Tucked away between the Muir Woods and northern San Francisco Bay sits the quiet little city of Larkspur. Residents enjoy a small-town vibe with an upscale modern flair. San Francisco is only about thirty minutes away by car, and the Golden Gate Ferry service connects the two cities via Larkspur Landing as well. Larkspur’s few schools earn high marks, the local crime rate is low, and the restaurant scene rivals much larger cities. Outdoorsy types will love large public parks in town, as well as the nearby access to northern California’s massive coastal nature preserves.

Property Ratings at Skylark Apartments
This is a wonderful residential area with a nice environment and I'd like to express my gratitude to the office, Chanel and Mike were very helpful and attentive during my move-in.

Thank you for the positive review. Our team is dedicated to making sure residents feel cared for, and your feedback motivates us to keep up the good work.
I toured the property recently and it was good to see you can get a 2 bedroom for just over $3K. The size of the units is pretty good. Some have nature views. The finishes are clean and basic. If you want a clean safe place to live this seems like a decent choice. If you are looking for luxury or high end touches - keep looking. The staff seemed nice but beware of the golf cart tour if you get car sick easily! Lots of hills and turns!!!
Prime group is absolute trash. My apartment flooded from the dishwasher and sink and ruined my appliances and random electronics. It took 9 days to get someone to come out and clean the bacteria infested black water from the plumbing issues which flooded twice! They will not respond to emails and have yet to respond about my appliances. It’s not worth it. Currently going through small claims court.

Lived at skylark for about 5 years. The new management (Prime Group US) have been awful. I moved out a couple months ago and have yet to receive my security deposit. No response from emails or phone calls. They ignore you and will increase your rent without notice. Beautiful location but will come at a price. I wouldn’t live here again due to poor management

I recently toured Skylark. It’s beautiful! The newly renovated homes are just gorgeous. I love the lounge area and pools! I called to ask some follow up questions and Sarah was a delight to interact with. She was very informative and so patient with all of my questions! Hoping to make the move within the next few months!
I have struggled to find an appropriately priced 2 bedroom in North Bay. So glad I found this location. The views to all the apartments I saw were fantastics. The staff were incredibly friendly and informative about the space. Very happy we signed a lease here!!
1. Walls and floors are thin. 2. Things get stolen 3. Top level Units get extemely hot 115 degrees in the summer so you have to leave for hot days and fire season 4. Office is inept at any type of help.
I would give this apartment 0 stars if I could. I have been living in building 13 and this has not been a great experience moving into my first apartment. Since I moved in I have received one noise complaint after another, literally for walking too loudly in the apartment. If you want to live here you have to be very quiet. The landlord told me that the apartment was newly renovated but there are issues with the sliding door, fridge door handle, bathroom door, and more. When contacting the landlord to have something fixed it can take weeks for the landlord to get back to you. It has been absolutely impossible to find a way to coexist with neighbors in this building. In addition, the apartment is always cold even with the heater on! I look forward to choosing a better place to live next time.
I love Skylark. I've been here for many years and there are many redeeming features about the complex and the location. However, my apartment was over 105 degrees these past few days during the heat wave. Yes, it was hotter than outside. I know I'm not the only one. I've spoken to many others on the property who talk about our third floor units being uninhabitable. Many people are forced to leave during the day because you can't be home due to the heat. Management has installed the air conditioning units in their office (for their own comfort) that we've requested to install at our expense in our apartments and we've continually been told no. They tell us we can install window units that aren't large enough to effectively cool our apartments and would block airflow from all windows except the sliding door. Or, for people like myself, I live in a building that actually has air conditioning in the interior hall so I've been told 'just open your front door.' Not a solution! Plus, why provide air conditioning in a hallway and not in living environments? You know all these public health advisories go out about avoiding excessive heat especially for the elderly, children, and pets. I'm not sure what it's going to take--someone dying from excessive heat in one of the 3rd floor Units for them to take this seriously? I have more fans than you can imagine. I have to put ice blocks out for my pet so it doesn't die. It's wound up at the vet w/heat exhaustion and required subcutaneous fluid due to dehydration and overheating from being inside in the heat. Even knowing this they don't seem to care. I have solar shades. I have tinted film on my windows. I've tried everything and they continue to turn a blind eye on the health hazards of their Units. So if you're considering moving here and they tell you 'it sometimes gets warm' they're lying. They know how hot it gets. I've considered filing a complaint with the Department of Public Health because it's getting to a point where the heat is a health hazard and is making our living environment truly uninhabitable.
