Property Ratings at SoNa at Harding
Quiet, cozy community. Everyone is so friendly and the manager,Luz, is very helpful. If I ever have an issue her team knows exactly how to help.I’ve been here for 6 years and it’s been great!
When moving in, you could tell my apartment had not been cleaned. We had a significant roach issue, and when we spoke to the property manager about it, she said that she had initially seen a few before we moved in but didn’t think there would be a problem. I ended up staying in a hotel for a week before I actually moved into my apartment and had to personally buy things to treat the roach problem. The leasing office would not compensate for anything. After a week of complaining, they finally had a pest control guy come and spray the apartment. When we moved in, the paint on our walls was chipped, the floor was lifting, and our washing machine/drier (a 2-in-1) barely worked. they still have yet to do anything about it.
I have lived here for about 4 months now and I have never felt safe in my apartment. I am a 22-year-old female. My packages outside my door have been stolen by my neighbors, one of my neighbors HIT MY CAR and the police and insurance somehow still haven't been able to get his information, and now my neighbors have been stealing my wifi and causing me to pay overage fees. I have spent so much extra money here just because the people who live here have caused me to do so. The staff here are great and I have had no issues with them, but if you are at all worried about your safety and want to sleep at night, do not live here.
Absolute trash management. I paid my rent on time, minded my own business, never complained about anything and had no issues with anybody. I understood where I was living when I moved in and figured it was worth saving the money. Loud music blaring all hours of the day and night, domestic disturbances in the hall, completely trashed common areas, and extremely loud washer-dryer all-in-ones that shake the whole building. That's what you'll find here on top of leaky roofs, uneven floors, molded out drywall, and huge moisture issues. The absent management is a plus, because you'll never have to worry about being fined for keeping trash on your balcony. Finally my lease ended and move out day came. After setting an appointment for an inspection, I vigorously cleaned the empty apartment to avoid any fees. When the appointment time came, I couldn't reach anyone in the office. Finally being fed up, I walked over and found they had all decided to take lunch. Patiently waiting for them to get back, I went back over the apartment to make sure I didn't miss anything. The staff returned from lunch later than the posted time and after I explained I was ready to get the process over with, very kindly, I was told they were on their way. Fast forward an hour: NOBODY SHOWED UP! NOT EVEN A COURTESY CALL! So I walk my not so happy behind back over to the office and the staff were literally sitting there doing NOTHING. I explain the situation again as calmly as possible and all I start hearing is excuse after excuse about how they had "some things" pop up. I let them know I have a recorded phone call where the appointment was set for 1pm and a picture of their sign that said they'd be back from lunch at 1:30pm. The time was now 3:15pm. Frustrated that I was not only deprived of the right as a tennant to be present for the final inspection, I handed the staff member my keys and informed her that I had taken pictures and videos to ensure there will be evidence in my favor if I am charged any erroneous fees. Word of advice pay the extra $100 a month and choose somewhere else. It'll save you so much stress.
I lived at Sona for 2 years and honestly it was a horrible experience. First of all in two years I think that the property changed companies 3-4 different times, and we had at LEAST 4 different property managers during my time there. I understand that is not the current people's fault, however they would not take responsibility for the crappy things the prior management company did but still held us to our non-refundable deposit that the previous company didn't explain to us. The following things were wrong: -No hot water in the kitchen sink for the first 3 months we were there -Master bathroom didn't have a working toilet the first 3 months -Master bathroom had ONLY hot water in the sink for the first 3 months -Our laundry (a 2 in 1 washer and dryer) never worked properly and I had to hang my clothes to dry - they never fixed it and never even offered to get us a new machine -Our dishwasher leaked so badly for MONTHS that we had pooling water in our kitchen, and it was leaking even when the machine was off -Never came and fixed the things we listed on our initial walk through and very possibly charged us for it when we moved -Our neighbors were SO LOUD there was screaming from their kids at all hours -The management overall was rude and unhelpful -Our air conditioning never worked properly which they claimed was not fixable because it was just an old system, but that made our electric INSANE during the summer (2 bedroom with 3 people and we all paid at least 35-40 dollars a month bringing our total to well over $150 per month all summer) -The stairs leading up to my apartment were literally crumbling for the first year I lived there, and then when they did fix them they were uneven and cause my roommates dog to fall The prices here are NOT WORTH IT. Live anywhere else.
This is by far the worst apartment I have ever lived in. Floors are falling in, and constantly have water damage issues. Ask to see you actual apartment. What you tour and what you get are night and day. Beware
Love management at Sona, maintenance staff is very efficient and do a great job. We love living here!
