Property Ratings at Somerville Gardens
From start to finish, everything has been a smooth transition. I'm very happy with how close I am to down town Somerville, the train station and 287. The apartments are beautiful and the neighborhood is pretty quiet!
I recently moved into this hidden gem of an apartment property, and I couldn't be more thrilled with my decision. From the moment I stepped onto the premises, I knew I had found a place to call home and start my new life. The neighborhood surrounding the apartment is nothing short of idyllic. Nestled in a quiet and friendly community, the property enjoys a serene atmosphere perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, with lush greenery, well-maintained sidewalks, and lots of parking space. One of the standout features of this apartment complex is the incredibly supportive and responsive management team. The manager and staff have been exceptional from the initial inquiry to move-in day. They are approachable, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to meet the residents' needs promptly. It's truly reassuring to know that there's a dedicated team ready to assist and create a sense of community. Overall experience, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, welcoming environment and neighborhood. However, I would be remiss not to mention that it would be perfect if the units included a washer and dryer. While the community laundry facilities are convenient, having an in-unit washer and dryer would be a significant upgrade and add great convenience for residents.
We received our keys promptly on the designated time and date. The apartment was extremely clean when first entering with new appliances and finishes. Overall I recommend the somerville garden apartments!
I’ve been living here for about 3 months now. So far it’s been great! My electric bill has not been as high as the other reviews- October it was $50 and November it was $80. I’m expecting it to go up this winter but definitely not outrageously expensive. I also turn the heat off during the day as I go to work. There is plenty of parking and the new management has added new appliances to the kitchen. I have requested to management that they add a bike rack to the area as there are plenty of great bike paths and parks in the area. It would be great if they can follow up on that request. Overall I’m happy with the apartment and it fits well for me and my budget. I’d recommend this place to my friends and family.
Hard to even rent this place considering they don’t ever get back to you. I’ve called numerous times and sent numerous emails asking to be in their waitlist or get an idea of availability but no response ever. Guess they don’t want new tenants. If they’re so unresponsive now before someone moves in, I’m sure they’re way worse after one moves in

I am sorry to hear that happened in the past. The property is now under new management, and we work to provide excellent customer service.
PSE&G bill to heat this one bedroom will cost you about $300-400 a month. Management doesn’t care and won’t do anything about it. Don’t walk, RUN AWAY!
They are horrible when they do their lawn maintenance . They will mow and weed whack and get alll over your car they have no respect. Now my car has dings and chips of paint!! I’m very upset ??
