Property Ratings at Somerset Mews
Lived for a short time but I would rate it excellent. Chris is just too good. She is highly responsive & always have a resolution for you. She is very particular & efficient office bearer. The apartments are big & has ample parking space. I wish it had more lamps otherwise very well managed. It's pretty safe & you have all different cuisine nearby either on Rt-27 or US-1. They clear the snow & fallen trees quickly to clean the roads.
I have been living in Somerset Mews since end of 2009. Overall I did like the community, I have really nice neighbors that are super friendly. I am not really a walking around type of person, so cant say too much about the community as a whole, but the few times that I did walk around the complex people seems to be nice. The staffs and Chris are very helpful too, whenever I have issues they are very prompt to solve the problems. There is a suggestion that I would like to make though; which not sure if its doable, but because there are so many apartments in one section all share the same parking lot, that a lot of times there will be people from outside or people with extra cars that will take up the parking space making it a bit inconvenient for the actual tenant to park the car. If its anytime of the year I would be ok, but winter time... especially after snow I will notice that after you shovel yourself out, others will take your spot and you will have to shovel your way back in after you come back. So I suggest that maybe they can assign each apartment one dedicated parking spot closest to their apartment and let all other guest find parking that's close to the apartment.
Very nice place to live . Spacious and nice apparent only problem with this appartment is staff there and super's need to change there bad attitude
I've been living at Somerset Mews since about August of 2010, so approximately five years. On the whole, I have had a great experience there, though it started off a little bumpy. The bumpy start wasn't really the staff's fault - there were two kids (maybe early twenties) living in the building adjacent to mine who appeared to be heavy drug users. Eventually, they were kicked out, but the last night I saw them they were extremely strung out and violently deranged - it was the most surreal scene... the girl was banging on my door at one point saying her boyfriend was about to kill her. By the time the police showed up, the entire neighborhood was outside watching these two go at each other, and it was about 3 AM. I'll never forget it. However, after those two were removed, everything suddenly became nearly perfect. I've not had any bad neighbors since then, and no maintenance issues whatsoever. The grounds of Somerset Mews have been kept very clean for the whole time I've been there, and I think they have a pretty awesome pool. It isn't one of these shallow lounge pools. It's a real pool, with 8ft depth at one end, and long enough to swim laps. I haven't used their tennis courts, but they always look in pristine condition. They also have a work-out room with treadmills and some weight equipment. The room isn't huge but it looks adequate for the average person's needs. The apartments feel large. I think it's because of the way that they did the floorplans. I've never been concerned about space. Also, aside from those two kids who are long gone, I've never been concerned about crime. People in the community are nice and get along fine. You see a lot of wildlife throughout the grounds as well. Deer tend to walk through the backyards a lot when it's not winter. The community is generally pretty quiet and there is plenty of greenery. If I had to give one slight downside over the years, it would be that the insulation of the apartments is not very good. I think this is due to the doors, which have gaps showing close to the floor. Chris, the woman working in the office, is fantastic. She's the nicest landlord staff person I've ever met. You'll see what I mean if you talk to her. Somerset Mews is a really great place to live. If it wasn't, I wouldn't have been there for 5 years. The only reason I am planning to leave now is due to a new job opportunity. Otherwise, I'd probably continue to rent there. Hope this was helpful!
Newly renovated apartment at Somerset mews! Beautiful updated kitchen with new appliances and countertops. The kitchen/dining room/ living room space is nice and open. There is a nice patio with sliding door that opens to a beautifully kept courtyard. Good closet space for 1-2 people. Central air and heat is a great option to have. Parking is easy and convenient located close to the apartment doors. Easy access to Verizon for cable, internet, and WiFi makes for easy set up. Bedroom is a good size, easily fits a queen size bed with one to two dressers. Nice space for moving out on your own for decent rent.
