Property Ratings at Somerpoint
Roach infestation and spiders. The pest control company doesn't help at all seems like I see more roaches when he comes. The price of rent is ridiculously high for these crappy apartments. The police is always here any time of the day. When people smoke cigarettes and weed in their apartments it comes through the floors walls and vents. Worse place ever.
ROACHES EVERYWHERE! Worse lease ive ever signed and suffered through. The very first night I moved in I turned on my kitchen light and roaches scattered everywhere on the counters and floors. From that day forward I was never able to turn out my kitchen or bathroom lights out due to the bugs my power bill was outrageous thanks to the bugs, I had pest control spray constantly I fogged I tried EVERYTHING...it was complete trash...those pictures are completely deceiving not one apartment here looks like that, there's leaks everywhere the woodwork and particle board falling apart EVERYWHERE...MOLD EVERYWHERE it even began to grow out of the vents and my apartment was supposedly upgraded which was a complete and utter joke....this place is horrible I would never sign a lease with this company again.
The management of the apartments are rude, its roach infested, they never fix anything unless you pester them and even then they might not do anything about your apartments the prices that they charge are ridiculous and not worth what you get to any new renters beware. if I could give less than 1 star I would I'd actually put a negative number if possible!!!
I have lived here about a year and half and enjoy this little complex. No issues, office staff is always helpful, MaryAnn goes above and beyond in helping. Great place, recommend it highly
Photos are completely deceiving. They have the worst roach infestation I've ever seen, pest control does nothing to them, their remodel crew is a complete joke and have been painting over mold for years, it began growing through the paint everywhere and even out of the vents after just a few months, they even painted debris into the walls and their resurfacing is horrible my countertops were peeling up everywhere and all bubbled up, same with the lenolium floor that had nails and loose change and filth sealed under it and all bubbled up and peeling in places, they dripped paint everywhere and just left it to dry so the floor looks horrible, the bathroom tile was just spray paint over nasty filthy tile I could see the filth through it. it was the worst and most disappointing lease I've ever signed. These units aren't worth half of the price they are charging and it's complete robbery. The roaches should be paying most the rent they sure take run of the place.
10 days into my lease I needed a way out ASAP. The occasion that I slept there every light was on... wanna guess why?! ROACHES! Every day, all times of the day, in every room/hallway. They had someone come out and “spray” and fog the apartment and they were still there on move out day. Peggy loved to tell me she had no complaints aside from me, but my neighbors in C building may say differently. I was lucky to get out of my lease but save your time, money, and furniture. I never unpacked a stitch of clothing and all kitchen items lived in the fridge.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are sad to hear that your experience with one of our homes was a negative one. We take all customer service issues very seriously and will take the necessary action to ensure that your issue is handled appropriately. We hate that we lost you as resident and hope your past experience does not deter you in the future from considering us as a new place to call home.
If you are looking for a decent and affordable place to stay not too far from the city, this place is great but it could use some work. The hallways are not kept up and there is an old outdoor odor that will linger. My biggest issue with the property is bug infestation, lots of roaches and ants in my unit. There is a mandatory infestation treatment every two weeks but it does not help much. Maintenance turn around times takes a while as well but other than that, this is a good place.
I had a scheduled appointment in the morning that I was looking forward to. When wearrived the lady who answered the door (who I believe is Peggy, if I’m not mistaken) asked us how she could help us. We told her we had an appointment and she said “oh no they were supposed to call you, they didn’t let you know?. We don’t have any available. What kind are you looking for?” I told her a one bedroom. She says it’s not ready and which I apparently misheard her say to come back tomorrow after 3pm but I came back that same day after 3pm. She told me she had told me tomorrow I told her I must of misheard and asked her if anyone else was looking at the apartment and she says yes and that the person already put money down. She also said whoever pays first would get it. I told her I had the money and she says oh no honey I don’t accept cash, money order only. I said okay. Then she says I would also need your paystubs. I said okay. Went home very disappointed. What’s the point of making an appointment if you can’t even attend me to my appointment? Very unprofessional and lack of communication. Wasted a day of work and gas.
I just moved in a few months ago. Im very happy here. Office is very attentive and maintenance is quick on getting things done. I wish they have a pool though. Overall, good place to live.

My Fiance & I Moved To Somerpoint Apartments In February Into A Newly Renovated 1bd & Absolutely LOVE IT. Its Spacious, Clean, Quiet & In A Convient Area With A Great Price On Rent. Also The Staff Is Amazing, They Really Treat You Like Family & Take Great Care Of Their Tenants. Moving Here Was Definitely The Best Decision We Made. We Most Definitely Will Be Renewing Our Lease Or Upgrading To A 2Bd To Start A Family. I Highly Recommend Somerpoint! - Amanda
Having lived in Somerpoint for two years I just want to commend the Management Staff. I come from a Real Estate background in NYC and I know how tenants complain. I however am writing you to compliment the Management Team here at Somerpoint. It is a pleasure to go into the office because Allan is so warm and friendly and Fabiana is totally professional and knowledgeable, with a wonderful personality. I know a good staff when I see one and the staff at Somerpoint is NUMBER 1. You have made a great choice in your staff. Thank You.,,
The new staff is AMAZING! They're so friendly and you can always expect a warm welcome when entering the leasing office. Fabiana & Alan are on their A-GAME! My issues are always resolved quickly, the Maintenence staff is friendly, fast & efficient and the property is looking better every day with their changes! You can live anywhere, but living in a community where the staff actually cares about their tenants is priceless! Thank you, Fabiana & Alan for making me proud to call Somerpoint Apartments my home.
