Well-known for its shopping, Keystone is home to the Fashion Mall. But that isn't the only reason people are moving to this popular Indy suburb -- it also offers great schools, a variety of restaurants and entertainment venues, and it is close to the highway. Keystone is located near the junction of 86th and Keystone Avenue, a northern suburb of Indianapolis. With the White River flowing along the neighborhood's east side and several lakes in and around the neighborhood, residents of Keystone enjoy outdoor activities like fishing and boating almost as frequently as they enjoy shopping.

Property Ratings at Solana Apartments
This is my first apartment and it is the best choice I have EVER made. Staff is awesome, I feel safe, and they complex is very giving to their community! Social gatherings, food trucks, even the monthly newsletter keeps you informed about what is going on in the apartments. Parking can be a challenge but it’s worth it!
DO NOT MOVE HERE! They are expensive ran down apartments!! The maintenance and upkeep is very poor! For the price I feel we should get the luxury they cut corners on all repairs. First day I moved in I had to pay pest control for fleas in carpet because they refused to, bathroom toilet wasn't working and still not working they came out and still did not properly fix it, carpet old and ran down refused to replace, kitchen oven didn't work for months, dryer didn't work for months. They are full of apologies and no actions. Fridge had dents should've been replaced and cabinets was glued together from previous tenants broken!! DO NOT MOVE HERE!
They received our deposit and avoided us for 2 weeks. We declined when they sent an email stating our move in date. Six months later they're claiming of insufficient funds and sent us to collections. We've provided receipts and bank statements with proof that not only did we have the funds but it was processed and approved and deposit into their account. Don't move in here, worst customer service.
Property Manager at Solana Apartments, Responded To This Review
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that was caused with your application for Solana Apartments at the Crossing. We understand how frustrating situations like these can be. Our goal is to always provide our customers with the best service possible and hope that the actions we have since taken resolved this issue for you.
I am very disappointed with the management, the unfair way residents are treated, and the forceful nature of problem resolution that in my opinion is illegal. I think the property owners needs to look into the actions of managers before it becomes a greater issue. I wouldn't be writing this if it wasn't a multitude of instances, an error here or there is acceptable but what they do to residents is just wrong. With that being said I really enjoy the apartment itself, the staff is great and the maintenance individuals are okay, it is when the issue gets differed to the manager that the headaches and lack of concern come in. It is for this reason that people grow to hate this place, never recommend to others, and don't want to come back. If this issue isn't resolved then the apartment will continue to struggle and have a bad reviews and upset residences.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our property. While we are thrilled to hear that you enjoy our staff and the community itself, we are disappointed to hear that some of your interactions have not lived up to your expectations. We strive to keep our residents happy and satisfied with every staff interaction. We would love the opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have in more detail in person. Thanks again for the feedback.
I'm currently a resident here at Solana and I can say without a doubt that moving here was a mistake. I made the assumption that I was moving into a safe, gated community with a higher standard of living. That is not what I've gotten in my time here though. Instead I have struggled with noisy rich kid neighbors that just throw their garbage of their balcony so it strewns about the entire complex. In the span of only moving in less than 6 months ago and somehow almost everything has broken somehow. So not only am I paying far too much but it's for a badly built apartment. The leasing office is a joke; will never return calls or answer questions when I've had them. I had one night I came home after grabbing dinner with my partner and the lock literally fell out of the door. We were locked outside for over an hour in the cold. Also, READ YOUR LEASE BEFORE YOU SIGN! I made that mistake while co-signing and was appalled at the rates this place charges for every hole you put in the wall or every little scuff or scrtach; not to mention the debacle this past month where they charged me rent twice! Yep that's right over $2,000 of my own taken because they are a negligent business proprietor. Lastly is parking. Oh my god it is possibly the worst I've ever dealt with. I've been towed (as a resident) for parking in a center lane when every spit was taken in the complex (which now happen nightly) and my only option is to walk about 1/2 a mile to my own apartment. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I have been a resident at Solana at the Crossing Apartments since the end of September and I have never been happier. I have lived in many apartments throughout my life and this is the first one that I can say truly feels like a home. The office staff is fantastic, they go above and beyond each and every time, and they truly care. Maintenance is fantastic. They are prompt and do their best to fix the problem right then and there. The apartment itself is beautiful and the amenities are great! Thank you Solana for making me feel so welcome.
