Terrible experience. Do not rent here, the whole building has water leak issues and smells like mold and mildew.
Horrible, do not come live here! Save your money and go somewhere else, place is unclean and in state of disrepair.
The management team is very deficient. I have seen the deterioration of the property in all aspects. The operational structure must be evaluated and redesigned. The management culture at the office is based upon misinformation and lies.

Solmar on Sixth provides a great opportunity to live very close to downtown Fort Lauderdale. The price of living at solmar is not as expensive as nearby apartments and you don’t experience a huge lapse in amenities.

Unfortunately, the property is on a downward spiral and it seems like no one cares. The management team fails at communication. The potential is there; however, the effort is not.

Solmar on Sixth is a wonderful place to live. The location and on site team are fantastic. The building is older so it definitely needs some upgrading which, as I understand, is already underway or will be soon. Overall I am very satisfied living here and I can’t wait to see the way this building transforms. The team in the office is doing a great job!

Underwhelming. Feels like this is the runt of Flagler village apartments. Dirty elevators, unresponsive staff. Didn’t even bother to register us for the Amazon locker (concierge said they don’t bother to do this for anyone till they ask) when we moved in or respond to my email asking about how to set up the internet. Furthermore, I was given a FOB that doesn’t even work at move in.

How this building has 4 stars is beyond me. The building is extremely dirty, the new lighter floors they put in really show off how poorly they clean. They’re covered in dirt, and people never clean up if their dog has an accident on them. There was once a dead cockroach sitting in the hallway for weeks. The parking garage is covered in trash. I wish I could upload the picture I have. It smells so bad that you can smell it just from walking past the garage from the sidewalk and it’s starting to seep into the hallways. The key fobs never work. Either the doors don’t open or the doors are always open so anyone can just walk in off the street. When you tell them they say it’s being worked on for weeks and when it’s finally fixed it maybe works for a few days. You’re forced to use some bootleg overpriced internet company that has constant outages. The walls are so thin that you can here dogs barking all around you and every step the people above you take. They’ve been running fans and dehumidifiers in the hallways non stop for weeks. Not really sure what that’s about maybe mold but who knows. I’m looking forward to my lease ending. I wouldn’t stay here even if they lowered my rent price.

I love Solmar. Because of work and family, I've had to move several times, but I always come back. I've had 4 apartments here and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I love my apartment in Solmar, but there are a few issues for me. Maintenance can be difficult when it not a quick issue. Office has went through multiple staff since the short time I lived here, and feeling isn’t as welcoming anymore. When lea was there she was great at communicating with residents, And not having them feel like just another number.

We cannot recommend Solmar on Sixth for others to rent here. Other Greystar properties may be better maintained and run by management who care and want to excel at their jobs. The management here does not seem concerned with exceeding expectations or their lack of customer service skills.

We just moved in recently and already love calling this place home. The apartment was super clean upon move in, the neighborhood is awesome, and the entire staff is so welcoming and accommodating. Thank you Kay, Alecia, Matt, and Lei for making us feel at home. The parking garage is spacious and secure with a gate. The gym and pool are clean and well up-kept. Hallways are clean and quiet. We are so glad we chose here to be home!

Moved in in Oct’21 and aside from pet owners not picking up after their dogs, we were content here. Then neighbors moved into apartment above us in Jan’22, and everything quickly went down hill. Sent several emails to management complaining about the noise after 11pm, not one email ever was replied to. Neighbors have a kid that probably sleeps during the day and jumps, stumps and runs most nights until 2am. They also do laundry in the middle of the night, constantly move furniture around and caused water to leak into our apartment by leaving the bathtub water running (the crack in the ceiling is still not repaired 3 weeks after the incident). In addition to emails, we have talked to the people in the leasing office in 3 different occasions and all I’ve been told is that there is supposed to be no noise after 10pm and that there have been other complaints. We are sleep deprived, and the situation has altered our functioning and wellbeing. We would be happy to stay if the situation is resolved, however, we’ve lost all faith on managements willingness to resolve the issue.

