Starkville is what you’d call a college town for sure. Home to a large student population focused on academics and sports, this city also houses numerous apartments near cool amenities. As you probably guessed, the gem of Starkville is Mississippi State University which is surrounded by bars, mom-and-pop eateries, boutiques, and bookstores.
When you live in Starkville, you’ll notice when the entire community gears up for game day. “Hail State” is a common greeting that echoes throughout the town, and it’s safe to say that a great deal of the community revolves around college sports like football. Locals, alumni, and visitors alike are often tailgating before a big game. On game day eves, New South Weekends in Starkville offer tons of activities from wine tastings to block parties.
MSU and surrounding neighborhoods have a lot of art and culture offerings. The Lyceum Series, presented by the university, features concerts, dance recitals, and musicals throughout the year.

There was and still is a lot of things wrong with the apartment. Apartment not a bad place to live, but I was moved into an apartment with air/heat not working, mold under counter. Just unacceptable.

You know what? It truly not a bad place to live. I live in the townhomes and there are some potholes that need to be fixed. My only problem is that my work order was submitted time ago, yet there has been no effort made to fix the problem by the staff. There are fun community events hosted by the staff.

Honestly I am very happy with the social block townhomes. The office is friendly and the spaces are good sized just wish maintenance responded quicker

The Social Block is a great little place for college students. It’s not far from campus, it’s on a bus route, and it’s not super expensive. Not only are the office staff helpful and polite, but they host fun events throughout the year. I have enjoyed my stay so far.
This apartment complex has been a delightful place to call home. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with any concerns. My experience being here 3 years now has beeen exceptional. Helpful staff and lots off amenities. Have a gym, dog park, and a pool. Plus everything is so close. I am surely going to renew my lease when the time comes.

It’s gotten a lot better since I’ve moved from the apartments to the townhomes. It’s so much of a better space to be in. I enjoy less drama and an to my person and I got to pick my roommate ! I love it. I’m happy with this choice so far!
Leasing office was very nice but apartment was a mess. Looks like somebody had just moved out the day before i came. They Had to push back my move in date twice.
I love my apartment because it's cozy and filled with natural light. It's my sanctuary where I can relax, create music, and enjoy my hobbies.

it is affordable, but maintenance and getting in contact with front office is difficult. pest issues as well as packages tends to go missing.

Small hiccups with my initial apartment, no working A/C and cleanliness issues. I was able to move to a different apartment but now I’m waiting to have the washer and dryer installed. Management have been helpful in this process.
It’s been great so far. I haven’t had any problems. It’s not too noisy and it’s pretty clean outside. I like how events are hosted for residents even though I haven’t had the chance to attend one, but I think it’s a great way to give back to residents.

not at all what was advertised but it’s easy to adjust. bug in my room when i moved it but haven’t seen any since. very dirty floors though.

Our apartment was a little dirty upon move in, but nothing we couldn’t handle. The community is nice, and the office workers make sure to make you comfortable as you adjust. The only real complaint I have is the damage done to our apartment before we moved in and the time it takes for maintenance to come by even on emergency issues. Now, it isn’t their faults as they’re vastly understaffed, but something to be aware of before you move in.
Best affordable place to live at nice community good neighborhood no need for a gym membership gym on sight keep updated on upcoming work and events going on love it !!!

I live in 110 Lincoln green, Starkville. That is a pretty good place to live in peacefully. I stay in 4 bed 2 bath house. I like the living room it is spacious and we all hang out there.

nice, clean place. very friendly staff and pretty cool roommates. The gym is nice as well. oh, and on move-in day they gave us a 10$ gift card for uber eats which really came in handy. the resident portal is very easy to access and work as well. 10/10

So far it has been good except there have been a few bumps during move-in. My roommate and I had to get our keys remade 3 separate times each because they wouldn’t work. The back door is slanted so it will not open. Additionally, we were told that wifi was included with our rent but are just now being told that it is not included. There have been numerous fees that we were not originally told about.

My unit is super cool, much better than my old place, I like the amenities on the property too, office is also nice, ofc there's always maintenance issues and whatnot but thats basically expected nowadays

I really like this community however when I moved in it seemed my apartment was not inspected before I came as many of the fixtures were broken or leaking.

The Social Block is a comfy place to stay with low rent good for a broke college student. The coffee and pool are very nice for relaxing. The living room and kitchen are a decent size and the individual rooms have enough space for storage. Not to mention, it is close to campus.

my ac was broken and they didnt fix it for 6 months. it stopped in february which is winter and it wasn't fixed all the way till boiling 100 degrees in july
