Property Ratings at Somerset Park At Union Apartments
We moved in last year, was filled with roaches on the first day of living in, has also flooded downstairs. They never even checked in on us after we let them know what happened it just had to air dry itself out. Laundry facilities always not working and out of order and disgusting never cleaned. Ac leaks constantly and they take forever literally like 3 weeks or more to come out to fix it. Shower handles broke the first week and had to replace ourselves. Crickets constantly coming in from who knows where. Not worth the hard earned money you are paying to live here.
Property Manager at Somerset Park At Union Apartments, Responded To This Review
Hello, it's disappointing to learn that your experience with our community has been anything less than exceptional. Our team is committed to providing stellar service to all who walk through our doors, but it seems as though we missed the mark. We assure you that we follow extensive and regular pest control procedures to ensure our property is comfortable for our residents and address any pest-related concerns quickly and efficiently. Additionally, we try to fulfill all maintenance requests in a timely manner, though emergencies do take priority. We are sorry your experience was less-than-positive and invite you to contact our team regarding your concerns at your earliest convenience. Thank you.
I love it here overall. Yes, I've had some situations in the past with the PAST management team... BUT I'm thankful for the people that's in position today to help me with any issues I have while being here. Thank you so much much Deja (I think I spelled that right lol) for putting your foot down and have a heart for all us Somerset customers. Thank you so much! I hope you'll be here for a while so you can keep this place rolling the way it is today!
Property Manager at Somerset Park At Union Apartments, Responded To This Review
Hi! Thank you for posting your positive review. Our team here at Somerset is committed to providing high-quality customer service, and we’re thrilled to hear that we made a good impression on you.
Not a bad place for the price and area. Most people are fairly quiet and keep to themselves. Some apartments are outdated though and need repairs.
Do not be fooled by the good reviews!! Read the bad ones and believe every single one of them. This place is just lipstick on a pig. Old, moldy, musty, dirty, not maintained properly, poor customer service, just want your money. We have lived here for 3 weeks and will be leaving ASAP. They are even making us pay the buyout of 2 months! It appears that no money is ever put back into the property because there are no security lights in quite a few places, the gate to the property is never closed, and when you put in work orders it takes them over 2 weeks to half way fix the problem and 4 calls to corporate and an email that sounds like a form letter. I would not and will not recommend this property or company to anyone!
Look beyond the fresh coat of paint in the show apartments and parking lots. They cover real problems. Leaking plumbing causing mold. Outdated and worn out air conditioners. Leaking roofs. Sinking foundations. crumbling flooring and sub-flooring. Stay far away from this property.
The apartments they show you that are all fixed up are not how your apartment will look when they actually place u in one. Roaches are bad. and they want to pay to get a gate put up which isn’t even helping with anything and pay to get the parking lot repainted but they don’t care to fix anything that needs to be fix in your apartment. I hate it here and can’t wait till the least is up. Don’t waste your money here, You’ll be overly disappointed in yourself.
Why is it excellent? I’ll tell you why these apartments are SO AMAZING!! They raise your rent in the middle of a lease with no notifications! They love closing down with no explanation! The best thing is, they ALWAYS come and fix things when you need them fixed. I’ve had loose plugs, leaking refrigerator, Broken dishwasher, non working kitchen light and a balcony door that won’t close, and they NVER CAME IN!! Woah, amazing right? Did I mention they ACTUALLY fixed my leaking a/c unit (only when it inconvenienced the neighbors below me). Oh, and when you mention the fact that they’re not allowed to raise prices on you and threaten legal action, they completely ignore you! Isn’t that excellent? Oh yeah, amazing.
Do not choose these apartments!!! I live here and it's been one problem after the other. My bathroom ceiling was leaking from the ceiling and it took 3 weeks for them to "fix" it. Three months into my lease, they have tried to raise my payments by over $100! Nobody ever answers the phone in the office so good luck speaking to anyone
Do not rent an apartment at Somerset at Union. For one thing it is not safe. Shortly after I moved in a few months ago a young woman walked on on a burglar and was klled. Then just this past Sept an argument gone bad resulted in a man being shot to death right outside in the parking lot near my unit. Next is the property management they are extremely rude and do not fix things that need fixing like 30 yr old AC units or replacing 30- 40 yr old stoves. They also like to charge you outrageous fees on your monthly rent bill that they do not tell you about when you sign your lease. You will pay at least $ 100 more than they say your rent will be. Also valet trash is not always picked up like it should be and they will not take it off your rent. So you are charged $ 18 a month whether they feel like collecting your trash or not.