Almost 8 years at Solmar and plan to renew again. I've never had a reason not to want to renew. Through the different management teams I've always had my grievances listened to and addressed. That speaks volume in and of itself. Recent remodels have spruced up the place. A few final touches could take it to that next level. Overall, I wouldn't live anywhere else in this community.

Noisy building, hardwood floors so you can hear all your neighbors business. Windows and doors have poor soundproofing. Lots of random fire alarms in the middle of the night, lots of Wi-Fi outages. Not a good place for peace and quiet.

I have lived here for a few years. The the cleanliness of the building is very poor. I have seen roaches in the hallways. The grills don't work. The grounds are not kept clean and nice anymore

Aside from a few minor issues, the experience has been a positive one. My main concern was the level noise moving from a house to an apartment but we have not had any issues. I follow several of the other apartment buildings in the area and I hope Solmar hosts as many community activities here as they do in theirs.

Nice enough, management awful, sound proofing from the hallways is pretty poor. Hope you dont get a yappy dog near you, cause you will hear it.

The internet here is provided by a third party called direct plus and it is very expensive and slow. The comuns areas use Xfinity and who lives here need to use this crap internet and we can not change for another one. If you need a good internet to work or gaming or both don’t move to here.

The building is up to date on the decor and I love the new look and decor. Mike the manager is one of the best managers Ive ever came across. He is extremely efficient on everything and always pleasant and attentive on all issues.

Doors are always broken. I have been here for almost a year and on average the building fore alarm goes off at least once a month late at night. I am not even home that often and I can honestly say it is an average of once a month. The loading door is always broken open, you market it as a secure building yet I have promotional flyers jammed in m my door on a weekly basis. The doors are either broken open or shut so I have to wonder around the building to find one that will let me in. Figure out how to stop the flooding in the garage. I have friends that live in the other complexes in flagger village that have not seen their garage flood. This place has more water in the garage for a week than the pool. I am embarrassed to admit I live here. You have done a wonderful job on creating a grossly inaccurate portrayal of a luxury apartment complex. The online portal to pay your bills barely works on a good day, I am not sure if that is intentional to ensure you sign up for autopay to ensure you dont have to endure the terrible endeavor of trying to actively pay you bills or what.

Hi, it's upsetting to hear that your experience was anything but stellar.
Multiple doors to enter buildings have been broken for a month now as well as elevators in the building being down. They closed the online payment system with 1 days notice a week before rent is due and expect people to pay early or to pay with cashiers check during a pandemic. Amenities hardly ever work, leasing staff is less than helpful if they are even in the office. Cannot wait to move out.

This has been my worst experience. I have lived in 10 states and this is the first time I truly feel I need to speak up in terms of housing. My motorcycle was stolen out of the parking lot which is private. There are cameras at the entrance gate for in and out, however I was never able to see footage for "privacy reasons". I made the report to the police, which they told me they couldn't release the video unless the Solmar approves it, which they didn't. However, by me seeing the videos, if I would see the vehicles in downtown or other areas, perhaps I could identify them later on, but now I lost my 15k motorcycle. I did not receive any compensation from the complex, but the story doesn't ends there, at the time of moving out, instead of helping me, because I needed to move sooner due to job reasons, I had to pay a fee. Now that I have time back, I will take this to a lawyer to see if I have a case. If you want to live in Flagler Village, find yourself another place. Remember we all have to be humans. I'm wondering if that would have been the Property managers cars, what would she have done?

Solmar On Sixth is a great community to live in as the apartments are spacious, multiple floor plan options, updated finishes, great amenities and friendly leasing staff.

THIS is the place to call home. Management is extremely responsive and accommodating. Maintenance of the building is superior. There are always residents who wont be as respectful if the rules, but Management does everything necessary to hold anyone accountable when they need to. This is why Ive been here for almost three years.