We have been residing here for a little over a year & I Must say that the New Management & Maintenance Staff are Amazing. Which caused us to renew our lease. The Staff are extremely Kind, as well as are very concern about our residential living & atmosphere. All maintenance issues are handled promptly without delay, normally within a 24 hr turn around time. Just the Love & Concern by the New Management Staff for the residents & up keep of the apartment complex makes this a Very Pleasant place to live. Thank you Sona at Harding Place Staff.... 's. I just moved in two months ago. Everything is broken in my unit. Neither shower works, the dishwasher leaks, half the doors don't shut all the way and half the cabinets are missing hardware. When I moved in there was a gross, dusty film on EVERYTHING. There is no lock on my mailbox, it just fell off the first time I went to open it. I asked to get it fixed and the management told me I would have to pay the post office $25 to fix THEIR mailbox. The worst thing though is the floors. Within the first couple days of living here, the floor in our hallway started to give way. Apparently, underneath the laminate there are multiple large holes that drop into the crawlspace. I asked management to fix the floors, all they did was lay a flimsy piece of plywood over the biggest hole and called it a day. There are still multiple squishy spots all over my unit where the floor under the laminate is rotting away. It's a serious health and safety hazard. Don't live here. It sucks, a lot. Wish I could give it zero stars.
Rent was generally less than surrounding apartments and somewhat worth the price. Customer service from leasing office has been the worse, they have switched property managers 2x in less than a year. I’ve had some maintenance issues, which took weeks, months if any response. Also walls are thin so will hear your neighbor. Close to interstate and good location for getting to brentwood, antioch, and downtown. For price apartment is spacious.
After reading several reviews about Sona, I was hesitant to tour this place. But it was so close to my work, conveniently located to the interstate, and it was one of the few places that fell within my budgeted price point. I came in for a tour and was super impressed with the new upgrades and changes that have been made. After taking a chance and moving in, I couldn't be happier! You won't find an apartment this close to Nashville for the price unless its a complete dump. Most of these reviews on here are older and scare people away, but there is a new owner, new management, new everything. Give this place a chance. I'm happy that I did!! I've already recommended it to my friends/family!
12 minutes away from downtown 10 minutes from the airport! Renovated units! I just moved from New York so the quality of life is 10x better and coming from Atlanta and NYC I can't complain about the little things.
I am a Chicago transplant after having fallen in love with Nashville on my first visit! Moving from one state to another can be pretty scary, especially in a short time frame as I’m doing! With that being said, Becca in the leasing office made it so easy & stress free for me! She was also very patient with me as I was going back and forth with places I was looking at. The renovated apartments feel like a very stunning cozy country home. Becca is a great example of Southern hospitality at its best!
Horrible place to stay. Looks ok but when anything goes wrong they never fix it and if they do it takes months and months. Stairway lights been out for months scary to leave at night and still nothing done as if it was vaccant. Air been out for months and its so uncomfortable and hot and the office has been notified and has done nothing. Sad how they treat you after you sign your lease dont do it!
ZERO STARS!!!! BUGS!!!! ROTTING WOOD!!!! WOLDS WORST MANAGEMENT STAFF!!!!! EVERYTHING IS BROKE!!!!! I have never in my life written a review but I will make an acception for this horrible place. Cheap prices and nice finishes caught my attention but I did not know what I was getting myself into. Having several issues I've contacted the office when I have then been told "they do not have time" to do their job. Nobody knows what in the world is going on or how to do their job. Do not have a question bc they will not be able to answer it or will lie to your face or not return your email or answer the phone when you call. While you're redoing the rest of your apartments please hire new property managers who know can can do their jobs. Worst mistake of my life was moving here!!!!!!
Applied for an apartment online because it said it was available for move in, after taking $50 application fee plus an additional $149 administration fee I was told there was a month or more wait. The complex looks nice but the advertising of availability just to get money is not right. Need full refund because wouldn't have applied had I known the apartment wasn't available.
Drove by the property today, and it appears that most of the apartments are gutted. There was no sign of contractors, yet some of the empty apartments had the patio doors wide open. Im not sure if they are actively renovating, but it appeared only a few residences were occupied (about 10 cars in the whole parking lot at 7:30 pm). This may explain some of the other reviews. Proceed with caution.
I have been working with someone for the last month trying to get into this place because it looks so nice in these pics. This person is giving me very little information at a time and is drawing out the process. I applied for one apartment with 3 bd rms and it was changed to a 1 bd rm... doesn't matter to me I wanted the 1 to begin with but I am seeing that this is not a very good idea
I been here for almost 2 years so ready to move out ! still waiting for the repairs that they should did BEFORE we even move in to the apartment, the "new leasing staff 2013" like the previous one , never do nothing about my 5 times submitted repair sheet , for the unfinished issues that we found when first move into the apartment, the "Latin lady" form the office every time i went to check for when Im gonna get my apartment issues fixed she just show that smile on her face like she don't even care..the out side of the apartments its poor ..dirty property! So sad bcs the size of the aptms and balconies are beautiful but this poor maintenance its just incredible!!