This complex looks nice but has too many flaws to count. The management staff is rude and unwilling to help its residents. They make up their own office hours everyday. There have been numerous burglaries in the complex including my apartment. When I told them about it I never heard back from them. Parking is a nightmare. If you come home after 5pm you can't find a spot within the gates. They have been told by residents multiple times that there is a parking problem and have yet to come up with a solution other than having residents pay $150 for garages. However all of the garages are full. You couldn't pay me to live here!! I am counting down the days until my lease is up. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
This complex has gone through three management changes in the year and a half I have lived here. I feel that the most recent management is finally getting things all straightened out, but there have been some bumps along the way. My husband and I have not had too much issue, but have heard of some robberies on sight, complaints of management being unwilling to work with residents, and have witnessed many smokers in a supposedly smoke free facility. We now have security during the day, and our broken gate has finally been fixed. The grounds are kept nicely, and there are many friendly people with pets. We like it here but feel it could be much better for the price we pay to be here.
I lived here for over 2 years and it was the worst experience of my life! Parking is a pain as there are not enough spaces for all of the tenants. If you get home late from work you most likely will not be able to find a parking spot. Maintenance comes and goes as they please and at times are negligent and leave your door unlocked. There have been numerous reported burglaries at the complex and management does not even have the audacity to alert their tenants! Complex is like a college dorm, where you wake up in the morning and there are beer cans at your feet. On top of that, management is rude, unresponsive and incompetent. Definitely don’t recommend living here if you value your belongings and your sanity!
This is actually a dangerous place to live. No only do the apartments get burglarized frequently without tenants being notified but also the front office staff is not supportive or helpful at all in these situations. Many times when issues arose the staff was "unavailable" for help. Emails had to be sent and responses often took days. Maintenance came and went without notification. Deposits are almost never refunded even when apartment is left in pristine condition. The office staff does not seem to have a handle on charges and refunds and often the tenant is left being double billed. Three separate times the office was closed on Sunday when it states clearly their Sunday hours are 12-4pm during non-holiday times. These times were not holiday times and yet the office was closed without notification to tenants. The parking lot does not have enough spaces for tenants. If you arrive home late in the evenings you are often stuck without a parking spot and driving around for a while trying to find something safe and suitable. Overall i would not recommend this place. There are too many factors and stressors which make living here more of a nightmare than a comfortable and safe place to call home.
I have lived at Solana for 11 months and just signed a lease for another year. I am young professional and most of my neighbors seem to fit this age group as well. Being new to Indy, I think it is conveniently located near 465 and Broad Ripple/Monon Trail area and it is easy to get anywhere in the city. I love my apartment. It is very spacious, plenty of closet storage and kitchen shelf space that my roommate and I don't even use in it's entirety. We have a nice view of the river and overall our complex is quiet, which I appreciate. My apartment is fairly modern. My spacious kitchen and kitchen island is my favorite part about living in my apartment. Maintenance is not always quick to respond or helpful. Once we had issues with our dish washer not draining properly and causing a foul smell after a few days and maintenance took their time to respond and fix it (months...). When I first moved in I was under the impression that this was a 'gated community' but the gate was not installed till after 9 months of living here. My neighbor was robbed, as were multiple residences. This was terrifying, cops were patrolling daily after these incidences. But as of July 2015 the gate is up and we have scan cards to get in so I feel safer now.
The apartments look great, and they are very spacious. Shortly after moving in there was a management change and it was not a smooth transition. We put in a request for the garbage disposal not working, causing water to build up in the sink, that request was put in around 7 months ago.... good thing for use there is the wonderful internet where you can learn how to do just about anything yourself. All in all it isn't terrible here, just don't expect much
