The grills and fireplace on the other side of the roof are also very nice. The exercise room is always clean and they keep the AC at the right temp. Extra points for having wireless Internet in there. I can take my iPad and watch Netflix while doing my cardio. The apartment itself is my favorite part. I love looking out my floor to ceiling 10 foot windows at the city skyline. The real hardwood floors are super classy. The exposed cement ceiling gives it a modern feel like no place I have seen. The granite countertops and stainless steel appliances are very sophisticated. Everyone that lives here that I have met so far is friendly. This place is all around the best of the best. I can't wait for next summer to party on the roof again.
We moved to the SkyHouse Raleigh in May 2015 and LOVE IT! Pros: * Great office staff especially Kristel, Daniel, and Allyson. I don't know the others * The maintenance and the security staff are really good. It is a third party company supplying 24 security. MOST of them are pleasant and helpful. Selena is very competent, pleasant represents the building with class. * The parking is acceptably convenient. It's covered parking and RIGHT next door with covered walkway between. * It has smokin' views from many apartments. * The roof deck views are stunning and are the location of the gym, pool, clubhouse and outdoor kitchen. * The selection of local restaurants, parks, museums and concert venues is amazing. CONS: * It's a new building with all new staff. At the beginning there was SOME adjustment period while they figured out how to work together and accommodate the unique challenges of the Raleigh location. It gets better EVERY day. * Some of the tenants are a little whiny and impatient. They OBVIOUSLY have never lived in a highrise apt. It has unique problems but, fantastic benefits. Relax people you are not that important. * They still need to resolve how they deal with visitors. I've lived in several high rises in major cities. The solution is not quite here. I don't mind the level of security. I rarely even lock my door during the day when home. * The compressor for the air conditioner is on your balcony. Luckily it's not a really loud one. They did this to avail the rooftop for the amenities. Also, you don't want to live in a building with shared air of any kind. TRUST ME ON THAT ONE! ¡MOVE IN IT'S A GAS!
Skyhouse offers luxury amenities, cool modern apartments with amazing views of downtown and beyond, great staff, and the location can't be beat! I absolutely love living here! 4 stars instead of 5 because it's a brand new building and they are still working out the kinks, the units are on the small side, and the price is at the top of the market.