They Charge you fees like for valet trash that is not optional and rarely provide the sevice 18.00 dollars a month they also charge you a fee just to pay your rent to them every month, Most of the ac units are undersize and around 30 years old so during the dog days of summer they can not keep up no matter what you have your Thermo stat set at mine was set at 76 this summer and anytime the temp was 85 or above out side it could not cool my apt downw below 82 degrees, the property mananger rereal nice til they get you to sign that lease, but after that they become downright rude and condesending when you bring ssomthing to there attention, a girl got murde here with in 2 weeks after i moved in march of 2017 the security they have is a joke at best so dont believe them when they say we have securite so you will be safe they only respond if you make a call to them, they do nothing to actively prevent anything or to make there residents feel safe they only have securits cameras at the entraces of your building walk way. put in somerset park apartments at union in your google search bar and you will see a more acurate reviews of this place and more recent reviews, i wish i would had look at reviews from the google reviews then reley on these other sites before i decided to move in here. be warn if you do decide to move in here dont complain cause you have been warn, also other resident have complain about bed bugs roaches and other pest that invade ther apartments i am lucky they have not made it to mine yet i have been here 6 months and only sprayed once for pest but we are charge a fee for that to every month, this place does really suck 30 year old applainces anytime it rains the walkways are flooded i can go on and on about the problems with this place but i think you get the picture only good thing is that the water is nice and hot and stays hot a long time.
When I moved in I was 20 weeks pregnant when they showed us the model it was nice and clean as was the apartment we were suppose to get when moving Day came they gave us keys to a diffrent apartment then the one they showed us it was discussing the carpet was dirty the floor had bugs in it everything was discussing we had a lot of cleaning to do before we could even move in. Once we moved in we found black mold in the cubby crawl space on the second floor which they refused to fix every time I told them about it they would say they would get it taken care of and never did. Then the downstairs bedroom which was to be my daughters room in the closet their was a huge bubble filled with water they told me they would take care of it. It took them two days to take care of it. When we broke the lease because of them not fixing things and the mold still being their after my daughter was born we moved my mother in law also lived her and she left because their were birds coming through her dryer hookup and making nest she also had black mold worse then us and she's a clean freak so please please save your money their are cheaper places that take better care of you the office staff is a joke so is the managers. The only lady who was great left they don't keep staff long rather if that doesn't tell you something
We have lived here for 12 months. We have been robbed twice and a man was murdered here early this morning. The last time our townhome was broken into, the door was busted. It took nearly three weeks and calls to corporate to get the door replaced and the job finished properly. Heidi and Madalynn were very condescending regarding the repairs, telling both my husband and I on multiple occasions untrue things that they had to retract when they were informed by their own maintenance guys they were wrong. I had to call corporate because it was taking so long and I had inch gaps between the door jam and the walls where you could actually see outside and Heidi and the front staff refused to acknowledge it was a pressing issue since it was a Friday and they couldn't be bothered. When we asked to move to a different unit because we felt unsafe, we were told it would take $400 and a 30 day written notice. The complex talks about security and safety, but it actually isn't a priority. They only have security cameras that cover the entrances. So not really helpful for the crimes that actually happen. They also have "security" at night, but these guys sit in their cars waiting for calls. They don't even patrol. Just because the location seems great, it's a crime hotspot and management won't tell you.
I lived at Somerset for a year and a half and would not recommend this place at all. A total of 14 service request were made by me in that short amount of time. The a/c went out four times during the summer and it always took two to three days for them to fix it. Carpet & appliances were horrible and the manager wouldn't even respond to my emails about concerns I had when I moved out. Parking was also awful and I had to always park a long ways from my apartment. The location is convenient but that's the only good thing I can say about this place.
We were relocating to Tulsa for work. Our leasing agent was amazing! We were also able to get more apartment for our money at Somerset Park @ Union. The staff has been great, and the location of the complex couldn't be more convenient. Glad we chose Somerset Park...
We love it here. Ciara, Heidi, Tyler, and Madeline have been great. Maintenance staff is quick to fix something broke. For the price, it is just right for us. Wish they had adult only time at the pools. Wish the 1 bdrm townhouse also had a downstairs bathroom. 1/2 bath would be great. Parking is scarce at times, but it is what it is. Nice quiet complex.
My apartment is Somerset Park at Union. The management here is awesome. They constantly ask if there is anything I need or need for them to do. When I do have an issue they are usually here to resolve the issue within 24 hours. The complex is neat and we'll kept.
