Property Ratings at Somerset
Somerset has been home for over 12 years. Last year, the Lund Company became our new property company. We have a great management team, Desiree, Kristin, and John. They work together seamlessly as a team to provide us with the best comforts of newly renovated apartments and beautiful landscaping, and an open invitation to grab pop, gourmet coffee, and even a few icy cold beers. Can't stop there. If you have a sugar tooth, get in there early, grab some fresh cookies, a variety of snack-size candy bars, and they even have a few bags of chips. At first, my sister, Susie and I grabbed a bunch of goodies and asked the girls how much we owed them. They said not a dime. That blew us away. They provide this everyday. That is a unique and a fun treat, thanks Somerset! Our management team takes pride in keeping our apartments and the landscaping maintained for the amazing beauty and scenery we get to see when we open our shades or take our daily walk on the walking path that goes around the entire property. They have the best maintenance manager, John. He is kind, friendly, timely, highly skilled, and always gets the job done. Desiree and Kristin are kind, friendly, easy going, fun, and go out of their way to make us all happy campers. Things are changing with a fresh new vision. It was much overdue and the timing was right. The Lund Company has been proving that they are transparent and approachable, and reasonable problem-solvers. Ultimately, Somerset, prides itself creating the perfect atmosphere of comfortable, safe, and fun living!
Property Manager at Somerset, Responded To This Review
Wow, we're glad you had such a wonderful experience with us! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review!
My roommate and I have lived at Somerset Apartments since May and we have absolutely loved it. While many apartments lack storage and kitchen space, Somerset has apartments that can fit all of your kitchen necessities. Somerset Apartments also does a great job on maintenance work around the complex to make the facility stand out and look presentable. If you ever have an issue with anything the staff at Somerset is so reliable and willing to help you as soon as possible. Above all else the location of Somerset Apartments is something you cannot beat. With restaurants such as Brewskies and Runza down the street it’s a prefect quick commute for a bite to eat. Would highly recommend living in Somerset Apartments!
My boyfriend and I have lived here for almost a year now, and I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. We share a 1 bed 1 bath apartment on the 3rd floor. It’s highly accommodating with beautiful views of East Lincoln off our balcony. Not to mention has beautiful vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, and the friendliest staff around. They do seasonal contests where you can win prizes. Another great thing is sometimes we’ve had issues such as breaking our key in the door or leaking from the dishwasher and all of the problems we have had, have been solved within 24 hours. Very happy here!
I’ve only lived here for 2 months, and I enjoyed it the staff is super friendly. Very clean and if u need something fixed they get it done really fast. Love it!!!!
This apartment claims to be cat friendly, but is not. I moved into a third floor with my two cats, and less than a month later my downstairs neighbor started harassing me multiple times a week, because it turned out he could hear the cats playing through the floor. He would pound on my door, yell through my door, bang on the ceiling, and it eventually led to him calling the cops on me. It seemed more about intimidation than noise at that point. I also had my landlord knock one day and shove past me into my apartment before I had the chance to even get my door open all the way. She proceeded to tell me that I needed to make a schedule with the neighbor for when I could allow my cats to play, and besides those times they needed to be locked/confined to one area of the apartment. I was the one at fault according to the lease, because my cats were disturbing another tenant. I was eventually forced to move out all because my cats were too loud when they played. I am not quite sure why they would even allow cats then if they are heard that easily by others. This place has been a nightmare. I had to continue to pay rent until I found someone new to move in, and was charged a plethora of fees for breaking my lease. I had never felt unsafe in my own home like that, and constantly on edge waiting for the next time someone would show up at my door. I felt scared when my cats would play, but didn’t want to scold them for doing so. I’m personally quite the goody goody rule follower so to be questioned in my own apartment by cops due to a noise complaint on cats, and me being the one to be kicked out was mind blowing and traumatizing. I suggest not risking it here with pets. If you don’t have animals I still doubt you’d want to live here since the floors are apparently so thin you can hear cats through them.
I have lived in my One Bedroom apartment for almost a year. The staff is very friendly and I have enjoyed my neighbors as well. I have only had to use maintenance a time or two but the response was great. I would recommend Somerset.
My apartment was crawling with ants and the apartment complex came in a week late, did something and didn't finish the job. They'll do everything in their power to keep your deposit so kiss that goodbye. Lived there for almost two years, moved out recently. Would not deal with the management. I contacted Liberty Property Management directly and they scoffed at me so good luck dealing with them. Unprofessional.
Dish washer broke, left three messages over the course of three weeks. No responses. Wild turkey running in the back of the apartment, loose cats, all sorts of animals. Parking lot is shabby, constantly stuff being left out and they keep raising the price of rent. Carpets are dirty and smelly and the hall always smells like smoke. The staff play favorites with some of the tenants, so tired of this kind of behavior.
I've lived here for over a year now, everything I've ever reported has been taken care of quickly and fantastic. The office staff are so sweet and really care about you. I almost moved to Lions Head but ended up picking this place for the staff alone!
