With its spectacular mountain views and numerous palm trees, Chino is a favorite city in San Bernardino County for good reason. The city is adjacent to Chino Hills State Park, a popular area in the Santa Ana Mountains foothills for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Chino is also home to Prado Regional Park, a popular park with a fishing lake, hiking and biking trails, campgrounds, a disc golf course, picnic areas, horseback riding, and a shooting range where shooting events were held during the 1984 Summer Olympics.
As a key city of the Inland Empire, Chino has a long history as a hub for agriculture, especially dairy farming. The city's slogan reflects its agricultural roots: Where Everything Grows. While it is much more suburban today, the city still retains some of its rural feel. The city is award-winning and is often used as a filming location. Downtown Chino hosts a variety of events, including a weekly farmers market.

Property Ratings at Somerset Apartments
Somerset is always well cared for and any maintenance issues are handled immediately. Very nice tenants and great management staff.
My wife and I needed a temporary place to stay as we were between houses. We came across the Somerset apartments and were blown away by how nice they were. The villa apartment we had was finely appointed with upgraded paint schemes, cabinets and tile. We had a large patio with a large adjacent storage room. The office staff was always kind and responsive. The maintenance staff was always quick to respond to issues and were professional and capable. Overall, we had a wonder experience staying here and would highly recommend the apartment to others.
This review is geared toward our experience of touring the complex for a 1bd 1 ba on 10/6/18. We were greeted by a woman in the leasing office. She was kind, funny and had a wonderful personality. I could immediately tell that this place has great maintenance because it well kept (no trash on the ground and clear walkways). It includes all amenities most apartment complexes have and parking is great. We got to tour the model apartment which was amazing! All the appliances and counters were placed well which made it feel like a home. The balcony was spacious and covered. Overall, it was the best we have seen but there is a wait list for 1 bedrooms. if your looking for a 2 bedroom supposedly they are easier to get.
My wife and i moved in a couple years ago. What i love is that management didnt just offer us a price. They aallowed us to give a price we could afford and they decided to give it to us at that offer. The second thing i love is that there are many military personnel and police officers and fire fighters that live at the apartment complex. The apartment complex is not congested with people and they like to keep things safe so not just anyone can come in or out you need your own clicker to go out the gate. Very family friendly. I would give it five stars but we live next to neighbors who have a small dog that they allow to be out late at night and at times barks and barks and wakes me up. But i heard they are not allowing dogs anymore for new residents. Other then that great place to live.
