Located on the southeast side of Texas A&M University, the Wolf Pen Creek District sits along Anderson Street and follows Wolf Pen Creek on its north and east side. Wolf Pen Creek District is less than a block from the Campus Course at Texas A&M, an 18-hole, on-campus golf course that includes a driving range and a practice area. The course is available to Texas A&M students, faculty, and staff at a discounted rate. It is also open to the public for a slightly higher rate.
While it's true that you'll find ample student housing in Wolf Pen Creek District, this charming, tree-filled neighborhood is perfect for non-students, as well. Wolf Pen Creek District is about a block from a large shopping district, filled with stores like Bed, Bath & Beyond and Kohl's as well as restaurants like Napa Flats Wood-Fired Kitchen.

Property Ratings at Sonoma Apartments
I stayed here for as long as 3 years and I absolutely loved my experience ! Spacious apartments (I lived in a 2b2b duplex), reasonable price, very friendly and accommodative staff, prompt maintenance, nice location (with plenty of shops and restaurants around, a short drive away from HEB, and just a few steps away from a Route 27 bus stop). I absolutely have nothing to complain about even after staying for as long as 3 years. We were provided with some complimentary groceries and a pizza coupon on the day we moved in, as an effort from their end to help us with a smooth transition. We simply loved that wonderful gesture ! Also they arrange for coffee, donuts and kolaches on the first (working) days of every month for the renters who would drop by to pay the rent, which I haven't seen anywhere else. I just have one piece of suggestion for the management. I personally find the system of using quarters in the laundry room quite inconvenient. If it is possible to replace this system by rechargeable cards, I believe that would be more convenient.
Well, they deserve no stars. I am living here and I would suggest the potential tenants not to rent in any of their properties. They will talk nicely before you sign the lease. The quality of their townhomes is horrible.
Pro: We love that it's quiet, and within walking distance of Wolf Pen Park. Maintenance is fast and responsive. The green areas with walkways are nice. We like the 2 stories, so that we don't have anybody above or below us. Con: ?? We've been tenants for Pia (owner of Sonoma) for about 4.5 years, and having nothing to complain about. In fact, we've stayed here specifically because we've liked her and the management.

Thank you so much for taking time to leave a review. We are so glad that you are happy with us and have been with us for all those years.
Do not rent from these people! Management is terrible. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

Please let us know why our management is terrible so that we can improve. Feel free to contact the office at 979-696-7275 or email us at sonoma.manager@gmail.com.
I love my hardwood style flooring and the counters and cabinets. The two story town house style layout feels like a home and works great with a roommate. Maintenance and staff is very friendly. I wish they were faster when painting/touching up the exterior of the buildings. There has been just primer left on some areas that can be seen from Dartmouth. Other than that I love living here. Very quiet and pretty landscaping, too!
This place is ran by the most discourteous person. They denied our application because of a minor implication that was on my husband's record from over 10 years ago when he was in HIGH SCHOOL! RIDICULOUS! Not worth the price they want anyway, rundown and old interior.
Property Manager at Sonoma Apartments, Responded To This Review
I am sorry you feel this way. However, we do have our guidelines that we must go by and your current landlord would not respond to us so we could approve or deny you. Also, the apartment that you were interested in renting the tenant decided to not sublease anymore. There was nothing we could do about it since we did not have any other apartments available for the time you wanted to move in.
I'm a college student, and my roommate and I have lived here for the past two years. These apartments have plenty of space - we love having a two-story apartment, and at a great price too! Maintenance is always out the same or next day to fix whatever we need, and it's a very quiet community. I'd highly recommend living in these apartments, and paying a little extra to have a washer and dryer in the unit was worth it for us. The location is also perfect - everything is within a 10/15 minute drive. We've loved living here!
The environment here is nice and quiet. Price is good, especially in this city, but the pet deposit was high ($400). The layouts are spacious but in the 2 bed/ 2 bath, both bathrooms are upstairs. The office staff is nice but if you want something done they sometimes need a gentle reminder. The maintenance staff is ever changing and they either take a while to answer a maintenance request or they have to come back because it wasn't done right the first time. I don't like not having a washer and dryer in the apartment I am in, but some do come with hookups at a higher price. This complex is older so expect some maintenance issues, but know that they will eventually get fixed if you let the office know. In the end, I just renewed my lease and plan to stay here until graduation so despite the small hiccups these are good apartments for the price and no one is throwing parties in the middle of the week nor has any of the office staff ever been rude or given me trouble.
