My experience with Samoa at Porter Ranch was a complete disappointment. Despite being promised a three-day application process, I was left scrambling when the individual assigned to my application was unexpectedly unavailable for two days. This shortened my timeline significantly, and when I raised concerns, the staff's attitude suddenly soured. To make matters worse, they rejected some of my initially submitted documents, asking for alternatives, despite those documents being on their initial list. All this frustration came after I had already made a payment. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior make it clear: steer clear of Samoa at Porter Ranch.

Management is good. Maintenance is all right and reasonably prompt. Pretty sure that the units were designed for seniors. Light switches are placed low as if to accommodate people In wheel chairs, toilet tall for people with mobility problems, etc. A little weird and takes some getting used to. Walls are thin… Can hear your neighbor's TV when there's no ambient noise in your own unit. Besides that, the community is very peaceful. Each unit has its own garage (some with direct access to the unit), however they are TINY. My SUV does not fit and there is not really any room to store anything inside when there’s an average sized car in there. Other parking available for a small monthly fee. Visitor parking something of an issue as well. Very few spots available and they are ALWAYS taken. Overall, the place is great... clean, quiet and reasonably priced for what you get.
Ever been to a private Resort, that you felt had It all? Amazing empathetic and sincere leasing Agents and Managers, exceptional hospitality on any given day, caring neighbors who would give their last just to ensure you had what you needed to make it through a day, beautiful landscape, useful, clean and well maintained amenities, breathtaking views of the city, a top notch soaring school district, a community that is surrounded by great people and the most efficient and sincere maintenance team ever who has always been friendly, efficient and amazing at repairing, altering or accommodating any concern you may ever have on the property! I may not have the financial support to ever revisit a private Resort again, but why should I.... I live on one every single day!! Thanks Sonoma Apartment Homes for all that you do not only for me and my daughter, but for everyone who lives on this amazing private Resort of APARTMENT living! Who knew......
I'll start out with the only two negatives: the complex is in Porter Ranch (far from the city) and is very expensive compared to other rental communities a few miles away. Everything else is good. The management company changed recently and they not only do a good job, they make a real effort to keep out or get rid of problem tenants. The grounds are unfailingly maintained and are always clean. The pool is beautiful. There is no trash anywhere. And.. they allow pets (any size).
Not many know of this fairly new complex for seniors. It's lovely & close to a great shopping center in Porter Ranch. Gated community. The apts are beautifully done - kitchen is great. Large bathroom & washer & dryer provided in units. Love it here.
