Property Ratings at Sonoma Grande Apartments
Enjoyed living at Sonoma grande. Very nice apartments. Unfortunately was left was a bad taste after moving out and being hit with over $200 in charges. One of them being labeled as “topical pet treatment” and we did not have pets.
I lived here a little bit over a year ago. I just moved to Austin Texas and am searching for apartments. I realized how valuable reviews are and wanted to share my thought about on Sonoma! I look for three main things 1. convenient Location 2. Reasonable price 3.good atmosphere inside The location is awesome because you can hop on the highway to go anywhere you need. ORU, memorial, TCC, or even downtown The price worked great for me and my two roommates. We split utilities and with the rent including utilities I think it was only 500-550....!!! I loved how modern it looked on the inside and how clean the neighbhood felt. I was in and out a lot and had easy access to get out. The walls have great sound insulation which was huge for me and allowed privacy even though I lived with two other girls. I had to yell across the apartment to communicate haha. I really don’t have complaints, I think the toilet broke down once... but they got it fixed a few days later! It was fine.
The staff has been very helpful and accommodating. The apartments are beautiful and the grounds are well kept. I just love my apartment and I feel at home!

I like the gated aspect of the apartment property. Randy is very helpful and relays quality answers to questions about the complex.

I felt safe in the community and enjoyed our location in the front. I liked the spacious apartment layout even for a family of 4, 2 of which were teenagers. After living there for 2 1/2 years, it did appear the exterior buildings were not maintained as far as paint and regular cleaning.

The gates at Sonoma Grande were functioning for only 4 months out of our 13 month lease. In which case, our tires have been slashed (multiple times), and there have been countless calls to 911. Not worth the time or the money!

All was completed satisfactorily as far as I can tell. Mold is a scary thing to deal with and how it is removed and managed is beyond my knowledge.
The gates are frustrating... numerous times had to turn around and try a different gate to get in, and without a security guard at each gate anyone can get in if they want. Love when gates are broken or left open.

I love this sonoma grande. The maintenance is amazing and that's hard to find in apartments. The complex is clean and quiet. and the office answers every question you could ever have! 10/10 recommend
Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, plus the apartments are very nice and well kept!
It's a great place to live, I would recommend it for now. They just need to sort out the minor details and office personnel should be friendlier.
The community feels really safe and kind to each other. On our floor everyone greets each other in passing. The office staff is always nice to us and it feels like they know us well when we are in there. When we need help like maintenance, billing, etc. we always get a professional and quick response.
We have lived here since May (now Dec), in a 3 bedroom unit. The apartment unit itself is fine, although the windows let cold air in, you hear noise around you (baby crying next to us, company upstairs, bathroom conversations can be heard between floors, and music above us). It's to be expected in an apartment though. We continually have issues with our air unit going out and they have to keep coming in to replace parts, but they're quick and friendly. Have to remind them to change our air filters, but they did give us a new fire extinguisher at thanksgiving but didn't take the expired one. Carpet gets worn out quickly and the tile in the kitchen and dining is hard to keep clean because it's cheap. Again- expected in an apartment. Owners like to let their dogs poop off our back porch- which we use as our main entrance. None of that is the issue though and we'd deal with it if the actual complex was as advertised... We picked this apartment because it was gated. We have been at crappier complexes without security measures and we wanted to avoid that this time around. Yet, the gates have not worked since a week or two after we moved in. We have had 2 vehicles broken into since being here. The gate (right off our building) is constantly left open- literally don't think it can even close anymore. We will be moving to a real gated community or rental home as soon as our lease is up. I'm tired of people being able to drive in and out of the complex at anytime (lots just walk into the property) without any safety measures. Just know when you sign a $$$$ lease, you're not moving into a gated community.

I would because I like the location, the up keep of the grounds from what I did see, the staff in the office, and it was a very calming and pleasent atmosphere.
Office staff ARE ALWAYS UPBEAT and greets every resident.....BY NAME.grounds are kept immaculate, service if there is a issue has been taking care of very quickly .
My mother passed away the same day I signed my lease. I was traveling and making funeral preparations. The apartment staff were absolutely lovely to me. They made the move in process easy and accommodating to my circumstances. Randy was so kind, understanding, and helpful to me through this time.
The leasing agent was EXTREMELY nice and honest. She was not pushy and instead very patiently answered all of our questions to the best of her knowledge.
I reported the issue in the morning and when I arrived home later that day it had already been completed.
I would recommend this complex for anyone looking for a comfortable place on a good side of town. If they were looking for an apartment complex with al the latest amenities and social life I would hesitate as the property could use updates
I love living at Sonoma Grande. The manager, Michelle, is very hard working and genuinely cares about her residents. She always makes sure her maintenance team is on top of things. Jose is awesome and goes above and beyond what is expected when he comes to make repairs.
The office and maintenance staff are all very approachable, helpful, and professional.
It's relatively quiet and friendly.. decent location
I would recommend based on the outstanding office staff and service. But, if I were not to recommend it would be because there is so much noise after 10PM. It feels like I live in a college dorm. Often, I cannot rest during the night because of noise.
The only real problem I have is that I seem to be the only dog owner in my building that cleans up after my dog.
The water bill and utilities was a joke. Each month the sewage, water everything would increase more and more. The last month I didn't even live there and the bill was the highest it's ever been. One of the staff is very condescending when speaking. When I moved in they did not address any of the issues from the move in walk thru sheet. Other than that, great apartment.
Safe. Clean. Conveniently located. Great price for the space and quality.
Starting to look a little trashy.
Clean and well priced apartment. Excellent staff across the board. Every staff member in the office is fantastic.
I really like my apartment. However I think the "trash" thing could be improved. Also, my washing machine is so strong it is very hard on clothing.
I don't have anything to not recommend the property in relation to this incident. However, please understand timeliness can affect situations. This was the first day I had my pet home with me, he was anxious and I'll. I wanted to be with him during this time but due to the timelines I had to leave for a meeting at work. Upon my return he was terrified and it was a bad experience for his first day. It's a learning process for all but for me it's been a hectic and emotional move so this little glitch just piled on the top.
Office staff has always been incredibly friendly and helpful with whatever I need in regards to my apartment. Michelle and Randy are absolutely the best.
Would recommend for anyone looking for an apartment in South Tulsa. This is the BEST option for sure! Quiet, lots of green space, lots of space between buildings, lots of parking, nice amenities.
Noise is a huge problem. I believe there have been 3 or 4 upstairs neighbors since I've lived here and each one is louder than the previous one. Most have stomped around, some have had large dogs who bark and run at all hours, and they watch movies and listen to music at a much louder volume than necessary. I call security when I can't take it anymore but they don't do anything because they can't hear the noise from the corridor. Several neighbors who live beside me also play music very loudly late at night.
nice grounds, awesome pool, garages available, decent fitness center. Friendly, professional staff, good maintenance crew, apartments are in good condition. quiet neighborhood. Gated community.
