Property Ratings at Skyline Heights Apartments
Management lets people smoke in units - in violation of their own policies. If your unit is above a smoker, the smoke will go into your apartment and it will be uninhabitable and the management will do absolutely nothing about it.
I like living here because of the location. It's close to everything, especially my work. Parking is not a problem for us. We live close to the gate so we have the option to park outside the gate. We managed to park our 4 cars. My husband and I each have 2 cars. The staff are all very accommodating. Office staff Derek and maintenance staff are all amazing people.
The staff has changed since I moved in almost 2 years ago, and they are not only unhelpful but also rude and unprofessional. The reviews about mold are true, especially around windows, which there are 2 of so it's usually dark and has no air circulation. And if you love listening to barking dogs all day, this is the place for you. As it is one of the few complexes that allow dogs, almost everyone here has them. And not all dog owners should own dogs. The barking starts in the morning and continues all day until someone comes home to finally pay attention to the animal. And forget about people actually cleaning up after their dogs. I've had 2 cars vandalised in the parking lot, one with eggs and another I've had broken into and a bag stole, not too mention the stolen packages left at doors. No cameras on property and parking is at your own risk, so nothing can be done. My lease is up in 2 months and moving out can't come soon enough.
Moving from Houston,TX, the prices here were a shock. My $800 apartment in TX was so much better than this $2000 apartment here. Anyway... Renovated apartment looks nice. New black stove/oven, microwave, and silver fridge. Faux marble countertop in kitchen and bathroom. Living room is spacious but no balcony, and our only windows have absolutely no view. There are bushes touching our windows and nothing to see past them. You get one designated parking spot even though two of us signed the lease. Guest parking is VERY limited. Fitness center is usually empty, so is the pool because its cold and cloudy almost every day. Overall, average place if you have the money, but I probably wont renew my lease because the city doesnt feel like I thought the typical Cali would with all the clouds and cold weather. Ps. Management is really nice and accommodating too.
I love this location. Close to everything you can want in the bay area. Ocean, bay, city, airport. It's all within a 10 min drive. Apartments are nice with all the amenities. My window looks out to the Golden Gate Bridge and great neighbors. For the price I give this place 4 stars.
This unit looks good for the money. It's convenient to shopping and the airport. The flexible lease agreement is a bonus.
