Balancing close proximity to San Francisco, miles of stunning Pacific coastline, and wooded hills all around, Pacifica residents enjoy one of the most desirable locations in the Bay Area. The rugged landscape of San Pedro Valley Park and Sweeney Ridge envelop and overlap much of the upscale suburban community, making it an ideal city for folks who love hiking and mountain biking.
The local arts community is quite active, with live music, theater performances, and gallery shows happening constantly. To top it all off, San Francisco is less than thirty minutes up Interstate 280, making it easy to get into The City for work or just to take advantage of the urban landscape as change of scenery.

Property Ratings at Skyline Vista
I have been living in this apartment complex for two years. It underwent major renovations the first year I was here, and those changes priced out a lot of the old tenants. Still, there are many people here who have been in the apartment complex longer and everyone I've interacted with are friendly and polite. Pacifica is foggy in the summer, but has been unusually clear the rest of the year since we moved, and we have fantastic views of the Bay. It is wonderful driving down the hill to get to the ocean, and getting to go to the ocean (and sometimes see whales) in order to visit the post office, grocery shop, go to Walgreens, etc. is great. The apartments have a great design with built-in washer/dryer, large bedrooms, and large open living room, dining space, and kitchen. There are only 4 units per building, so you only have adjoining walls on two sides. That means it is generally quiet. They will raise the rent each year, and it has gone up about $150 each time, but that may taper as housing slows down in the bay area. In terms of negatives, some people do not clean up after their dogs in the grassy/bbq areas, and parking for guests is usually down the street since there are no guest parking spaces anymore. Heating can be expensive because the apartment's design includes huge open windows. I don't mind the cost, because most of the year those windows afford me a great view, and we always get so much natural light. If you don't like fog, you shouldn't look in Pacifica. That includes making sure you don't let mildew grow in the apartment, a warning every apartment complex in Pacifica will give you (and which requires very basic common sense like leaving the fan on when you shower, closing the windows when it's foggy, etc.).
Great location and very large living area and bedrooms are a good size. Expect a lot of MOLD and mildew. And when you complain about it, expect to be told that it's normal for the location and blame it on Pacifica weather. Then they will say that it's the tenants responsibility to clean it up. Bugs, yes bugs!! I've seen the terminix truck parked outside numerous times and when I finally asked the one of the young workers, he told me there's a wood beetle infestation for the past two years. Gross!! Apparently the management knows about this. Maintenance takes forever and almost always has to come back because, the job really never gets done in the first place until you nag about it for months. Overall, Management doesn't care about you living in a nice environment, they just want you to pay rent on time even though nothing much gets done in a timely manner on their part. Neighbors mostly all suck. Seriously, everyone is pretty new here, (eldest tenant has been here maybe two years) and when you say "hello" they all look at you like you're an alien. Do yourself a favor and don't say hello or good morning or anything, otherwise you'll end up feeling pretty dumb for being polite. Parking has gotten better, they are now finally assigning spaces for everyone, and you can also purchase an extra space for about $50-$75 monthly. However, your great neighbors I mentioned will most likely double park or block your space, leaving you with no other choice but to honk forever until your given a dirty look from the person blocking you as they move. Do yourself a favor and look for another place to live.
I lived her for over 20yrs and they are always making changes and improvements and I love that. I love how they have transformed our grassy area into a relaxing Bbq area. The location is very easy to find and hard to miss. The corner store provides a convenience of not having to drive to any other store for something quick.
